      I see two possibilities, either the fuel filter is clogged somehow or something strange happened inside the carb because the primer bulb staying collapsed.

    This little series is saving my mental health right now! 😂👌 Thank you so much for this! Just picked up a little "Power Mac 145" with a cracked primer bulb... replaced the bulb no problem, but the priming line from the fuel tank cracked off (more like split in 5 places) when re-installing, then I start digging in and check the other lines, the fuel tank to carb line literally fell to pieces between my fingers... I spent another 20-30 minutes trying to figure out how to remove the fuel tank, the trigger setup fell out and apart... anyway, this appears to be the exact same saw, just a different name, so this video is perfect! Thank you!!

    Nobody replaced the cover. I have the exact same saw except mine is called a MS1635 Instead of 1435 if you look at the model on top, you’ll notice it says 38 cc but on the side it says 35 cc apparently McCullough before they went out of business decided to play games with the model numbers. sure, either the carburetor is having problems delivering enough fuel to cold start, or the engine is worn to a point where it's hard for it to kick off like it used to. I would do a compression test to determine a wear issue.

      Just pull the muffler off and look inside at the piston and cylinder wall. If it looks good and not marred to hell check spark plug. If both of the two look good but it isn't running check the fuel and fuel lines. If at that point it runs but like shit its most likely a carb thing. Small engines only need compression spark and fuel to run. I fixed a really old mac 3200 in a few hours paying $14 on a new spark plug and fuel lines from ace plus some carb cleaner. But yeah before you buy any piece of equipment always see if you can at least pull the spark plug to check the cylinder walls and piston and if they are real nice ask to pull the muffler to check the side of the piston and its rings. The only thing that cannot be fixed for cheap is compression. Hope this helps.

    • @jonnysnipes3123
      @jonnysnipes3123 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      MegaYangman most likely someone was fooling around with the carb L And H so as long as it’s got compression and spark you will just have to tune it. You’ll know if your piston is scored from your exhaust blowing out a good amount of oil due to the extra amounts of fuel being forced into the cylinder through the score cracks and not being burned off so if you see that take the exhaust off immediately and check the piston for scrapes and scratches
