You’re right, it does. Any type of housing luxury or not is needed as it alleviates pressure & demand for units in the lower ranges. Furthermore, projects like this generate millions of dollars for the state - a lot of which goes to fund affordable housing initiatives.
Another boring, glass tower. The interior design is so uninspired and bland, cold. And it doesn't complement South Station at all. What's worse, I doubt anyone living here will "lower" themselves to using the mass transit hub its built on
Hi! Do you know if any of these will be subsidized? Boston is in desperate need of more affordable/mixed income housing so hopefully this does. Especially being right below accessible public transit - a dream come true for so many!
So I’m spending a couple million to live over a train and bus station?? So I can have a staff to make a dinner reservation or “manage” package delivery?? Can someone also floss my teeth each night? On site manicure/pedicure?
Due to the city's proximity to Logan International Airport, building height is restricted to about 800 feet. Buildings in Downtown Boston are even lower at 700 feet.
@@luxuryboston Miami has a bigger airport in the middle of the city, I mean not as close as Logan but you get the idea. This isn't even a law, this regulation can and should be changed.
Why would they want to? Huge skyscrapers damage city life - they create wind tunnels and block out the sun. One of the reasons Boston stands out among other large US cities is because it has done a great job of restricting building height.
I’ll guarantee it’s not for anyone watching TH-cam. Better to put a sales pitch at the Harvard Club or China and Dubai. With all the elite clientele that’s sure to grace the area, the panhandlers and homeless will get moved along.
It’s fascinating how random TH-cam posts can attract such insipid negativity. Comments section has become the virtual dog to kick. Mindless criticism is the hallmark of a weak intellect. Thanks for the peak inside! Some of the neighbors are friendly.😂
I don’t understand it either! May be jealousy.. but it helps my channel grow regardless so I don’t mind. Anyway, thank you taking the time to watch the video and comment!!
Anyone that can afford to live here can afford to live at raffles,Winthrop ,millennium and any building in seaport…..Winthrop and millennium are down the street from south station…most ppl living there don’t even use south station and if u did u could just walk it’s literally down the street…..entrance to ritz south station is a disaster pull up next to abunch of homeless junkies who hang around that spot because of the heat from the man hole covers…why would anyone want to pay big money to live essentially in one of the most dangerous areas of Boston…all walks of life r coming in and out of south station constantly….also views are bad ur literally looking into seaport (not ocean) buildings …this will be another st Regis disaster…when st Regis seaport recently threatened to pull the naming rights on the building because the building ownership was going to auction off apartments because the lack of capacity and lack of interest
@@apexsynthesis1 That is true, but I mean the area outside Millennium Tower isn't pretty either and units still sell at record prices. The views are actually great at South Station Tower, very unobstructed, even in the lower level units - I was just in the building with a client. I appreciate your insights & taking the time comment, you are very informed. It will be interesting to see how the building performs... I certainly hope its not another St. Regis lol.
ah just what Boston needs. more luxury condos.

I think the contrast between the two structures looks quite cool… but to each their own.
They should build a brick building just for you.

None in this development unfortunately.
now these are nice looking condos!
Agreed!
The bedroom doubles as a “ personal retreat “. 😂. What a joke.
Ok 👍
wonder who would live here, i would assume most would prefer moving to the suburbs for the peace. Probably rich foreigners.
A lot of people who have business in and around Greater Boston. Probably some empty nesters who want to move back into the city as well.

You don't seem enthused
Ah yes another collection to my real estate portfolio where I can seek haven from the smell of plebians 1000ft below
Lol
Ahhh yes 🙌
Why can't Boston build higher up high rises

This building looks ridiculous. Why would anyone want to live above South Station?!?

This project will fail miserably…..less then 2% occupancy I’m hypothesizing
