I think Zhong has actually gained value in the last couple of patches due to newer dps either being squishy or liking the interrupt resist and because every enemy in the abyss does 10 genshillion damage now
You forgot that abyss has 10billion hp over the 10 genshillion dmg, so any dps loss is bad nowadays. And zhongli is just that, dps loss when compared to xilonen.
@@alanparmar2797 I like him on Arlle teams to keep her above 70% for Bennet burst. Nothing beats the absolute bliss of sitting in the Bennet burst spamming the attack button and having everything die while watching Arcane in the corner of my screen
@@thatguy5143 that’s just wrong, I get that he has res shred but not as much as xilonens, interruption res is good for CA bow users but it’s still a niche asset that not every character needs it like maulani arle neuvi, they rather need dmg buff. Plus if your lazy fingers can’t dodge an attack once in a while maybe stay off abyss. I’m not saying BigDongZhong is bad, I’m saying he’s value is less now that we have better alternatives for him. But if you wanna rock him in your team, he’s perfectly viable. But the WHOLE POINT OF THE VIDEO IS HIS VALUES NOT WHAT USED TO BE.
genuinely.. who the hell could ever regret pulling the best shielder/debuffer/buffer in the game? No units can do what he does. Give him a full HP petra, and he can buff you, give you shield/knowback immunity, AND debuff the enemy at the same time, plus , if you have very good artifact he can also do pretty decent damage EVEN when built full hp, as long as you have some crit/damage.
I never regret pulling Zhongli. And I have him at C2. Bring him to every abyss run and he is a permanent member in my exploration and artifact farming team. Love Zhongli. Definitely worth my primos.

Zhongli as of now has lost playtime in most of my teams that included him previously. Itto team, Furina replaced Zhongli. Xiao team, well it's been a long time that Zhongli was replaced. It's now FFXX team. I think the only teams that he still gets use is my Hu Tao team because of how strong the shield I need for Hu Tao is. But honestly I think Zhongli as of now is easily skippable. The 20% res shred also doesn't seem to cut it anymore for buff. Heard there's an upcoming shielder, who knows if they're better.

I dont regret Zhongli. If i need a shielder, he’s my go to. extremely reliable. there’s one thing i really dislike about him. when you do Hold E for his shield, my gad it takes so long. that animation is so slow.
I just hit AR 45 and ascended the world level. Yeah, I'm not going to regret Zhongli after another round of world bosses today. My damage is fine. Just saying.

There is no world where a con is better than a new character, especially one as powerful as Zhong Li, don't listen to these clowns, Zhong Li is still one of the most used characters EVER in the Abyss despite him being one of the oldest characters in the game
Nope she received nerfs in beta so she’s not as strong anymore. Plus she’s highly dependent on xilonen or other natlan characters on her team which if you don’t have you are cooked.
I don't.. he has a great shield, and I can use him in a lot of teams, even being c0.. on the other hand, I kinda regret neuvillette.. he's c0r1, but he does from 1/2 to 3/4 the damage my mualani is doing.. neuvi does ~25k-35k x10; mualani does 450k-800k in the first hit, and it goes down to ~300k-450k in the last attacks.. worst case scenario, neuvi is doing ~10k, while mualani does ~89k.. my neuvi team (zhongli, neuvi c0r1, xilonen c2r1, furina c0r1) was taking 5 minutes to kill both arlecchino's phases.. while my mualani team (dehya c1, xilonen c2r1, mualani c2r1, sigewinne) is killing her in under two minutes.. actually, this mualani team is killing every weekly boss in under two minutes.. the only exception is the shogun (it takes 3-4 min), but I think it's skill issue on my part.. and it's not even its final form, bc mavuika will take dehya's place.. and before you ask, all of them are exceptionally well-built, having 0-def artifacts (except xilonen, she's full on def) and the correct sets.. but still, neuvi is not reaching my expectations..

What? dude. C2 mualani vs c0 Neuvillette? You're depriving Neuvillette of 2 constellations and the vape reaction bonus that frees up when not needing a shielder like Zhongli. I dunno man, people can have favorites, but don't make comparisons on damage numbers when you're giving one a significant boost. C1 Mualani buffs her first attack, so that first hit damage of possible 800k goes in the trash. Also, I only get 2 sharky bites before running out of phlogiston with c0 Mualani, because her animations eat up soo much time. If you're getting more than that because of her c2. Those extra damage numbers go in the garbage as well. Soooooo... if you *really* want to compare the numbers on them... play Mualani with the same supports as Neuvillette, take her second attack number and times it by two. That would be a pseudo mimic what Mualani would do if you took away the bonuses you're giving to her and depriving Neuvillette because he's not c2. I'm sure the difference between them isn't going to be much as you're trying to imply.

@@lulufortytwo3884 yes, I can compare.. swapping teams, neuvi does the same thing, while mualani performs worse due to the lack of pyro to vape her hits.. and if you are so interested in the previous numbers: mualani c0 was doing 300k-450k, then she went down to ~40k-60k for solo hit, out of vape.. her team back then was dehya c0, kachina c3, mualani c0, sigewinne c0.. after becoming c2r1, she was doing ~400k-550k.. now, with xilonen c2r1, she does her 450k-800k.. while neuvi, even if I swap zhongli for kazuha, for a kazuha c0r1, xilonen c2r1, neuvi c0r1, furina c0r1, he won't do anywhere near the amount of damage she does, in the same time window.. but as I stated, for me (aka I, myself, the person writing this) he is not reaching the expectations, and I kinda regret pulling for him.. but if he works for you, it's ok.. you have the rights to like or dislike xyz character.. although, I don't dislike him, I dislike his mid damage..
I like Zhongli’s gameplay, I just hope that someday Hoyo removes the dumb “geo construct world cap” and buff its damage a bit for Zhongli. You can all argue all u want but crystallize reactions are the most boring of all the reactions. I’d rather see mobs wiped with anemo than see an elemental shield forming around me. Make geo into the “tower defense”element and you got me hooked. But until then, geo will continue to be my least used element
@ it barely provides any defensive benefit too. Regardless it doesn’t stop it from being a boring reaction. Cryo causes freeze and a few other reactions as well but geo only causes crystallize. And in all honesty, I rather freeze enemies in place than have a shield protecting me from 1-3 hits. The only time when crystallize becomes fun to play as is when it’s used or absorbed in such a way that buffs a skill or damage output of said skill.
I cannot regret Zhongli, because I got him back in 1.1. 😂

@@Modedell mualani is the only new dps that I think might have that problem, chasca flies up in the air and kinich has thoma which is a better option

Well hes not the best at 2/3 of those things, I explained why petra may seem good but its really not.
Calling zhongli the best buffer when Furina exists is mega copium, and as for debuffer, xilonen and literally any anemo with vv debuffs better

Zhongli is for comfort. For newplayers like me he's very good. But still saving for mavuika and citlali, cause i don't have a hypercarry dps

the 20% can be good if youre fighting a high res enemy and are using Xilonen so his 20% wouldnt get cut in half and it would be 56%
