I totally agree with you. I just happened across this song 🎧 and now I always listen to it at least once in the morning and then once again before I go to sleep. And sometimes more than that. I may start calling my radio station and request it .

I am commenting on this three years later but I saw him recently on the "Slave to the Grind" 30th anniversary tour. I wanted to marry this man in the late 80s! He still has the voice, looks and enjoys performing so much he cannot help but smile. Loved every minute.
When By your side came out I thought Baz had created his all time greatest ballad,then Battle with the bottle came & has quickly grown to be my favorite of his ballads. I can'[t wait to see Baz live again & hope this song is on every set list along with By your side. Amazing song,Amazing Singer. Baz you are a true artist.
