Things i've learned from Legend to save my own disaster battles. Always try to be the aggressor, change the pace of battle to favor you, take out key targets, focus on their weakness not just your own strengths, don't get lazy with forced march, make sure to check equipment before battles, a mage can make life much easier, tactical losses can still be victory depending on the end result, double check line of sight, don't get stuck on 1 strategy always be ready to pivot, the list goes on and still grows :) Thanks for all the help Legend!
@@quint3ssent1a Having *any* wizard is still better than no wizard. Even in the worst case scenario, thats WoM youre not using at all. Just starting-tier magic like Melkoth's Miasma and Spirit Leech can also add up over a longer battle. Quintessential knowledge for pvp, too. You wont see a single build in any of the mp modes without a wizard, unless its dwarfs, khorne or someone *really* eccentric.

i'm sure they were atleast in the past or this is just another oversight from CA after some patch. I don't think Elemental Bears were ever OP or something.
@@Nikolas5842 Elemental Bears were Unbreakable in the past, but they were made Constructs along with Incarnate Elemental of Beasts, Terracotta Sentinels, and several other units in a recent patch.
Kislev, or at least Boris, has no aversion to Chaos Dwarfs for some reason. AI still usually ends up in war, but you can cozy up to them, especially if you take out Archaon early. The question is, why would you.
@@greenlockus2903 I mean sure, but your other friends will never like Chorfs. And what do they have you dont have? Artillery, but you can also get that from Empire and Dwarfs.
It's Boris. If you don't manage to confed one of the major 3 Kislev settlements or reconquer them, your income is pretty bloody bad. Though by turn 60-80 he should at least have made a play for Praag. He really needs a real faction mechanic *BADLY*.
I think using the War Bear Rider RoR a bit during the early skirmish from the start could have been helpful. They are usually pretty good at cycle charging through infantry, and they are deadly to large targets. The other single entities could have tanked while the RoR kept cycling. Obviously he managed without, but just my 2 cents.
So can someone please explain to me what the specifics are to not activate the enemy army? What can you do with lords / heroes and unhidden units and what can you not do?
Hard to always know exactly but the surest way to activate them is to hit them with spells. It's useful if you want them to rush you ahead of reinforcements. Another one is if the AI feels that they have range superiority. As long as they have artillery and you don't they'll prefer to hang back around their artillery-even if you arent in range. Both of these also generally depend on the AI defending. If they launched the attack they are much more likely to just move forward at the start
PWM [cleric...Sire you have a bad case of posin wind mortar] Blob mob target in range yes yes.. unleash warp hell? wait its the Bear gods avatar on earth.. hum.. Many maps could help clear lines and range to targets favour the artillery.
This game suffers from how bad the AI is. Even on max difficulty it's kind of a joke in how you can cheese battles in a way that would never work against an actual player.
I do laugh at how this whole video was a protracted excuse to throw jabs and hooks to both bears AND snide commenters...also, that the Skaven threw the allied WoC units as fodder 1st...have you had traumatic bear-related experiences in your life? Very on-brand for both Legend AND Skaven

napoleonic warfare be like (except the mages)
Nar just need a mage 😂😂
I use Forced March only as long as i´m in my own territory, never outside. Works well.
not only useful in Total War games, but also in other games and situations
No wizards, no bear riders, no ice guard, Clan Moulder is still alive at turn 113, and an alliance with Astragoth?! WTF is this campaign?
Boris with only one War Bear cav in his army is WILD, especially this late in the campaign.
Level 48 no Wizard in the army is a true disaster 🤔
Boris's army can work well without wizards, but the fact that he only has 1 bear cav is the true disaster
Eeeehhh kislev wizards aren't the best, they're okay but they won't win you battle on their own, like some other wizards can.

Kinda. A bit more like ironhail gunners I'd say cause they're not quite as innacurate as blunderbussies.
