i love how no one, i repeat NO ONE ever questions how ridiculously poetic and absurd the lines in the show are,,, people are literally speaking in shakespearien and everyone’s like yeah alright i totally get that
I think the actors do a great job when delivering their lines. Really believable in a strange way. If you give the exact same line to a mediocre actor, it would be laughable
"Human emotions are a gift from our animal ancestors. Cruelty is a gift humanity has given itself." "You might want to crawl back in there if you know what's good for you." "Occasionally I drop a teacup to shatter on the floor, on purpose. I'm not satisfied when it doesn't gather itself up again. Someday, perhaps a cup will come together." and "I love your work!"
“The grunts and poetry of life.” “You delight in wickedness then berate yourself the delight” He was so brokenhearted it killed me “You forgive like god forgives”
“there is no advantage it’s all degrees of disadvantage”, “extreme acts of cruelty require a high degree of empathy”, hannibal talking about Achilles and Patroclus and “ That is all I ever wanted for you will, for both of us.- it’s beautiful” and will being sassy in general
'Killing must feel good to God too, he does it all the time . And are we not created in his image'? Bruh... That hit me hard because Hannibal is right. If you look in the bible at exodus you'll see that this was the eighth commandment ; "Thou shall not kill" And ironically if you look in the bible, God ordered his messengers or warriors to kill a lot of kings and people back then! Honestly, I hadn't seen Hannibal yet, but damn! this show seems to be the most logical, emotional and accurate show I've ever come across.
Well I do understand the Christian morality as when god says this. In Hinduism it was quite literally opposite when in war the warrior prince was in a dread not to kill his own family (although his family was corrupt and wanted to seize all the property and throw away the protagonist) . Lord krishna said "it's your duty to fight the war because you're a warrior hence you must fulfill it. And that's the only way to justice. He influenced warrior prince Arjun to take the step and kill if it is means to achieve peace for greater good. And if not, then Krishna himself will eradicate everyone in the battlefield including the good side because they abandoned their own duty thinking about family values and completely disregarding the justice and accepting evil upon themselves. That's how it goes. Seems like there's a big difference between both religious values.
Hannibal: "God's terrific. He dropped a church roof on 34 of his worshippers, last Wednesday night in Texas, while they sang a hymn." Will: "Did God feel good about that?" Hanni: "He felt powerful."
The eat the rude quote is great. And I love Will's "I won't kill you Doctor Lecter, not now that I find you interesting." Or Hannibal's "where you can always find me."
Best of all "One of the most powerful forces that shapes us as a human being is a desire to leave legacy" If someone knows the actual episode do mention Ty
"I awoke in the fresh-smelling semidark, knowing in some primal way that I was near the sea. Day and evening again, the smell of fresh flowers and the vague awareness of a needle bleeding into me. He never called me my name. That was strange at first. And then it wasn't strange. And then, my name was Lydia Fell. Deeply felt truths about myself as Bedelia Du Maurier were smoke and mirrors of the highest order. What we take for granted about our sense of self, everything we see, everything we remember, is nothing more than a construct of the mind. Dante was the first to conceive of Hell as a planned space, an urban environment. Before Dante, we spoke not of the gates of Hell, but of the mouth of Hell. My journey to damnation began when I was swallowed by the beast. " -Dr. Bedelia Du Maurier (3×10) All from memory so please forgive any mistake lmao
Also, we can't forget: "Is Hannibal...in love with me?" "Could he, daily, feel a stab of hunger for you, and find nourishment at the very sight of you? Yes. But, do you ache for him?" Will Graham and Bedelia (3×12) 😭😭😭
Nicely rendered montage of verbal gems, but I need to make a correction on the typing of one, which should be: "Without death, we'd be at a loss. It's the prospect of death that drives us to greatness."
"Every human being the basic responsibility for his life which it cant pass to others" . Beledia to Hannibal. Can anybody tell me which scene or episode was this!
i love how no one, i repeat NO ONE ever questions how ridiculously poetic and absurd the lines in the show are,,, people are literally speaking in shakespearien and everyone’s like yeah alright i totally get that

😂true
I for one came for the poetry
I mean, they're all pretty intelligent.
“I forgive you, Will.” *flips it around* “Will you forgive me?”
“USE THE LADIES ROOM”
-Jack
Great quotes. Personally, I loved the final quote of the serie:
"See, this is all I ever wanted for us Will"
"It's beautiful"
nicolò furlan Hannibal's "For both of us" was more of an admition of love than "I love you" is for most people.
"The tragedy is not to die, but to be wasted"
"Human emotions are a gift from our animal ancestors. Cruelty is a gift humanity has given itself."
"You might want to crawl back in there if you know what's good for you."
"Occasionally I drop a teacup to shatter on the floor, on purpose. I'm not satisfied when it doesn't gather itself up again. Someday, perhaps a cup will come together."
and
"I love your work!"
Oh yes these are good ones too ❤️❤️ I miss this on Netflix
I need every quote in this world we live in to be voiced by Mads ugh
Either him or Prince because let's face it
"You can make it all go away. Put your head back. Close your eyes. Wade into the quiet of the stream"
my fav: "i see myself inside will" ;))
Why is our fandom, collectively, like this
You have me deadddddd 💀💀💀
HOW did that get past the NBC guidelines??? lol it’s such a read 😂
😆😆 no puns . Sorry not sorry
I love the triple meaning: mind, gay sex and digestion xD
I think we’re all forgetting the best one
“I enjoy the smell of urinal cake” ~Will Graham. True poetry 😌
"USE THE LADIES ROOM"
- ♡Jack Crawford♡
"Achilles wished all Greeks would die, so that he and Patroclus could conquer Troy alone. Took divine intervention to bring them down"
Best quote honestly
“The grunts and poetry of life.”
“You delight in wickedness then berate yourself the delight”
He was so brokenhearted it killed me
“You forgive like god forgives”
"You dropped your forgiveness, Will. You forgive how God forgives." 😭😭😭
If I saw every day forever Will, I would remember this time
YHHHHH
Mine? Before you and after you. Yours? It’s all starting to blur
"Pain is a good thing... scar tissue is an awesome demonstration of self-preservation."
"Traditionally, during this meal, we are to place shrouds over our heads, hiding our faces from god.
I don't hide from god."
"Whenever feasable, one must always try to eat the rude".
Crawford: what kind of fish is this?
Hannibal: he was a flounder.
:)
“Did you just smell me?”
Gold 😆😆❤️
'Difficult to avoid'
“They know”
Nice
My favorite quote from Hannibal is “We are maintaining our position at the event horizon of chaos.”
When life becomes maddening polite, think about me
Freaking love this quote
“there is no advantage it’s all degrees of disadvantage”, “extreme acts of cruelty require a high degree of empathy”, hannibal talking about Achilles and Patroclus and “ That is all I ever wanted for you will, for both of us.- it’s beautiful” and will being sassy in general
"We can twist ourselves into all manners of uncomfortable positions, just to maintain appearances."
"The blood was from a cow, only in a derogatory sense." 🤣🤣🤣🤣
"Discourtesy is unspeakably ugly to me."
"Ethic, in time becomes the Aesthetic"
“Expressing that love, our beloved’s potential comes true”
" Love and Potential " It's just beautiful
'Killing must feel good to God too, he does it all the time . And are we not created in his image'?
Bruh... That hit me hard because Hannibal is right.

Hopefully in the future you can say the same things about a tv show, which is about love, not destruction
I forget which episode this line is from I’d love to use it as a monologue
That line seems to me accurate for the Hannibal psychology, to understand him. However, I do not find it worth admiring
The real translation is “thou shall not murder”, there’s a distinction that must be made. At worst, it’s a lexical ambiguity.

Geez hannibal is actually a poet lol
“Where does the difference between the past and the future come from?”
“Mine? Before you and after you.”
"Fate and circumstance have returned us to this moment. When the teacup shatters, I forgive you Will. Will you forgive me?"
Hannibal: "God's terrific. He dropped a church roof on 34 of his worshippers, last Wednesday night in Texas, while they sang a hymn."
Will: "Did God feel good about that?"
Hanni: "He felt powerful."
The Mongoose I want under the house when the snakes slither by!
The eat the rude quote is great. And I love Will's "I won't kill you Doctor Lecter, not now that I find you interesting." Or Hannibal's "where you can always find me."
"This soup doesn't taste very good." Lol
Best of all "One of the most powerful forces that shapes us as a human being is a desire to leave legacy"
If someone knows the actual episode do mention Ty
These are great...but missing the entire scene in Mizumono
“Only if you eat me”
Let’s not forget this masterpiece alternate take:
“I KNOW… WHEN I’M… AWAKE!!”
It's the prospect to death that brought us to greatness.
Love and death are the great hinges in which all human sympathy turns
"Ortolans are endangered"
"Who amongst us is not?"
"I awoke in the fresh-smelling semidark, knowing in some primal way that I was near the sea. Day and evening again, the smell of fresh flowers and the vague awareness of a needle bleeding into me. 'If I saw you everyday forever, Will. I would remember this time'.
john kramer (jig saw): finally a worthy opponent, OUR TALK WILL BE LEGENDARY
"Mic drop."
that made me laugh
Nicely rendered montage of verbal gems, but I need to make a correction on the typing of one, which should be: "Without death, we'd be at a loss. It's the prospect of death that drives us to greatness."
Thank you for the correction bro!
"Why do you think I'm allowing this?"
*_"Our emotions are a gift from our animal ancestors. Cruelty is Man's gift to himself."_*
He is so smart
will: Mine? Before you and after you.
The last one...got me...
