Wow!! Thank you for making this video. My wife and I are new to this process, and these are EXCELLENT points to note/ask adoption professionals!! This has really helped us understand who we should talk with and what we should ask people. Awesome video!!
Hi William 👋🏿, congratulations on your new and exciting journey 😀. I'm happy you found this video helpful. It can be extremely overwhelming when interviewing different professionals so keeping good notes and having a list of questions prepared can be extremely helpful. Thank you for watching and supporting my channel!
That's great Lindsay!! Call some consultants also, they seem to be doing really good these day. Ask a lot of questions, write everything down, do your research and follow your gut. Thank you so much for watching and supporting my channel ❤ please subscribe if you haven't already 😊
@@lindsaylinton7442 you will definitely be shown to more EM because they normally work with a few agencies however understanding their TOTAL pricing structure can be a tad confusing. Be very specific when asking about that. Their fee plus agency fees plus required BM expenses (general total cost). They normally tell you their cost which is very inexpensive, however that is a small fraction of the total cost. It's normally the same as a major agency. But like I mentioned, from what I see, some consultants are matching at a high rate rightnow.
Hi Stephanie. Me too... There's so much I wish I knew before we started our adoption journey. Thats exactly why I started this channel. Glad it was helpful! Thank you so much for watching and supporting channel. Please subscribe for new and informative weekly videos!
I appreciate you doing these! We're a military family in NC now and doing the foster to adopt option. Classes are now self paced online. So excited to begin this journey.
Hey Military Spouse sister!!! That's great, good luck with your classes and hopefully you get a good match soon after🤞🏾🤞🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾. Please subscribe for my weekly videos!!! Thank you so much for watching and supporting
I am in NC as well. Do you mind sharing which agency you are going thru to foster to adopt? I would really like to do the classes online since it would work better for my husband and I. He works a swing shift.
@@crystalsturdivant269 CHS Children's home society of NC . I filled out the forms onlime. It's $20 each for the background check and the classes will be online. Once the background check is complete, hopefully we will be able to begin the classes soon.
The agency in CALIFORNIA ANLC are so expensive but they have 5k refunds. No experation contract. Were not in the same state but they said they can find us 1 and they provide attorney, home study, etc, etc. As far as attorney we wouldn't know who to talk to since we don't know where birth mother will be.they also provide birth moms attorney that were paying for it. BTW WE STILL HAVEN'T MADE ANY DECISIONS YET ON THIS COMPANY
Thank you so much for all of your advice! I wish I could use a national agency but none of them work with couples from NY. I feel like this is never going to happen because our options are so limited. The agency in our area has 0 couples that look like us on their website and that is making me nervous too!
You're welcome!!! Have you spoken with Angel Adoption Inc? Or have you tried a matching attorney? Just stay positive, Adoption professional or not, if you are home study approved and remain consistent in the adoption groups and on your personal social media platforms YOUR BABY WILL COME!! You have to believe that💗. Thank you so much for watching and if you haven't already please subscribe 😊
@@KhandyBryant I’m sorry, you did say that. I am just starting the research process. I’m planning on starting the home study in May so that I can be available for a placement by August. I am debating on a local vs national agency. I’m just not sure yet. I’ve been researching Lifetime Adoptions and The Barker Foundation, have you heard of either of those?

I once again want to add, ask your consultant if they will advertise you and not their company. We lucked out with our lawyer Larry Jenkins in Utah.
Awesome point, thank you Eden for your consistent support!!
Looks like you have your weekly show.
Great job on the dedication in helping others.
It feels amazing to help others through their adoption journey. It's definitely my passion!

For our first adoption we used Angel Adoption Inc
@@KhandyBryant Are you using them for the second?
