Hey TMV, just wanted to say you seem like such a nice and genuine person. I really appreciate what you do for the valorant community in the content you put out, appearances on plat chat, co streams etc. I’ve been a recurring viewer for multiple years now and something that makes me extremely happy is that on some days when I just don’t know what to do or am not in the mood for anything I can check TH-cam and just watch a video of yours. Thanks for the creativity & consistency. Thanks for who you are and what you do.

i'm actually curious why u think that yoru needs a comp built around him because in my eyes, he has synergy with... pretty much every other agent, at least in the meta
i mean for controllers, between omen and astra u either get paranoia or cosmic divide synergy; he also pairs well with viper's smokes being able to pop flash thru, and has more excuses than most agents to buy a shotgun (when he has ult), which can work great in a round where the plan is to take a site with yoru and viper ult
for recon initiators, between sova and fade u get either recon dart and hunter's fury or fade tether, ult, and dog synergy
for flash initiators, w/ gekko there's double flash w/ dizzy and double ult w/ thrash; w/ breach there's yoru ult + faultline. ig he doesn't have synergy with kayo and skye somewhat tho
also him being an *entry duelist* with *pop flashes* simultaneously, he can sometimes open up an extra slot in ur comp for an extra pick like deadlock or iso or what have you
actually agree on this a lot, having an unbreakable drone that can complement almost any ult in the game or be very lethal with pretty much any other util being thrown at someone is quite valuable. where i see the problem is no ult and the double smokes vision he has not really allowing a second duelist. in that sense you would have to sac some component of your original comp to achieve good results with yoru.
@@leandervandegriend2347 let's also remember it is *7 ult points* on a *duelist*, not to mention the duelist in question is really good at farming tons of kills on entries and trap plays with flash. plus, bc the kills u do get from ulting are w/ ur weapon after the ult instead of due to/during the ult (like viper, brim, raze, etc), the ult is effectively 6 points if u get a kill after ulting, which is very often if u're good
as for the double duelist problem, idk many successful double duelist comps w/o yoru tbh (i'm remembering geng's breeze or fnc's haven), so i would argue he's actually expanding ur comp options rather than limiting them. plus most double duelist comps r run on maps that don't require a senti, so there's not much to rly sacrifice by going no-senti
Optimized > synergy
The pop flash is still easy to dodge, especially at t1. You can see clips with a lot going on and still manage to kill the Yoru.
The TP isn't as good as the dash, slide and satchel. So you have to help the TP by building around the TP.
Yoru is like Gekko in a way. Jack of all trades, but not a specialist.
Also more flashes does not equal good comp. Take a look at Ascent, you only have two flashes but they have so much value.

@@shulleon582 the pop flash is dodgeable when thrown poorly. yoru mains have multiple setups to get perfect pop flashes that are undodgeable by eye, and ppl just don't have the muscle memory yet to dodge it by the flash's sounds consistently (eggsterr vods against leaderboard ranked demons prove this)
the tp isn't as adaptable as dash, slide, or satchel yes. however, it's also got infinite range, which means not only can he get out of areas remote enough that dash or satchels can't, but he can also effectively awp both sides of the map simultaneously, and has the best lurk game out of any duelist. it also works really well with his ult, letting him get into no man's land, shotgun someone, grab their gun, and tp away to the other side of the map because surprise that ult was part of a fake
and u're right that more flashes don't equal a good comp. that's why he's often run as a replacement for hard flashes to make room for other agents. while ascent is like bottom 3 of yoru's maps imo, thru him it's also possible to replace kay/o without sacrificing pop flashes. and on a map where gekko particularly is meta, combining dizzy and yoru flash basically forces u to either tuck, get flashed, or show u should've gone pro in osu instead
I've had the opinion that every agent should have some form of refreshable utility, and I think that's a big thing holding back agents like Sage or Brim. Removing Skye's refreshes was also a mistake imo, and I would've liked to see a different nerf
make her heal recharge or make it 1 recharge flash then. sage has regenable util in heal but yeah its dogshit. putting slorb or wall on a cd doesnt make too much sense either though. brim could use some form of regarchable smoke but the problem is that kindnof breaks his identity in a way because hed either have super op regen smokes and 3 or hed be similar to omen/clove in having 2 smokes but then really he is just a worse option
Skye dog should recharge and flashes should stay at 2 charges
I'm not arguing for Clove S-tier or A-tier, but smoking after death is super underrated. I think it is somewhat comparable to Gekko wingman plant, where there is value to be gained outside of what an agent can do while alive/shooting in Gekko's case. Obviously being alive on a better controller like Astra or Omen is better, but the rest of Clove's kit enables them to play aggressively like a duelist, even settling for a 1 for 1 trade because Clove still has value after dying. None of the other controllers are compensated for being aggressive, the closest is Omen who has utility that can directly enable him to be aggressive. I expect to see some duelist nerfs for Neon coming soon, it might be time to FPX this meta and do triple smokes.
SISU in Pacific GC brought Vyse to Lotus (1W) and Bind (1W 1L), I think you should take a look at that and break down what worked and what didn't work on those games
I don't know if it's just me, but Deadlock sounds more "right" to be at the end of B tier.
Out of nowhere, I see a lot of people playing Deadlock well, because VCT probably influenced these people, including me, and it actually turned out well. And with these Cypher nerfs, I believe we will finally have more spotlight for her. On console, she seems to be a lot of people's favorite too. I mean, she is more cool to play with it and the ultimate is quite satisfactory (if you don't miss it) imo
If there was a tier between C and B, I would put it there I think lol.
I kinda agree with iso, if you want to play iso play it with yoru, yoru cover up a lot of iso weaknesses, and if iso can thrive, the low-cost ult will basically snowball you to winning the game.
wait could you elaborate on how yoru complements iso? are you talking abt getting on site with tp/flashes?
@@leandervandegriend2347 Yeah, Yoru is a duelist-initiator (entry and flash util), he can cover up at least 2 roles in your comp, and Iso can fill out the pure duelist fragging capability of the comp that Yoru doesn't have, with this combo, you also play iso for the ult just like pheonix meta back in the day, match in heaven basically.
@@loslobo_ yeah but yoru entry is quite difficult to achieve against pros since its campable and needs a godflash or pray pros dont turn for the time you are grabbing your weapon
One thing not talked about astra is how expensive she is. You dont know this explicitly unless you play her. I don't think she belongs in A. Her value is dwarfed by omen.
How is she expensive? Her util costs 600 which is the exact same as omen
I think with yoru the comp doesn't matter as much as we think. I think the time for mastery is just higher than any pro has invested yet. I'd like to see Eggsterr sub in for someone, I think we'd be surprised how little the comp matters

Obviously I'm not a pro player, but as someone who plays breach A LOT in a team environment, it's kinda shocking that Breach's winrate and stats are so low. I find that he's probably the single best flex option because of how many options it gives you.
One of the biggest differentiating factors is surely that pro's can turn breach flashes. People at my level are not turning them pretty much ever
I think the issue I've seen people cite is that it's too predictable... On defence you know that the breach is holding his stun out to do a trap play, and that kinda hamstrings you a bit.
On attack it's obviously very powerful but compare the impact of a breach stun to a sova dart or a kayo knife and it just pales in comparison in pro play. It's not nearly as versatile, and you can still just get shot in the head

Kajaak can easily flex as a yoru since he is already a high tier duelist. And if he can fill out the sentinel role better than Alfa then Fnatic will be pretty scary.

I think to put clove in D-tier is a cringest move in this video. Clove is meta, smoke after death is absolutely crazy. At least she deserve A-tier.
And to put the best meta-duelist neon in A-tier is strange too.
