    Questions of the day:
Do you like the Video/Audio quality any better?
Would you rather have longer segments (25 mins+) or break those into two shorter segments?

As a person who is obsessed with details and a perfectionist I think I would enjoy an overly detailed description of each parts of the shot cycle.

If the content deserves 25 min I would rather see it in 1 video. One thing that would help on longer videos is put a list of highlights and time stamps in the description. Thanks again for the content very helpful for barebow

Definately looking sharp. Sound I'd fiddle with the settings a little - I think it is filtering the low end - for a chest mounted mic it should sound more full but maybe its my end here. The level and noisefloor is a bit variable take to take. Sounds better regardless though!
Could try the dji mobile 3 with your iphone - has a handy tripod fixture too. For exterior shots it makes a very stable and easy to operate camera out of your phone plus you can set it to track you moving around. Nice intro btw ^^

Good content trumps mic quality. That said, the lapel mic was the best purchase I made. It was a game-changer. You're fortunate in that your recording space already has decent acoustics for what you're doing, but I'm in my yard or out on the range, and the lapel mic bumped my quality to the next level. As for length - 15-20 minutes is about right for a digestible video (speaking from experience). I tend to break video topics down based on how I would approach teaching someone in person. Certain things go together well; others need more detail and stand alone.

Thank you again Jake!! Your channel is a Gold mine! We can feel that you still have so much to share, if you shorten the videos you will have so many to sort on your channel... Also maybe have a thought about renaming your videos with an alphanumeric system (Chapter1 - Part2, etc...). It will help anyone who start following you to understand where to start ;-). The back camera and microphone work great! Maybe a Bluetooth microphone in your ear would be more practical ;-)

Thanks Jake for your series. It is very unique and for me the “First to Go” location on my archery journey. I like the combination of little imperfection in production vs. the high professional content. And your ability/confidence to explain, founded of a hell of practical experience. Also like the new intro sequence.
I would prefer single topic junks of videos as I can easier find what I’m looking for. 15 to 20 min is perfect as I can watch while commute to work or have a short break.

My daughter is 9 and she has been shooting Olympic Recurve with a coach since she was 8. I would love to see some videos on what practice routines / tips / tricks you recommend for young archers. For example, what “practice” would you recommend when it’s to cold / dark / wet to go in your backyard and shoot. Anyways, great channel. Keep it up. 👍👍

Jake, the info is excellent and easy to digest. The audio/video is clear with or without the mic... the mic of course is louder, but don’t lose sleep over it. As for length, I think that should depend on your feeling about the complexity of each topic. The entire series has been great, and considering your background in the sport, is very much appreciated by all your subscribers. Thanks!

2x15min vs 1x30min I guess for us viewers it doesn't matter as we will watch every single minute anyway :D Having one video that is handling one particular chapter is maybe easier to reference later. But I suggest you analyze what format can benefit you most in regards to advertisement revenue, search results placement, youtube rating, etc... I don't mind having a video of any length when it is concise, well explained, and to the point. Playlists you created are vital when consuming the content in optimal order. Cheers and may the Force be with you! :D

Hi Jake, thanks for the awesome videos. I really appreciate the technical breakdown and explanations; it’s been really helpful. The sound and video are great. I watch through my headphones in my noisy gym and it’s fine.
In terms of video length, I would prefer shorter separate videos because there is so much information to absorb and practice that’s it would be easier for a beginner like me to digest a smaller quantity at a time. Thanks.
    Keep up the great work!

Hi Jake. About the video/quality, for me it's good enough. No need to create "heavy" videos. In relation to the duration of the videos, I think that would be better the videos not be longer than 10-12 minutes. Sometimes, the details are so important that the videos became very long. So, in my opinion, you could divide the subject in two videos.

As always great explanation.. as a barebow shooter with anchor on my tooth I got bad elbow tension two years ago- still suffering really bad.. I watched your video you made with your wife last week about injuries and you told you had the same injury from pulling to much with triceps from time to time. I can see I have been pulling all wrong for years. if I try pulling more with my back as you show in this video I will come back way below my anchor? Is that okay? Or what do you suggest? I know you have a pretty low anchor now you are shooting barebow but I guess you still can see the issue of pulling with the back and then have to raise to a high anchor somewhere in the face. Maybe something to make a video about some day😊 sorry for the spelling, I’m from Denmark 🇩🇰 😊

You've discussed a lot of details about the draw arm, but could you give a little more detail about the bow arm during the shot cycle? In particular, rotation of the elbow and keeping the shoulder down while maintaining correct posture? These are a couple things that seem to plague me...my shoulder always wants to come up and roll forward for some reason...

Hi Jake. Huge thanks for the form series. Great depth of info on the subtleties of archery. I shoot barebow and wondered how this method would translate to a higher anchor? Would you advise still loading a half inch below a higher anchor or load lower to better engage back tension and travel more distance up to anchor? Thanks.

You'll need somewhere around a 650 spine arrow give or take. Small diameter arrows come in many different price brackets so I cant recommend an individual arrow, but the 650 spine will be close unless you go with an X10 arrow or ACE arrow then somewhere around 600-650 spine area.

Jake put on a set of head phones and turn the volume up so you can hear yourself really good at :40 sec into the video . Now back the video up and start from the beginning and don't adjust the volume at all . Did you damage your ears when you reached :23 sec into the video ? In the future if you are going to include music for God sake keep the volume levels the same as your speaking volume or you are going to damage a lot of peoples ears and cause speaker damage . Its also a pain in the ass to keep having to adjust the volume level .
