Very interesting episode. I’d especially liked hearing encompassing yourself into a grove/nature to help minimise depression and anxiety. Whether you live in the city or countryside. Blessings to you from Outback Australia

Thanks again Michael.....It is nice to connect online...Since Covid I have been spending too much time indoors, But thinking about Druids inspires me to get out and explore more. I love imagining druids each exploring inner and outer landscapes in different parts of the world. My roomate and I have been planting a Native Hawaiian garden which has a wildness about it, and we keep repairing the fence to keep the pigs from getting in. We donʼt have wolves or foxes but we do have pigs and chickens which come in and make a mess of things. I love your videos because it is like being with interesting friends I can relate to. My first connection with druidry was Phillip Carr-Gommʼs fantastic Druid Animal Oracle. By the way I am half Jewish too while my Dads side is Welsh Scottish English Irish.

Hi Michael, I really enjoyed this chat. Bought a couple of the books mentioned 😊
I'm also waiting for the introductory taster to OBOD to arrive.
Its never too late to start. I'm 62.
p.s. Scott Scheper gave me your details 😉

      Hi Lawrebel!
I am glad that you enjoyed my chat with Eimear Burke. She's fantastic!
Remember that this is your path. Read and learn as much as you can, but take what resonates with you and leave the rest. Each of us has our own path. Absolutely, it is never too late to start! I started 9 months ago, and I just turned 50. When I started, I lamented that I didn't start years ago. But then I realized that me starting when I did was actually a part of my path.
Scott is a great guy! I was one of the original 3 people in his private client Neo Intellectual Institute. The Antinet is the way to go as long as you have patience and are willing to put in the effort to earn your knowledge and next-level ideas.

"A doorway into my own landscape," indeed! My story is similar. I love and admire the indigenous teachings of various Native American nations (especially the Anishinaabe), but my ancestry is 66% British Isles and 33% European. I did not want to culturally appropriate their teachings. I am so grateful for OBOD because it provides a spiritual path that honors my ancestry.

Neat, I’ve been thinking of finding out more about becoming a Druid. Can’t afford the OBOD course, but maybe I’ll check the local library

Keep in mind that there is a gold mine of free material on the OBOD website (druidry.org) without actually having to sign up for the course.

I love that people are talking about paganism/magic/alternative religion and mental health. I suffer from c-ptsd and while I'm not in the druid tradition I do something that's more similar to Renaissance magic, I can attest to the healing power of these practices. I made more progress in healing in the first 6 months of a daily practice than I made in nearly 6 years of talk therapy. I am so thankful to have discovered this path, it saved my life. I finally feel as though I'm coming into my own power and confronting what happened to me as a child. It is so empowering. I look forward to years from now when I'm seasoned enough to introduce more people to these other paths.

Thanks for your comment! I am glad you found your way toward healing. One of the reasons I am doing what I am is to show people there are other ways, be they alternative, old, or both. Too many people either need to be made aware of options other than the conventional or look down upon anything they don't know or understand.
