Mate this video must b one of your best tbh, the Raider as u said doesn't turn in properly but u have figured a way out to get it to turn in(driver skills 👍) also that madcat/astute thingy is a beast, actually looks quick on video,but when u got out the couger I knew it would rip everything else, they mite look basic but Schumacher's are pure race buggys out the box, they are also a pain in the a+se😂, I have a ProCat and it's quite a special buggy once u run it😊, excellent video mate 💯👌😊
Thanks Carl! The race classes are working really well this year and we are getting some very exciting times. The Raider control goes all the way back to 1991 and thrashing that buggy round my Dad’s lawn with a MSC. We couldn’t ever afford new tyres to grip became a real problem. You just adapted your driving style to suit. Old school RC 😁 The Madcap Hybrid is amazing and I thought it was away and clear this year but once the Cougar got going I was in love!! OR lap record too 😎🔥we are on to the 4WD buggies next after a little break for some Poor Boys speed running 😁

The Raider was surprisingly excellent on the OR, Craig. I think that nice suspension upgrade was a big help. Project HAM looked absolutely dialed, but twitchy as... The TQ lap was a thing of beauty! 👌👌👌

The Ultima has left business on the Orchard this season and I am sure it will be back. The Cougar though bud was incredible. You would love that build mate and it drives so well!

Absolutely more in it Glenn. I was cut short by that steering issue but it just came loose on me. All fixed and ready for another go in the OR finale. I am aiming for 5.5 with that now 😯🔥

Hey Mads, yep I cracked the Cougar code even if only for a few laps!! We are getting there with it and potential is very high. I think it is going to be hard to beat. I can assure you the next class is an absolute classic 👍🏻

Yeah, the Cougar is a beast when everything fall into place. To make it even more ferocious, the ball raced steering set is available again in an updated V2 (u8299) and quite cheap. And if you could get your hand on either a Losi JRX something or a Team Asso RC10, you could have 4 different brand for this class in 2025 😮 (but yeah, they cost a lot). Oh I forgot you will probably acquire the Super Astute in december 🤞 It's so interesting these time trials 👀👍🤝
Hey Gab! Yes the Super Astute is likely on the way. I would love to have some more 2WD buggies to mix things up but for the moment I have to make do with Tamiya and Kyosho models until I get lucky! The Cougar is cooking and I have a ball race steering set for the future. I picked one up at launch 😁😎
Ah, once again, the Ultima failed... Although it does seem to bounce way too much in the rear end (tune those shocks Craig!!!) Mine will chassis slap from about a 12 inch drop on a flat table but it don't bounce (box stock setting).... Now to the real part, the Cougar with a 5.90 WOW!!!! I bet you didn't see that coming..... Awesome video yet again dude!!!!!
Hey Bob, I think it needs some more oil in those rear shocks. There is so much potential in that Ultima but I was unable to get it going this year. The Cougar was a beast and I think there is more to be had there. I am hoping that the finale sees some more records tumble for the Cougar 🙌🏻
Cheers Lee. Already have a set ready to go on in the off season. It needs to make it through as it though because I am not risking taking that gearbox apart again just yet 😂🤣
@@theoagrc You shouldnt need to open the gearbox to replace the tower, just 4 screws onto the bulkhead. And the wing mount is so much better. I've never had any gearbox trouble with mine, although I've only ever ran 10.5t brushless through it.
@leekinsey5888 yeah I also have some stainless steel screws to replace too so as I pull it apart I am going to do that also. Now I have it all set up I am loving it. To start with I was unsure but now it might just be my favourite Rere

Buy the carbon rear tower from schumacher - it comes with a much better rear wing mount! (And its cheap)
