    Love your video. Just what I was looking for. But I can't seem to find where to get those metal switch covers.

      Thank you very much! You can find them in the video description, under "Switch knobs"

    Stupid question:
    What are the 6 triangle buttons for below the 'Radiomaster' logo on tx16s? (Maybe it's been asked, but I've never seen anything about them).
    Thanks!

    • @muteFPV
      @muteFPV  ปีที่แล้ว

      There is no such thing as a stupid question in this hobby :) You can use these 6 buttons for all sorts of uses (for example flight modes, servo positions etc), I remember that there are several guides available. Don't forget to press them one by one when calibrating the radio sticks and pots, so that the radio recognizes all 6 "positions" of this 6-button array! (it has been a while but, if I remember correctly, I have included this in my how-to-calibrate-properly guide for the TX16S)

      You can find all the parts I used in the video description. If you mean the switch knobs, they are from Hawk Creation.

    What's your price for the black gimbal protectors with crossbar mailed to Florida? I don't have a printer. Thanks

    • @muteFPV
      @muteFPV  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hello! I am not printing on demand and postage alone will cost you a lot more than having it printed locally. You can find my 3d prints in the video description and send them to a local shop or person (via marketplace for example).

  • @randallwatts9840
    @randallwatts9840 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    I just copy and pasted the description and it contained those words. I would like to get a hold of the side slider knobs - preferably red if possible, black as alternative.

    • @muteFPV
      @muteFPV  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      The creator of the original design says "proper center", not my design. You can have them 3D printed locally, I am sure you will find someone to do it for you. Send them the link of the thingiverse design or download the files.

    Wouldnt 21700's fit in the battery compartment? Or another li-ion thats longer to accomadate the extra space

    • @muteFPV
      @muteFPV  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes of course, Radiomaster's own battery pack is based on 21700 cells. I just happen to have a lot of 18650 cells for radios and goggles.

    Hello! What's the name of your switch nuts tool (model name)?

    • @muteFPV
      @muteFPV  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi! I don't remember which one I used in this video. If it is blue, it is a generic tool that came with some Realacc switch nuts. If it is a thin long black tool it is from Hawk Creation (my favorite). If it is very big and silver, it is a multi tool from FPVmodel. I hope this helps :) Check out my Favorite FPV tools video, I showed most of the tools I use in that one and it may give you useful ideas ;)

    I would like to know where I can find the second sticks as short as possible that you see in the video, not the hawks.

    • @muteFPV
      @muteFPV  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I haven't managed to find them again either. They must be "STP" brand but I cannot seem to find them in M4 size. For what it's worth, Hawk Creation's accessories are top quality and is all I use on all my radios. Their sticks came with 5 parts in total each (the 3 I used and 2 metal spacers) so you can achieve the exact length you want.

    How would I go about procuring your Radiomaster TX16S improved slider knob with proper center
    ? I could use RED or Black. Thanks

    • @muteFPV
      @muteFPV  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I am sorry but I don't understand the question. Do you mean the 3D printed sliders for the sides of the radio? What do you mean by "proper center"?

    It's too bad that us that live in the USA cannot find those HAWK TX metal Switch covers. I would love to get some for my TX16s but hong kong is too far away and waiting 3 to 5 months for shipment is not worth it.

    • @muteFPV

      They have awesome accessories and shipping doesn't take forever. I live in Greece so I am not close to them either. I wish more vendors carried their products...

      @@muteFPV wow! That was a quick reply to an old video! Other youtubers can take a lesson from you on replying to older videos. Fine job! From Greece? Awesome and your English writing is amazing. Yea I live in North Carolina, USA and I agree, I wish more US based vendors would stock up on everything that China, Japan, etc.. has in their warehouses. I have ordered many things from banggood some from their US warehouse in California and some overseas. The overseas orders took from 10 days to 2 to 3 months. Anyways thanks for your great videos and awesome work!

    • @muteFPV
      @muteFPV  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Being a small channel helps, I guess :P The people at HAWK Creation are pationate hobbyists and definitely deserve the support. I haven't found CNC stick knobs anywhere else so maybe place the order and forget it until they arrive :P You can order from their website or through their eBay store, I am pretty sure it is the same thing either way (I mean shipped from the same location).

      I know but I don't like them. They were released very recently and shipping is slow, this is probably why you haven't found videos for them yet.

    • @muteFPV
      @muteFPV  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      oh by the way, I am pretty sure Radiomaster has said that this LED mod voids the warranty (it requires soldering to power the LEDs). Just a heads up in case you are thinking of using them.

    • @HDTube101
      @HDTube101 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It is real but it is very thin and they put it on top of a rubber piece like the original.

    • @muteFPV
      @muteFPV  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@HDTube101 yep, that's true. I assume it was the easiest way to mount it on the radio. Just didn't know if it is real or not. Any tips on identifying fake leather from real?

    • @HDTube101
      @HDTube101 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@muteFPV Real leather is not smooth like plastic. If you look at real leather it will look grainy and wrinkled. If you give it the smell test it will smell like leather and not like plastic or a chemical. Untreated leather will also absorb a drop of water and not puddle up on top. I'm sure you don't want try this but if you hold a flame to real leather for 5 seconds or so, it will only char. Fake leather will catch the flame and start burning.

    Its a shame that TX16S has no dedicated TX stands still.

    • @muteFPV
      @muteFPV  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Sorry, I don't understand :) What do you mean exactly?

    • @FlowAerials
      @FlowAerials 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@muteFPV I mean that stands like on the ones for the X9D doesnt work good, because they dont have an end point. The handle is too wide for them. You have to modify them to work.

    • @muteFPV
      @muteFPV  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Ah ok now I understand what you mean :) I don't really miss the end-points, I usually make the stands narrower anyway and it just stays in place with friction. Is your stand tight enough?

    • @FlowAerials
      @FlowAerials 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@muteFPV It can be, but i feel more secure when they have an end point, thats all. :)
      The problem is that with the stock handle i cannot fit the TX in my Betafpv backpack, because it has more height that the X9D. I have tried the folding handle but thats not tall enought to clear the Immortal T or the Diamond antenna for the Crossfire in vertical position. I will test out that with the rotated stock handle it will fit in my backpack or not. If it will i will modify the stand to have an end position and everything will me fine for me also. :D

    • @muteFPV
      @muteFPV  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      It will become even taller if you flip the handle like I did, slimmer but taller :S It fits perfectly into my Hive backpack and it holds the radio in place very well, but it has a very spacious compartment for the radio.
