It’s not rude as long as you present things the right way if you go in there demanding then yeah that’s pretty rude. If you go in there being nice to them, acknowledging that you’re catching them at their house and thanking them majority of the time they’re gonna be pretty kind to you

As a teenager that owns a legal business, I would just like to add it’s about who approaches your door. My goal in my company was to impact people and create relationships, not just to sell. It takes the right person to knock to see true value, not just sales pitches
My door to door approach’s as well as people who door to door with me not only close deals but I help them complete the job. I’ve trained them to not only be salesmen but efficient service providers

Batteries are way too expensive it's best to just get a generac with your system
Simply misinformed. Net metering all your excess energy is stored on the grid and shows up as a credit on your bill
