    I for the life of me can't understand why Araujo would leave Barca, to join this level of team. With all respect to the historically great club that are Juve, but the lack of quality, in terms of top end quality is alarming.
    Great point about control v directness (I'd call it verticality). Completely agree. Its simple, but the reality is in football you have to run and do it quickly, its a mentality and one you need the players for. Which is why you called for Weah.
    I don't even think its control at times, if you can't break lines and create dynamic attacks, id argue you are actually being controlled. You can be controlled while still having the ball much of the game.

      It's a great point about control to be fair, possession, and control of a game are not as linked as maybe the majority think. Teams can approach games against Juve bravely because the Juve system allows that through a lack of penetration. Would they show Inter the same who maybe won't be as "controlled" but can dismantle a press a lot more efficiently? Worth a thought

      Really great take overall. I personally can’t understand the Araujo situation either, especially coming off the back of a huge El Classico win where he played his part on the pitch and as one of the team’s captains.

      @@Zedders I think one game which stands out to me and made me truly understand it was Brazil vs Germany, 7-1. Because actually what maybe has been forgotten about that game, is I recall Brazil had a decent amount of possession for a team that got absolutely smashed. But all the possession was around the back line and pivot area, they couldn't break through the German front line at all.
      Germany, you could say were operating with a high press but only to the extent of being compact and with all 10 being in the Brazil half.But the first line of immediate pressure wasnt on the Brazil back 4, they didn't commit all the way to the CBS and goalie in a 1v1 fashion, to press and recover the ball from there. Instead I would say they controlled the game totally without the ball by blocking all avenues forward and rarely allowed any Brazilian player to play a forward line breaking pass.
      Random analogy and thought but it just relates to the topic.
      Not even saying Juve were controlled in this game, I didn't watch it, but I've seen a couple Juve games this season and the lack of verticality and movement behind the defence seemed to be a common theme and you've mentioned it here again.

      @@lyonkennedy4892 yeah I don't understand it. Araujo been at Barca a while now and has suffered for a long time, often the lone bright light at the back. Now Barca are one of most interesting young teams in Europe and producing performances not seen in years. With young players taking steps all the time, more talent than any side since MSN and a proven winner coach. Why leave now, when things are going in the right direction? He has suffered for long, he deserves to be part of the success that Barca may see in the near future.

    hope you watched today also! lol my juve has become a joke. rebranding, losing marotta and agnelli ownership. giuntoli has shit the bed this year i mean theres no way to predict these injuries but to go into a season with 1 healthy striker his only alternative being on a long term injury in milik. luiz hasnt worked out koop is finally showing brief flashes. yildiz looks good but he cant do it all alone, vlahovic is anonymous 4/5 games. other teams have all bullied us on a high press, gatti showing flaws on the ball etc etc. this "project" has been a complete failure

      I didn't I was watching the prem games but had an eye on the score as it was happening. Yeah there is money spent which I suppose you can equate to ambition. But it doesn't guarantee anything if the people making decisions and fit for purpose

    Thats why i was shocked when chiesa was up for sail. He was always an attacking threat and made good runs when on the counter. Koopmieners is struggling at that position. He cant play as a number 10.

      Chiesa has managed 1 appearance for Liverpool in the Premier League. If he carries on at the same rate he won't even get a medal if Liverpool win the league.
      He might have the right attacking skillset but he's not exactly an attacking threat from the medical table

      Koopmeiners played exactly at 10 for a large part of last season. Granted, it was in a completely different system.

    Don't you think Gatti & Kalulu are issues, as they can't play out from the back- it hurts watching them pass it side-ways.
    I think this team lacks players who can receive the ball on the half-turn in the half spaces- Koopmeiners is misprofiled as a 10, should be part of double pivot.
    In your opinion, how do you think Motta wants to play, there are strong links with: Kolo Muani & Araujo. It seems like Allegri's ghost is managing the team.

      Allegri's ghost is accurate, when I'm not paying attention I forget it's not his team.

    • @Zedders
      @Zedders  28 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      Yeah that's fair with the CB's. Issue is with him playing there is you've got a bit of an overload on CM's
      Both of those 2 signings would be pretty big tbf. Araujo is class and I think Kolo Muani could fill a Zirkzee shaped hole in Motta's system

    • @SootuKoll
      @SootuKoll 27 วันที่ผ่านมา +2

      Koopmeiners is more of an attacking than a defensive player. He pretty much played as a 10 last season for Atalanta, even though it was in a different system. And before that he was always more of a 8 than 6 for them aswell.

  • @kayumbangoy4323
    @kayumbangoy4323 27 วันที่ผ่านมา +3

    The team is fine lol but they cant attack to save their lives. Otherwise, everything else is fine.
    Vlahovic is a pole doesn't move and offer options. Koopmeiners isn't a 10 and Yildiz is too greedy

    • @Zedders
      @Zedders  27 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      Vlahovic is a player that english football fans with no knowledge of other leagues hold up in high esteem. Wish people would watch players before actually deciding if they're good or not
