Well...here we are. Thank god he got kicked
I loved the video. As a brazilian and a real madrid fan, I can see these problems even in our national team
Second coming of the Galacticos? This is basically the 3rd edition: Zidane,R9, Beckham era; CR7, Bale, Modric era; now: Vini, Jude, Mbappe era.
love that cheeky trent reference lmao. i do think he will go to madrid in the summer, and quite frankly with him being the deep playmaker and bellingham actually operating higher up the pitch it can fill in that "kroos" role. i'm acc dreading trent with having vini, mbappe, rodrygo all to himself 😹
Haha, cheers bud. The genius of that one is, Kroos & Modric used to peel off into full back positions from midfield, now the full back is playing that role it still gives you numerical advantages in the centrr
@@Zedders Although I don't think Trent can fill that role because what Kroos did was manage and handle possession to get the best use of it while Trent is someone who always looks for the pass forward, he is much more direct, and he doesn't have the "Pause" that Kroos or Modric have.
Do you think Bellingham taking Vini’s role in the high press would aid them. As he is probably more equipped to do the longer yards running and being in the line of 4 when in a low block?
Maybe. He's still not perfect at it though, and we're he does step up a level with his press it feels a little Ronaldo like where he's almost doing it for show
@ i must admit i rarely find time to watch their games anymore sadly. Was always going to arise the oop issues with having all 4 playing
What players on the future market do you think can give more balance to this madrid side
Trent Alexander-Arnold defo offers a dynamic with his passing range to transfer the ball from back to front. Still gives you the ability to play more athletic players in the midfield as well
@Zedders wondering more about a direct midfield kroos replacement, kimmich always comes into my mind (even though i dont want him to leave bayern). He is superb in both rb and midfield with his progressive passes/key passes etc. Do you think that real madrid should put their focus to him or another midfielder
@prodbywake tbf i think they'll improve once Tchouameni can play more in midfield. Maybe missed out on Zubimendi as well, Ricci for Torino would be rogue but I'd like it or Angelo Stiller from Stuttgart would be the smartest option
Arsenal - Manchester City - 5:1, Bournemouth - Liverpool - 0:2, Nottingham Forest - Brighton - 7:0, Bournemouth - Nottingham Forest 5:0, pleaseeeeeeee
13:00 I can just imagine Gudjohnsenn dropping into the middle of the pitch with an over zelous centre back following, playing a quick pass to robben who then plays it through the free space the CB has left and where Duff has made a quick run into getting the ball & advancing to a 1 vs 1 against the keeper.
04/05 is still to this day my favourite premier league season So many great moments. This Chelsea side, Man Utd vs Arsenal invincibles rivalry (pizzagate, Keane vs Viera at Highbury, FA Cup final etc..) Chelsea vs Liverpool rivalry (League cup final, CL semi final), Chelsea vs Barcelona legendary CL game, Liverpool winning the Champions League in Istanbul, Rooney's debut season for Utd, Everton finishing 4th, Bolton finishing sixth & that Lee Bowyer & Keiron Dyer bust up. ps: the title race was still competative until January when Chelsea started to really dominate & run ahead of the pack.
Hey dude hope all is well, ty for the video think I might try recreate this in FM.
Thankyou bud. Let us know how you get on! Feels very FMable
Do you reckon Iraola leaves in the summer or does he trust the project?
Difficult one. The only job that could become available between now and the end of the season is the Spurs job, and I don't think where they could end up might not be enough to provide a pull. Maybe foreign? Like if Juve were to become available then or if Kovac doesn't work out for Dortmund. Those clubs have stature and could pull him in, but I would still back him to remain at Bournemouth, especially if he gets them into Europe
@ true. It sounds weird but I feel like he will only suit an underdog and not really kick on as much as he has with a club with a bigger starure
Hello? Where's tactical analysis: Bournemouth - Forest, Napoli - Juve?
Lost my voice since this upload, been unable to record. Got somethings planned to make up for it
ok, get well soon buddy, when you get better, write them down, don’t forget the main thing)
Chelsea pressing pretty ineffective again, pressing high but leaving back line exposed and Haaland against 2 weak CBs. Chelsea back line trying to compress play but stayed too high and vulnerable to long balls. In the first minute City almost scored, 3 passes and they were through on goal. Yes Chelsea build up good but not enough when don't have threat up front and even when taking the lead in games, can't manage it.
my jaw dropped at the duster bit in the intro, great analysis as always!
Hey man loved the video. think ange has lost his head and seems like hes working his way towards the end even if they get their players back. As a united fan what do you this is causing our problems getting the ball up the field?
I've never been completely on board with how narrow the build up can very with how he inverts his full backs, makes them a lot easier to press, and it relies on the pace of the wingers to get them up the pitch. Son & Kulu don't have it in them to beat their men for pace
Oh, yeah, I completely forgot, I would also like Napoli - Juventus, since Juventus is very good in defense and had not lost before this match, I wonder how Napoli was able to break this unbeaten streak.
Do you know what's funny, people think that spurs shouldn't be losing to relegation candidates yet they literally do it every season. Leicester drubbed them 4-1 the season they got relegated. The only difference is that now Spurs are the relegation candidates. Ange should be sacked if they want to move forwards. The same tactical issues that were there last season are still present and is no doubt causing all of the injuries they have. Great video as always.
Bournemouth - Nottingham Forest 5:0 deserved tactical analysis, people didn't expect result like this.
Coming tomorrow mate
@@Zedders ok, 👌
@@Zedders man great analysis I personally think that the problem is not the manager the problem is not having quality players for his style of play. Think about it ange during time at Celtic he won trophies with this style of play because he had the right team for it . The one to be blamed is Daniel Levy Tottenham Hotspur owner for not providing quality players that the manager wants in his squad.
@1998ibra I don't disagree with you at all, but is there not an argument to say that certain situations that require adaptation to get you through and he's being a little too stubborn? Everything you said about Levy I agree with just think that it's too easy to take that light away from a manager sometimes
I can't wait 🙌🏼 and keep up the excellent analysis my friend 👍🏼
There is no way they will get relegated. I dont think its going to happen. But they can finish just above the relegation zone somwehere around where they are sitting now. I will be shocked if they will go down to Championship... From finishing 2points below the Champions League qualification last season, to get relegated to Championship the season after...
If there's a team that can do it, it's Spurs. Would be the opposite Leicester
Pep did an excellent job having his midfielders in more holding roles allowing shorter recovery runs. And allowing the younger attackers and fullbacks make the energetic foward runs
You can't title the video "How Pep turned to the darkside" and not show him in a Darth Vader mask. Anyway, this was poor from Maresca. Chelsea were way too passive off the ball and taking off their best outlet in Jackson was a mistake. This game reminded me of City's 4-1 win over Arsenal. They also scored by going long to Haaland. If your team doesn't have a physically dominant CB, don't press man to man against City.
Missed an opportunity there didn't I 😂 yeah, they defo were. Strange ad well when he's said in his press conferences that Nkunku isn't a 9 and then chucks him in over Guiu who at this point must be wondering why he bothered joining
maresca passive press is horrid
Tbf to Maresca, I also think he's got a bit of defensive ill discipline from those forward players. Palmer, Enzo, Madueke & Sancho are all players that can get caught defensively. Can carry 1, maybe 2 but not 4
Maresca tacticaly it's just not wise Pressing is just poor Having city hold the poor giving them time and space is a tactical flaw
so if they lost it would have been the opposite title?
The REFEREE did all the dirty job.
I think City also made it extremely easy for PSG to confidently stay with their high press throughout basically the whole game because they just were not a threat in transition whatsoever. I think it was somewhere during the first half when City actually managed to find a long ball into Haaland which he manages to keep under pressure from both CBs and then he looks up and there's just... nobody coming to help him. Even in the instances, and they weren't that rare, that City managed to play through the press, they just refused to do anything quickly. The ball would go into De Bruyne and he wouldn't look to go forward, he would just look to keep it and slow the game down. It felt like they were giving PSG time to get back into their deeper defensive shape instead of trying to exploit the fact that they just played past like half the team.
Bang on the money there mate
The only time i'd catch myself celebrating a psg victory would be if it where at city's expense
You and me both mate
How bout Barcelona😂
@@ZeddersYou diss Barcelona for being in debt Money only bad if clubs you dont like have it
@@eavyeavy2864 when have I ever dissed Barcelona for being in debt? You're responding to points I've never made 😂
Bro. Benfica had 4 shots and 4 goals 1 pen that was dubious , 1 goal keeper screw up and and OG. 3 of these goals came from kounde side who is a terrible defender on his back foot not helped by Lamine who does not track back. The way you talking is as if benfica had some kind of masterclass in pressing.
hey man hope everything is better from the stuff that made you take a break from TH-cam a while back. Thanks for the vids as always.
Thankyou mate. That's very kind of you to say, and your support means a lot bud
Been saying szesny isn’t a sweeper but other barca fans just won’t accept it
Oh the Benfica and Madrid game should highlight his limitations more than anything else
Yeah that’s why Peña has been starter.
The way barca is being taken out of context is reminding me of the chelsea match
No video analysis for Man United vs Brighton game? lol
Had a busy weekend, didn't have the time to do Prem games
@ I know you’re a Man United fan so you don’t have to make a vid on it if you don’t want to lol. Anyway, good day mate.
@CompatibleLeftist haha, I know it looks like I'm hiding on that front 😂 and yourself bud, have a good un
Pedri is the best CM on the planet. It’s not opinion it’s fact.
I love how the only way to foul him is on purpose. The guy glides away.
I feel like when Barcelona got it back 1-1 they had the game under control and if it were not for Szcesny’s error they would killed Benfica in that first half.
Defo agree. Mistakes like that give opposition confidence to build into the game
Same we were on their throats
They gave benfica 3 goals for Xmas at the end of Jan.
Great video, always a pleasure to hear your breakdowns. Do you think that Madrid will always struggle to beat us or breakdown our pressing shape since their fullbacks are so lack luster at the moment? The times I remembered courtois making a pass to his full backs in the class resulted more often than not in a poor control and loss of the ball or a poor decision after receiving the ball. They also like a high quality player that can help them build up through the middle, Sure Ceballo's fits the profile but I don’t think he is good enough to fulfill their needs.
Defo think there's something in that. You even think if they play City, who build up with full backs coming inside instantly in build up it would be another team that Barca could pin in
@@Zedders I really must give you props for all the knowledge you show of different teams and the willingness to make videos of more than one team. Most of the time TH-camrs only analyze their favorite team or one league and if they cover more than one team it usually some half baked stuff. but you have covered a lot of teams from different leagues. Great work. You maybe just have to work on your editing a bit but you are more insightful than other TH-camrs and your delivery of knowledge is also pretty good. PD: I didn’t see Pedri in the second half, I saw iniesta.
@luiscubias3407 thankyou very much mate. Those are very kind words and I'm grateful for that support. Oh you are bang on, I know he's by no means inexperienced but to have the arrogance to take the ball and show off almost the way he does is top level stuff
@@Zedders raphinha was the one who won the man of the match against benfica if my mind serves me right.
Nice man❤
would love to hear your thoughts on Man U - Brighton
Working on a separate video for prem. Working on some reformatting so didn't do the prem games this weekend. Trying some new things for the channel to see what works
Newcastle are on a 9 game winning streak in all competitions (the longest in their history) and 6 in the premier league. Would love to hear a breakdown of their tactics by yourself. Hopefully they continue it today as well.
Jinxed them😢
@ 😞
City attack was too narrow. Maybe they need to play 3 at the back and have wingbacks provide breadth.? That said, KdB is fit, so they can try to have him on the ball in dangerous area's to cross the ball into Håland. Thats pretty easy to defend against tho, if the oppo can keep the pressure on KdB. The new players should do well next season, tho Marmoush won't fit the club, playing against deep blocks, as well as he does in the more open bundesliga. But he's versatile, so maybe Pep will figure out how to employ him.
Chelsea - Bournemouth!!!
Comment
proper old style team forest 2 big tall fuck off CBs a workhorse midfielder and a creator 2 fast pacey wingers and a target forward upfront with a 10 behind him. Love it.
Love it, stuck in 1999 and I love the fact that it's working
Good analysis. Now, we need Chelsea - Bournemouth 2:2
Ancelotti got it wrong yet again. He clearly not learn lesson from that 4-0 loss to Barca in Bernabeu few weeks ago
Once I seen touchamendi and Vasquez in the back line, I put 100$ for Barca to score 2 goals first half and to win the game 😂
Good night for then 😂
I didn't see the game, so I might be completely off, but I feel like Bellingham is just getting tired. Mbappe and Vini are known to not do anything defensively, and they like to play in the same spot offensively. So the entire season, Bellingham has had to pick up their slack in terms of defensive and offensive actions. At some point, you just can't do that anymore mentally and physically. It seems like we might be reaching that point with Bellingham. Sure, he has his moments of brilliance, but even those are starting to be few and far between.
You've made a strong point there and that could well be true. It is clear that the signing of Mbappe has had an effect on Bellingham in both aspects, there's just no chemistry between that front 3
Hey Zedders, do you think that these players would be happy to listen to another manager, maybe a Xabi Alonso, who’s tactically more demanding of his players?
I dunno, it's hard to say another manager gets a tune out of these players when there current one is Ancelotti, but sometimes era's end and players just need a new voice
Mbappe definitely had his best game in a Madrid shirt by far. Barca we’re just too good😂
Off the ball he's a liability, can't have 3 players not doing anything against a team that good. Being bright in counter attacking situations is what he should offer minimally with his quality
No argument there, nonexistent of the ball, yes, but really came alive whenever he had it and completed an incredible 8 out of 9 dribbles for all his troubles. Got me, as a Barca fan, worried every time he had the ball tbh. Fortunately, we were on top of our game and barely gave him a shooting opportunity.
Arsenal didnt control anything . They couldnt dominate a team of ten men not to mention a blatantly biased ref .
The next games should be interesting. I hope Barcelona as a squad kick in and fight for La Liga and the UCL. We got tired in November and December resulting in so many dropped points. I think the key now is effective rotations to keep the squad fresh.
I think we lost cos Yamal was injured. I hope we don't become dependent on him like we did with Messi
