Top 10 Courtroom Films: 1. A Few Good Men (1992) 2. The Trial of the Chicago 7 (2020) 3. Philadelphia (1993) 4. My Cousin Vinny (1992) 5. 12 Angry Men (1957) 6. The Exorcism of Emily Rose (2005) 7. Primal Fear (1996) 8. In the Name of the Father (1993) 9. Anatomy of a Murder (1959) 10. Michael Clayton (2007) Honorable Mentions: “Bridge of Spies (2015)”, “The Judge (2014)", “Presumed Innocent (1990)”, “The Firm (1993)”, “The Pelican Brief (1993)”, “Runaway Jury (2003)”, “Paths of Glory (1957)”, “Marshall (2017)”, “Fracture (2007)”, “Just Mercy (2019)”, and “The Lincoln Lawyer (2011)”
"A Few Good Men" repeats what was said in the courtroom in "The Caine Mutiny." I would also include "The Life of Emile Zola," one of Paul Muni's best performances.
I didn't like 12 Angry Men that much. I admit, it's a finely made movie with great performances and a unique focus. It's a good movie, no doubt. But it just failed to take me to that level that only a few movies can claim as "Masterpiece". Particularly, several of the arguments made by Peter Fonda's character didn't really stick for me. Also, there were several times that the jury could've simply declared themselves deadlocked and thus a hung jury yet the movie just kinda ignores this while at the same time having several jury members point out the possibility. Pointing out a plot hole without a fix feels strange and lazy.

Has anyone seen the film ‘Red Corner’ it’s another Richard Gere court room film and is an underrated masterpiece
Glad to see someone else with A Few Good Men so high up! I adore that movie!
Great inclusion with Emily Rose 👍🏻 surprised to not see A Time To Kill getting any love anywhere in the comments......
And let's not forget "The Contender" starring Joan Allen, Jeff Bridges, Christian Slater and Gary Oldman.
The Passion of Joan of Arc is the only Slient film that I watched on the Cinema.
Breaker Morant.
Queens Bench V11.
The Boys (Richard Todd 1962)
King and Country (1964)
That's my List!
Judgement at Nuremberg, To Kill A Mockingbird, Paths of Glory and 12 Angry Men are my favorites.
My Cousin Vinny deserved to be in the list proper.
"A Few Good Men" repeats what was said in the courtroom in "The Caine Mutiny." I would also include "The Life of Emile Zola," one of Paul Muni's best performances.
I think we're missing The Caine Mutiny from this list.
The Verdict deserved higher rating... For sure
I think that The Caine Mutiny should have been on this list. It had a dramatic court-martial trial that set the bar for others to follow.
As the narrator said suspenseful Spencer Tracy came on screen. Coincidence?
A Man for All Seasons.
No 1 was predictable, but did not take place in a courtroom
Rules of engagement, Lincoln lawyer, should of been at least honorable mention.
and justice for all should be on here,al pacino s performance was brilliant in that film!!
3:42 close up
Philadelphia!!
Anatomy of a Murder is the best court room movie period.
Court the Marathi Film is a true marvel
Close Up changed film grammar forever.
