    DO NOT FALL FOR THE GIVEAWAY SCAM!!! Last week comments on my new video were spam replied by a scammer who stole my channel logo to try to make it look like I was replying. Their channel name was something like TEXT XXX-XXX-XXXX and they responded to comments saying "congratulations you've won a giveaway" in order to get people to text the channel name phone number. From what I understand they then asked for money in order to claim the prize. This is obviously a scam and a popular one going around TH-cam right now. Unfortunately at least one of my viewers fell for it, who then proceeded to spam the comments on my videos saying that I ripped him off.
    Anybody can download my channel logo and use it as their own. If the logo doesn't have NDYakAngler✔ next to it in the comment section, it's not me. As a TH-camr I get paid for views. If I was going to do a giveaway for a big ticket item like a kayak I guarantee you'll see a video about it with a click baity title like "Big Giveaway MUST WATCH", instead of creeping around the comment section trying to get you to text a phone number. TH-cam's spam filter usually takes care of these scammer comments but this time they let 40+ identical replies slide by. I noticed this week there was a new increase strictness setting so I clicked that and hopefully that will weed them out in the future.

    This is why this is my favorite fishing channel. The 1st 5 minutes isn’t watching you get in your vehicle, starting it, stopping for gas, getting snacks, another few minutes of drone footage while explaining your prowess. Just straight into killing it! Thank you for not using filler in order to get video length.

    I still haven't caught a fish on a whopper plopper and I have 5 of them. I had the craziest catch of my life yesterday in a 15 acre pond. I had a nose hooked fluke chilling about 3-4 feet off the boat (2 bench modified metal) as the trolling motor was banging in to a 8 foot collection of branches and mud was kicking up. I was trying to reverse out and in the middle of the last two knocks and a little branch breaking I got smoked by a 3 lb largemouth. So it is possible to be banging in to trees, kicking mud and breaking a branch and catch a fish 3-4 feet away. I had one lie in that story and in true fisherman style, it was adding 1lb to the bass.

    • @ndyakangler
      @ndyakangler  9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I tried swapping single siwash hooks on a spook a few years back. Maybe I just had bad luck that day but three out of the first half dozen fish I caught took one of those single hooks to the eye. That’s something that I normally see maybe once or twice all year fishing trebles so after the third I tied back on a regular spook and didn’t mangle any more fish that day. Like I said maybe it was just bad luck that trip, I’ll have to give it a try again some time.

Big river smallies and we had 3 of 18 inches or better landed by 830am. Then pond largemouth bass fighting the wind but catching them on everything we threw, then creek smallies and rock bass. A little stained water but they were done spawning. Good to keep them over the side so they don't fertilize your boat or Yak. LOL. Thanks for taking us along brother

    Fell off my iSUP yesterday and had to do a open water remount. First time. Have to say having all your gear safely secured to the craft and as few bits and pieces laying around makes for a safe maneuver, always wear your PFD kids

    You should get a super-nice silicone net. Nicer on the fish and resistant to tangling in hooks

      I’ll have to check a couple out next time I stop by the sporting goods store. Last time I looked at one of the full rubber nets it just seemed so bulky and felt like it weighed about 40lbs. I like to try to keep gear as light and compact as possible in the kayak.

      There are times I wish I had a motor to cover more water, but the kayak is great for getting into those places where bigger boats can’t go!

    Cold water ploppin.. my fav! Still hits hard! Up here in Maine is a staple of early season fishing! 50° water and hungry fish equals a great time. I just had a big ol pike on earlier this week! Got my plopper stuck on some grass. And as I twitched it out she came outta no where! Glad to see ur still at it buddy! Love the videos! Yack fishing is the best. Hey another suggestion I'm sure would transition to down there.. I'd try running a Alabama rig with a whacky rigged long ass plastic worms. About 16" up from your weight. On an octopus hook. They get great hits

    A rubber net is key for Pike fishing. I rarely have them roll up my rubber net on me.
