Nah, fam. An original can be perfect and still a remakes comes out that is ALSO perfect and even better in all the ways that made the original was great. For example, the original Prototype had Andre 3000's off key, pitchy and comically bad vocals, which are, to say the least, NOWHERE NEAR as good any any one else that's ever remade this song (Jesse Boykins III, Raheem Devaughn, Jasmine Sullivan, etc.). And then musically, the remakes have the benefit of all the richer, fuller complexity of musical instrumentation and technology that have come about in the intervening years since the original. Add to that Andre's immature and ruinous ad libs that break the mood like "Stank you, smelly much", etc. and yeah, there's definitely room for improvement. The original was far form perfect. You're just hearing it through nostalgic ears.
The original is perfect because that's the way Andre intended to be he wrote and produced it he has every right to piece it together to way he deems fit stop trying to discredit that man cause YOU don't like his edition it's still the best version outta all the covers you just named bar none has nothing to do with nostalgia
