    Awesome tutorial! Is there a way to change the ball's material ID upon collision?

    • @RedefineFX
      @RedefineFX  ปีที่แล้ว

      Not in this setup. It would have to be setup differently using a collision operator which would also act as a condition test

  • @hanshubert6675
    @hanshubert6675 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    thank you for sharing your tyflow knowledge i just learned of its existence ;). let me repay you with some qol tips
    1: you can specify material ids within the shell modifier
    2: if you still want to go that road of collapsing the modifier and then specifying matIDs you can select one face and then shift click an adjacent face to select the ring instead of selecting an edge then ringselect then convert the selection
    3: why bother with mat ids at all? just scalecopy the collisionbox and delete the front and back face. done

    • @RedefineFX
      @RedefineFX  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thank you! Love the tips. Using or not using the material IDs in this example makes no difference but just wanted to show people how to do that since it comes in handy all the time.

    Hello Jesse. First of all thanks for the tutorial it's an awesome one. I have a question regarding Phoenix FD. Everytime simulation is done in Phoenix FD it starts from zero. Is there any way to make any simulation become active or run from like 10 in the timeline or so? The start frame and stop frame doesn't help much. Nothing gets simulated at all. Hoping you could help on this.

    In this video everything you do seems super responsive. I have a Threadripper 3rd gen and an RTX2080 and a GTX 1070, once I start adding collision things take a long time to update. I have thought of adding a Cache operator to help with this but again your scene seems super smooth!
