As an amateur with woodworker, i typically feel overpowered with the entire arrangement th-cam.com/users/postUgkxrYREG3-7f1Aqk9ams3ZESRNzGnfdUtyQ . Be that as it may, this arrangements drove me through with much clarity and effortlessness woodplans. Works i now work like a genius. That is great!

That’s an extremely well built door, looks great. I have to admit I would have rather you didn’t paint it and just used something like an exterior hard wax oil instead but I see why you did it. And I appreciate it, anyway the main thing is the comforting fact that there is a super solid durable wood underneath which will last decades

Love the door 👍I built a covered front porch and used clear redwood 6x6 columns.. I got the same response when I painted them.. I used redwood because it handle rot well.. love your channel no BS 👍😊

I made sapele door a few years back. Watching your video gave me a great sense of satisfaction- in that I used many of the same techniques. It was my first exterior door build. Everything i did was self taught. Some skill and a lot of luck on my end. Very brittle wood is right.Anyway. Fantastic job! Thank you.

i dont know if this will help but I had a similar problem with a matched router bit set and it turned out my router was set slightly crooked in the table. i put a 1/2" rod in the router and at a foot above the table it was 3/16" out of square. this was enough to mess up the match. after shimming to square the bits worked perfectly

Or would that have slowed the job down... & was time important ?... i.e. are u in "production mode" here ?? 🙄

+Further Fabrication cool man, def go for American ASH it's pretty cheap and nice to work with. Might be a bit tricky getting a small amount. Contact bbs timbers in Auckland and they will pick and ship what ever you want.

Nice job, Joey! I laughed out loud the way you rolled your eyes and sarcastically commented about the Wood Whisperer clear coating his outside project. I thought the same thing and was yelling at my screen saying "No Mark, don't do it!".

beautiful job on the door; i cried (only a little) at the paint, but, your reasoning is sound. and, the quality shines through. it's a gorgeous piece of workmanship. but, in my not-so-humble-opinion, it could've been gorgeouser. I think i just invented a new word.
