    Why would you like it, if it gives out high inaccurate readings 😒 look at the forums and see for yourself.

      Agreed. It doesn't work, so why is it so great?

      The point of the RUF shows is to come into the product blind. I want the video to be a pure first look. For products that are more complex...LED lights, testing gear, etc I do second videos and dive more into test results, PAR readings, etc.

      @@Saltwateraquariumdotcom Can't wait to see more of your insight on the product as it goes. I have a feeling like plenty said that the reagent indicated value could be wrong. Thank you for this video.

      I think someone got paid to make this video

    Already seen others saying they may have misprinted the amount of reagent which is why everyone is reading high on it for everyone.

    I pre-ordered the tester. Mine tested high as seen in the video. I reached out to SaltwaterAquarium and tried the suggested 5mL of Reagent. This tested low…. I was debating on returning unit… I decided to test today one last time after reading every word of the instructions and much effort to be EXTREMELY PRECISE.
    SOOOO UPDATE TIME….
    Today I did my Mag tests using the stated 4mL of Reagent A.
    I disassembled the silicone from the tips, cleaned each tip thoroughly, made sure when I reassembled the silicone was completely seated in the tip…
    Then I made sure to draw the EXACT correct amounts of liquid into each plunger, wipe the outside of each tip, and make sure that not a drop escaped or was left behind…
    I tested (2) reef tanks this way and BOTH TESTED ACCURATELY!!! TODAY was the first time the new checker has made me happy!
    I am thinking I may order a 1-10mL adjustable micro pippette on Amazon to ensure consistent accuracy…
    P.S. A refill for my Mag tester would be nice since I functioned as Quality Control for Hanna. 😜

    I own this tester as well as the Aquaforest test kit. I also took a sample from the tank on the same time and sent it off to ATI. All three including the Hanna were within 75 points of each other.

    I'm using both Mr. Red and Hannah. The two values are the same when comparing and measuring the latest product with the red seed. I'm quite pleased

    Good job ! I like cost per test comparison too

    I have used the Hanna Marine Mag tester three times now. I also use the Salifert Mag test kit. The Salifert is giving readings in the 1200 range. The Hanna is giving readings in the 1500 range. Thoughts??

    Hanna USA/EU is solving wrong measurements of Mg level due to bad quality of reagents (raw material) - sale is on hold / expected new reagents within 07-08/22

    It will be interesting to see what your results are. I’ve tried it with the syringes and tips provided and I’ve tried it with an E4 adjustable pipette. No matter what I get readings that are 300- 400 ppm higher that what Salifert reads. This seams to be the case with a lot of people who own this checker.

    They should be recalled..inacurate results.

    Love the music at the end of the video.
    I have a Trident, but I also test weekly. There are +/- for errors on both trident and hanna testers.
    What are your thoughts on calibrating the trident to the readings from a hanna tester vs the calibration fluid that comes with the reagents?

    Great video
    I did several test with new magnesium Hanna checker , the results was 1750 to 1800 ppm
    According to other people test , reef to reef, TH-cam, and other sources it’s all has 200 to 400 ppm over the Neptune test or nayos or Red Sea …
    The results is to high by far

  • @khanhpham4998

    what to do with magnesium test result 1800?

  • @Sammy31Dee
    @Sammy31Dee 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Did you get a proper reading ....every other reviews says it reads 3-400ppm high

  • @paulukreefer5012
    @paulukreefer5012 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    Third review I have seen on this and all
    Of them are reading high… I have all the other checkers but this one is a worry

  • @dankfir1309
    @dankfir1309 2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

    I already own 2 units like this.
    both gave me wrong and too high results.
    Something wrong in this checker, you can compare it to ICP .
    this item looks defective from head to toe.
    So, Why are you so happy?
    just that you will not need to read the color any more?
    LOL....

  • @bluereef9530
    @bluereef9530 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    Sounds like these readings are high. Let’s compare it to ICP test. Rather use Salifert which gets 50 test that last for long time. .

    You said ZERO about it reading 1755!!!! What's your Trident say????? Seeing all over the internet that these testers are reading High! We need answers from Hanna. Seems like SaltwaterAquarium can make that happen?

    • @dankfir1309
      @dankfir1309 2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Agreed.
      You must ask answers from Hanna

      That’s what the next video is about. This video is just first impressions and ease of use

    • @arturreef8117
      @arturreef8117 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I compared to my Ati icp and it's way off reading super high. I think if you don't install the tips and draw just ml extra for reagent A and B you should get the proper reading.

    • @dankfir1309
      @dankfir1309 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Now I see this guy
      th-cam.com/video/HH3X-O4IR6Q/w-d-xo.html
      he said that Hanna says that we need to increase the dosing of reagent A to 5 ml instead of 4.
      very intersting.
      I will try

    • @theguy81642

      Yeah mine read between 1750
      -1800 I have been using the Aquaforest Magnesium test for years now and I get consistent spot on results at my 1350 target. What's going on Hanna?

    What good is ease of use if it is wildly inaccurate? I assume you don't run your reef at 1755. Giving this a positive review is shameful. What a shill...
