Good. You shouldn't. Every now and then a sneaky advertiser gets one through, but your data point is why I bring this up -- we may only know about one of those if someone reports it to us since we may not see the same thing. -Nick
From my memory when we booked our Atlantis stay, they don’t release availability till after the February date so don’t hope to get a spring break or summer trip.
Hyatt wins because they also changed the AA partnership If Hyatt ever went to dynamic pricing, they are done. Their properties are not on the same level as Marriott and Hilton and the only thing keeping them alive is their award chart and top tier loyalty benefits

SAS being so difficult demonstrates everything people find annoying with complicated promotions. We live in a world of "gotchas" and it's annoying. They should just award everyone who flew 15 airlines. The whole "we have to confirm your fare class" non sense seems so crazy when you put the work into flying so much. I think it is going to be interesting to see what people think of them if they don't just hurry up and give you your reward
@iankm1 , they should eliminate the fare class nonsense. It's difficult enough to figure out what fare class you are even buying. It's a stupid technicality. If you fly 15 different airlines, they should just give it to you.
@ it’s a business trying to make money. Gotta have some rules. I obviously didn’t participate in this challenge but I bet if you purchase all the tickets directly through SAS they make it very easy for you to see the fair class because that’s what they want. They don’t want you using partners they don’t want you using third-party.
@@iankm1 , I get rules. But this is why people don't like airlines. Normal people don't want to have to understand the guts of a business to use it. The promotion is so "grand" in nature that they should drop the technicalities. A normal person (as opposed to travel enthusiasts who consider this a serious hobby) would hear that someone completed 15 different airlines and was denied the prize because of a fare class as being dishonest of the airline. And I would agree. What should be a cool marketing campaign could blow up in their face.
At the same time, this isn’t something that a ‘normal’ person would do. People always want businesses to just give something because they don’t want to follow the rules. If it’s too difficult then don’t do it to begin with. It’s a different story, if you follow the rules and don’t get the miles. Sorry but not flying the correct fare class is not one of them!
I’ve never seen a pop-up ad on the Frequent Miler website.

Your podcast is my favorite elderly-based pod I listen to. Thanks for your service to that demographic.
Can you book for 2025's Atlantis if you've already used it in 2024?
I paid $800. I wonder if I can do anything about it.

But what if you didn’t fly the right fare class? You shouldn’t get them it’s in the rules.
