I think what you would do is either make the model in the round rather than just one sided and flat, or add more clay to the back and sculpt that into the other side so it is more 3D
To start from scratch, you would need to sculpt an original from which to make a master mold. It requires artistic skill to make a figure completely from scratch. Some people buy unpainted castings abd paint them. You may also buy molds, and make your own castings & paint them, but this is becoming rare.@radicalelias9709
@2:09 Tin plus cast iron plus bismuth. This is wrong. There is NO iron in the alloy. A traditional tin soldier alloy is Sn /Pb/Sb. Modern lead free alloys are Sn/Sb, or Bi/ Cu. The best lead free is an Sn/Sb alloy. 92 to 98 Sn / 8 to 2 Sb.
