This is really interesting. I understand being fearful of change in case it doesn't work, like the last card up your sleeve being not a trump card but the joker. From personal experience of fatigue and depression (but not to a CFS degree), one block to switching to a WFPB diet is feeling overwhelmed by food preparation. Too many 'transition programmes' focus on deliciousness instead of convenience. If you are very tired, it's all too easy to buy something less-than-optimal to heat up instead of cooking. I think your approach helps here, Chef AJ. Concentrating on simple meals like baked sweet potatoes and vegetables steamed from frozen, with peas and a sprinkling of lemon juice, for example, can be helpful, as long as enough food is eaten - putting foods together rather than 'recipes', per se... Anything that relies on familiar foods, familiar techniques, flinging frozen produce into a pan or throwing a potato into the oven is good, I find. The more creative stuff can come later when energy levels have been restored.

I was diagnosed with CFS & FMS back in 1998. Life was hell. Fourteen years of doctors, drugs, pain, fatigue, & depression. In 2012 I was blessed by a trip to TrueNorth Health Center where I did a two-week water only fast. After five months of a strict WFPB diet I was pain/fatigue free!! So thankful!!! Watching Chef AJ (and reading her book) almost daily has been such an encouragement!!❤❤❤

Sorry I didn't see you live! I was out this afternoon. Another resource for chronic fatigue that I watch is CFS Health. Thank you for introducing this doctor! I found her on Facebook and followed.

I suffered for decades, have a fibromyalgia diagnosis, I rarely have pains now, my energy is better. These last years I have learned that my Tryptase levels are chronically very elevated, I have an issue with histamines in foods (MCAS), I’ll soon be testing for Vascular eds and Hats. I get colon dismotility with most starches, nobody can explain why.
