WrestleMania 9 was my first WrestleMania live. Uncle had a black box and i was finally old enough to stay up and watch. Like 3 families came together to watch at his SMALL house. I was so into bret and hulk cause of my age and shit. Man was that the start of me hating Hogan. I didn't understand it at the time but i felt so cheated. I even asked my mom to explain what happened and she assured me they would explain it better on tv.... they didn't haha.

The *vast majority* of this "widespread fan outrage" you always hear about, directed @ Hulk Hogan for incident X, Y, and Z, has just been scribbled into the de facto history books by a bunch of whiny losers on the internet.
Nobody gave a shit when Bret Hart was on top. Same as nobody gives a shit when all the other average sized man with wooden personalities have been on top. Nobody wants to see "WWE Champion, Generic Next-Door Neighbor" on television. They want to see people like Hulk Hogan. Deal with it.

I’d argue that the Brock Vs Roman WrestleMania 38 match finish was controversial just for how terrible it was. The so called greatest wrestlemania match ever lasted 12 minutes and had cheating too. It wasn’t clean, it was rushed, it was sloppy, it was short, it didn’t follow with much context, almost no follow up. Their summerslam match was so much better

I’m going to say something really controversial. I agree with the term “Brett screwed Brett”. I believe it was Corny who said, “Can you imagine, if a wrestler told that to Stu?” They pitched numerous scenarios to Brett and he turned them all down. The WWF couldn’t take the chance of Brett showing up on Nitro with the belt and doing a Medusa. Before you tell me Ric Flair in 1991, he technically owned the belt, since Herd refused to give him his deposit

The Cena and Batista Royal Rumble wasn't controversial at all. It was just a botch. They were the two brightest young stars at the moment and one of them was bound to win. Batista got the nod because him facing Triple H was the bigger draw for WM. It was quite literally the opposite of controversial.

On this list, I think the best one is Batista/Cena Rumble match for obvious reasons. For me, the most fucked up one is Foley never saying "I Quit"
