With director Otto Bathurst’s (Peaky Blinders) Robin Hood opening in theaters this week, I recently sat down with Jamie Dornan to talk about the retelling of the classic story. During the interview, he talked about how this film is different from any previous version of Robin Hood, if the real reason he did this movie was his love of the animated version of Robin Hood and his crush on Maid Marian the fox, what it was like filming with hundreds of extras and making a movie on such a grand scale, his love of the Robin Hood story, and more.
In the second half of the interview, Dornan played “Ice Breakers,” a fun game that includes topics like which TV show you would want to guest star on, your favorite sci-fi/fantasy movie, the film that scared you as a kid, what you collect, the movie/TV show props you own, your phone’s background photo, and more. I’ve found the game always leads to learning some fun stuff about the people we interview and this one was no different. For example, did you know Jamie Dornan loves The Golden Girls? Or how growing up he never thought he’d be in the entertainment industry?

Yes, i wish Jamie Dornan played the title character! He would be amazing! He's brilliant actor! Anyway, i'm going to watch the movie asap only bc of JDornan. I'm sure, he will be the biggest star in it! Is it possible to fall even deeper in love with Jamie Dornan?! 😍😍😍. However, watched “Robin Hood” last nite...was disappointed! Liked Taron Egerton as Robin but wished they would’ve kept the character of Will Scarlet the same (he was always my favorite character), then we would’ve seen more of Jamie!!!
Is Robin Hood going to be in the States? Being from Florida we don't get his movies. I want to see more of Jamie's movies in Florida. Great actor.

Was this film in the theatres at all? If so not in my area. Going to stream it now. I agree too that Jamie Dornan should have got the lead.

I saw the movie. I purchased it from Amazon and got it a week ago April 2019. I was disappointed with the movie. I didn't really like Taren playing Robin Hood. I never even heard of him. I think they should have picked Jamie Dornan instead. In fact, I thought it was going to be Jamie Dornan playing Robin Hood. :(
I only got the movie because Jamie Dornan was in it.
I've seen a lot of old Robin Hood movies. I liked the one that Kevin Costner did. But this new version was to me a disappointment. The shooting of arrows that Robin Hood did in this new movie just felt wrong for Robin Hood. I felt they took it to far to extreme. I felt that Jamie Dornan was underplayed for the movie. He is a good actor and I wish they had used him more.
I don't really have anything good to say about the movie. I saw the low ratings on it and the bad reviews but I only got it because Jamie Dornan was in it. I'm a big fan of Jamie Dornan.
