@@frutfoodtell me you don’t know anything about music without telling me you don’t know anything about music. Being a singer songwriter doesn’t make you a ts copy
i love your reactions! i agree that unfortunately the songs are way too short, but i think she always reaches that peak of emotion. her vocal tone is insane, she deserves all the attention her debut is getting!
But its not just her making short songs....the industry standard is between 2-3 minutes nowadays. We got lucky with the few longer tracks on this album. Could've been even shorter..
Two possibilities and probably both apply: either you've heard Apt on the radio or in the stores cause it is been played EVERYWHERE or you remember Hey Mickey you're so fine. It is a global sensation
I was in Singapore when it was released and I heard this everywhere in public on the first weekend after release. People where listening to it on the MRT. Cafés and Stores had it on repeat, it was absolutely impossible to avoid the song.
i love your reactions. i love how you connected with the songs by either vibing or sharing your insights. anyway, to share an info, number one girl, toxic till the end, and APT have their own music videos. feel free to catch them! thanks for this reaction! ❤
Hey love your reaction! This is gonna be a long comment sorry but just wanna give a bit context to the album as well. Actually for number one girl, the song was wrote based on her experiences on spending many late nights just scrolling through social media and how she hated that she was affected by the hate comments about her, she wrote number one girl wanting it to be a song that is just very vulnerable and honest even if she hated that she is being affected by / being this way. This album also marked her first time really getting involved in her songwriting. There is a BLACKPINK documentary film and there was a part where she and one of the main music producer of BLACKPINK said how Rosé has lots of personal stories but she also struggle and afraid to share it. And in a recent interview, she talked about how she finally got through her anxiety and lack of confident in songwriting, thanks to her sessions with other producers and encouragement from her friends and families, to finally put out this album. If you wanna know more about how this album was made and her story, I definitely recommend you watch her interview with Zane Lowe for Apple Music, it will give you lots more context of the album and her as a Kpop artist starting a new chapter on her career. Thanks again for the video
Omg thank you so much for all of this! Makes the album even sadder but also even better knowing she's finally confident to share her stories! You could tell it was such a personal interview!!!
i’m on track 3 of this album and it’s good so far, of course i’ve heard APT & number 1 girl and they’re both good songs… especially APT which is an unexpected smash hit ❤️🔥
I agree with you! Even though i loved the album and i have it on repeat (for real), the songs felt too short. However, i think it's a really good start as a solo artist considering Blackpink explores a very different type and genre of music, and that she never had this amount of creative freedom in YG. Rosé risking it all to make a pop (and a bit rocky) album (with the opposite vibe, no choreos, different mv production and sets), shows she's willing to learn more throughout the years and go bigger and bigger in her career, on her own and by her own means. For me, she's the next pop girl. She's captivating everyone, even those who have never listened to kpop and didn´t know her at all.
Rosé dejo lo mejor para el final Dance all night es perfecta en su voz, y la dejo al. Final para no irnos tan destruidos 🥺🥰 Amó esa canción I love you Rosé 🌹
rosie" because that's how her friends and family calls her, the album is all her feelings, moments and stories of the past 4 years. That's why is very sad, she was in a toxic relationship and it was very hard for her. She said "if you listen to the album from the top to the bottom, you may call me rosie"
APT is familiar to you because it is a huge success worldwide, it has been in the global top 1 on Spotify for 25 days, and it is a success on the radio, TikTok, and Instagram.
Her real name is Roseanne, Rosie is what her family and friends (close people) call her. She chose this name because it is an album with personal lyrics, so whoever is listening can also call her rosie❤️😿
So Rosé is my ult bias and writing this kinda hurts BUT I have to say I really hope she gets to work with other writers and producers in the future that will give her more elaborate songs with more of her own color in them. I feel like some of these sound a bit too much like other songs. Not counting APT since the interpolations are intentional. For example, 2 years and Toxic Til The End sound so much like TS songs even though the producers didn't work with Taylor in the past, so why do they sound so similar and how did nobody catch it? I hope moving forward she takes a break working with Amy Allen because she is the common denominator.
That being said -- My favorites on the album currently are Number One Girl, 3am, Stay A Little Longer, APT, and Toxic Till The End is growing on me. I like some of the lines in Not The Same a lot but the guitar makes it sound a bit too country for my taste and I agree it's repetitive.
Hmm idk toxic till the end sounds more like Avril Lavigne than Taylor Swift. I honestly feel the album had a good amount of variety in it, a solid debut album might I say
@@lunarvamp22 but 2 years definitely sounds like a TS song. And again, she should be putting out sounds that don't constantly remind listeners of other artists. I think for her first album, it's pretty good and I am so glad fans are loving it. But I just think she has some more work to do and I say that with so much love
I get what you are saying, but I think that's too early to say that... anyway, I really hope that we can see more sides of her in the future! I'm pretty sure that will happen. Rosé is full of surprises.
ALBUM OF THE YEAR 🫂🤍
I hope it will be the same next year
Wrong time to release the album for awards consideration.

APT has a MV, 500M views in 48 days. It's been #1 song on global billboard for 5 weeks straight.
DAMN how have I not heard a single thing about it wtf??? legit cannot stop listening!
@@bennshoutsreact to MV, it's really fun. Also number one girl and toxic till the end have MV too.

She will release a deluxe version with 3 more songs.
I cried multiple times 2 years heal something in me after a 5 year weird toxic relationship, new fan of Rosie
Awww 💙💙💙
The ‘forever young’ part in ‘dance all night’ is a reference to one of BLACKPINKs songs called ‘forever young’
Awww cute!!
