Queen Never Ever left ROCK !! Freddie did have throat bleed now and then but went for it anyway! Queen just a sweet old fashioned Rock Band 😂😂🥰🥰

I do not get some people saying that they went soft sounding on these later albums. Freddie's voice got stronger, IMO the sicker he got. What a way to spend a Sunday afternoon that is hotter than crap! Thanks Rory.

Roger Taylor: “I think it would’ve been very silly if we’d tried to sort of, say, end up sounding like Prince or whatever’s happening at the time. We have to stick to our guns and really make an album of the kind that we feel that people wanted from us. So, no, it’s not fashionable, really, and it’s not heavily influenced by outside sources, I think it’s very us and it goes right back to our beginnings in many ways.”

This and the next 2 albums are the best since 1975 for me. Ou simply must watch the video to Invisible it is great and you will see why there are so many strange noises, also its really the last time Freddie was really moving around a lot
Freddie's voice grew young again because he gave up smoking at this time.
I'm so grateful you have gone through the albums, thats what makes you the best reactor on TH-cam in my opinion x

Queen did write the album. Singles were selected after the album was created. Queen albums are meant to be played start ti finish because that was how we listened to them. Pink Floyd, The Who, Led Zeppelin, Elton John, David Bowie and many others, if you listen to their albums you will see this, there is an ebb and a flow that carries the listener through the entire experience of the album. This is a great album! The Invisible Man sounds to me like something Roger wrote for his kids. Not as much a typical Taylor composition but something he did so his kids could relate to his music a bit.

So many people gave up on Queen after Hot Space but they continued to do a lot of really great music--they just refused to stay in the original box they created. And Hot Space has some really good songs on it as well!!

If you came to Queen later in life, that hard line that divided the first round of fans is far more blurred. There's a whole lot of life going on in those years and their musical choices reflect that.

Funny how much I like "The Invisible Man" as a song and absolutely hate its video (much like It's a Hard Life). Side note: On this album my absolute favorite song is Scandal. Freddie's voice in the last verse gives me chills every time.

I love this album, but the cover art really makes me uncomfortable for some reason. They never lost their rock roots, they just tweaked them for variety!! Roger said the Invisible Man was inspired by the book.
