- I saw this requested a single time and it sounded fun so I'm gonna do it. Shoutout to whoever put the idea in my head, you know who you are.
Hope everyone is enjoying the 2.0 update for star rail as well. I still haven't played much actually but it's been looking pretty good so far. I have another impact 3rd video coming soon and then the genshin dating show is almost done. Hope y'all look forward to it!

Ok so, slight note here. On the right is Bronya as she shows up in "A Post-Honkai Odyssey", a canon time-skip side story.
But on the left is "Bronie", an alternate universe hacker version of Bronya from a non-canon side story (though you could argue everything is canon in the multiverse thing they've got going). Silver Wolf from Star Rail is based on her, and she even has a cameo in SW's trailer in the video game she's playing at the start.

Some timeline notes:
- 50,000 years ago: The Previous Era. The Flame-Chasers are from here. In the Current Era, we meet their Simulations.
- 14th Century CE: Otto Apocalypse and Kallen Kaslana are from here.
- 1952: The First Honkai Eruption. The First Herrscher appears and is captured by Schicksal. He is named Welt Joyce. The North American Branch rebels, becoming Anti-Entropy with Welt as its Sovereign.
- 1955: Otto attempts to annihilate Welt Joyce, and New York with him. Welt Yang inherits the name and the Core of Reason.
- 2000: The Second Honkai Eruption. AE and Schicksal team up to beat Sirin, the Second Herrscher. Many die, including Cecilia Scheriac, Kiana Kaslana's mother. Some time after that, Otto makes a clone out of Sirin and Kiana Kaslana. When he hears of this, Siegfried Kaslana, who has joined AE, and the real Kiana mount a rescue mission. They get the clone, but Kiana is thrown from the shuttle they're using, and is lost. Siegfried raises the clone while wandering and on the run, at least for awhile, but then he leaves her when he realizes his presence might trigger her Herrscher persona's awakening. Kiana drifts.
- 2014: The Third Honkai Outbreak. Raiden Mei, heiress to Massive Electronics and once beloved by her teachers and classmates at Chiba Academy, is ostracized and bullied after her father is accused of embezzlement, and he flees. Mei awakens as the Third Herrscher, only to be suppressed by Kiana. They then attempt to escape from Nagazora together with Bronya Zaychik, an AE agent, and are picked up by Murata Himeko, Captain of the Schicksal Far East Branch flying battleship _Hyperion_ . She takes them to St. Freya High School, which Theresa Apocalypse has set up to train Valkyries in memory of her lost friend Cecilia. Theresa has the girls live with Himeko.
2016: Start of the game. Kiana, Mei, and Bronya are dispatched to intercept the battleship _Selene_ .
2018: End of Part 1, Start of Part 1.5.
2023: Start of Part 2 (version 7.3).
2026: Start of A Post-Honkai Odyssey.
As you can see, the timeline is very sprawling. There are several prequel and supplementary manga. If you only read one, I recommend _Second Eruption_ , which has the events of 2000. Although _Azure Waters_ also explains Bronya's and Seele's background.
Just correcting, the captainverse is cannon, there are mentions of it in the main story, Rosemary Rita has even apeared in the chapters, Bronie is mentioned in the part 1.5 when Chen talks with Prometeus. Its cannon, but is outside of the main story concern, the captainverse connects most of the events indicating that all of it its cannon but the vast mayority are bubble universes
Now I hope you watch the game's PVs / version trailers.
BTW, another reason you might have for liking Eden is that she's responsible for the Flame-Chasers' battle uniforms.
Roza and Liliya are twins, and they have joint attacks and a joint Ult if you field them together. Because of this, I expected Lyney and Lynnette to also have joint talents, and was disappointed when it was revealed they do not.
Theresa is the one who's a clone of Kallen who Otto made in the 1970s. Otto adopted her as his grand-daughter. Which is weird because he wanted to marry Kallen. Good thing Teriri doesn't age... much. If at all. Luna does, but it takes her about a thousand years.

@@RoninBlackwing we can see her growth in the new animated short, also I don't remember when but Theresa sees herself in future older. I think it was at the Spiritual Adam when she started to devour dreams with her Honkai beast power
The luna stuff was more than 1000 years, it was literally the endpoint of time lol
Prometheus is an AI/robot made by the Raiden Mei from the previous civilization, Dr. MEI is the questionably moral scientist behind a lot of the technology that gets used present age for fighting the Honkai, and I'd argue if you wanted to line up personalities Ei from Genshin more matches up with the Dr. Frankenstein vibes and not quite getting people, where Makoto would be the actual Raiden Mei expy.
Either way yeah Prometheus is 50k+ years old, like anyone still around from Previous Era. And no actual connection to Bronya beyond how the central trio of Bronya Mei and Kiana keep finding each other.

I love Vill-V not only because of her character and design, but also because of the role she played in the story and that role is strongly tied with who she is inside and I dont want to rob you of the opportunity to experience that in the story yourself. Though I guess its also not too big of a spoiler if you see all those "she took new day new me way too seriously" memes that are floating around the internet.
I just really like how Hoyo used her character.

@@Cpagan722Two thing you should know about Vill-V.First,she is both a mechanical engineer and a magician at the same time.Second,the real Vill-V in the story has split her mind into a lot of personalities,each one suitable for each situation since she is a genius.Well you could say that Vill-V personalities as the same as Dottore in Genshin except that Vill-V only split her mind and using only one body but Dottore split both his body and personalities

idk if someone said it but on 6:35 the Kiana on the right is Sirin but in Kiana's body and the Sirin on 13:37 is from the captainverse which is a collection of event stories theres a few more characters playable from captainverse but those are just same look diffrent name for example Theresa and Kongming btw Seele has a second personality who's also called Seele but the fandom calls her Veliona and she's Seele recolered to red with minor adjustments (btw Seele and Bronya kissed its cannon you can see it in the azure waters manga or animation)

So in short there are 2 different cast of characters
Main timeline/story and Captainverse side stories
Captainverse side story basically have alternate versions of some characters like the two pics on Yae Sakura. Left one being main timeline Yae Sakura and right one being captainverse Yae Kasumi. So while technically they are different people they are basically alternate versions of each other. This gets more confusing when there are 2 different theresas in captainverse as Konming and Luna with completely different personalities and backgrounds.

Theresa’s body is around 12 but her actual age is around 40, she is also a clone of Kallen that Otto made and is publicly known as his granddaughter.
I once tried to do a smash or pass with this game with my friend and he didn't even let me finish going through the character wheel. He just said smash for all of them
Aunty Teri ❤ she's Otto's granddaughter, effectively Kiana's aunt (not related to either of her parents but she stepped into that role in the family.)
And she's a short adult and no she should very much be in her 30s. Short adults do exist!!!

Have you guys reacted to Honkai Impacts animated shorts? Theyre ingame cutscenes when theres a climax in an arc

@@Cpagan722 These are amazing animations but they are meant to be for the end of an arc or sometimes a trailer for the next arc, but even if you don't plan to play the game these are a great watch. Especially if you watch them with your friends I would love to see how you guys speculate what's happening(Some playlist do have these videos called "Honkai Chronicles" between some shorts that explains the back story of the characters seen in the videos) There are also other short series that are more lighthearted compared to these animated shorts too if you want to react to them too!

I feel like some of these were picked at random (noticing a lot of Year 1-4 designs, which aren't the best), which definitely affected your ratings.
(Also keep in mind that Honkai Impact came out BEFORE Star Rail and Genshin, in 2016. I've had many, _many_ aggressively heated arguments with people who are very much convinced that Honkai Impact copied those games)
Suggestions for better designs:
*Fu Hua:* Azure Empyrea or Garuda
Note: Herrscher of Sentience is a Fu Hua variant but is clearly stated to be her own character (and loved by both the devs and the fanbase, even giving her the most powerful joke weapon in the entire game, a brick), so I wouldn't add her here as a suggestion.
Pay your respects to Grandma Birb, you heathens!
*Seele:* Stygian Nymph (because it shows the other Seele/Veliona, given that only Honkai Impact Seele has this gimmick) or Herrscher Seele
(Trivia: Seele is Estonian, and has a skin where she wears her country's traditional clothing)
*Kiana:* Void Drifter, Flamescion, Promare Crossover outift, or Finality
*Mei:* APHO or Origin
*Kira:* Idol outfit (the "Suisei skin")
*Elysia:* Herrscher form
*Durandal (she's around 18-19 in Part 1, and the reason she was put at 16 was because Otto was doing a bit of trolling with her records):* Dea Anchora
*Rita:* Spina Astera or Fallen Rosemary
*Mobius:* Summer skin (Mermaid)
- Where is Raven? Why would you leave her out? Why would you do that to her? She worked hard for her retirement, and then she just gets bullied because she, like Fu Hua, has a birb theme.
- Pardofelis's design and I quote the devs in the character preview, "....we wanted to give her a wide range of motion, so we made her wear less..."
Note that this was the second or third time the designers/devs showed their degeneracy regarding their character designs, and were memed hard by the playerbase. The first was Elysia with their "...we tightened parts of her dress so we could see her thighs more..." statement.
THE PARDOFELIS EXPLANATION LMAOOOO. These devs are something lol. I did the best I could with just Wikipedia and a list I found on google so not everything was perfect unfortunately. It’s hard being a one man team and all that jazz. I appreciate all the suggestions tho and I will make sure to go over these in my free time since the designs were so nice. Thanks for sharing!

Few more things:
All of the characters have nationalities (not often mentioned but they do every now and then), except those from the Previous Era...mostly because some of them came from the lost continent of Mu (which is most of the Flame Chasers). Most of the playable roster is European, with majority of them being Russian (Bronya, Raven/Natasha, Elysia, Rozaliya, Liliya), or German/Austrian (Kiana, Durandal, Theresa, Misteln). Seele, like I said prior, is Estonian, and Rita is canonically British (specifically from Manchester, which means she does have the local accent but switched to a formal one later on).
On the playable Asian side, majority are Japanese (Kira, Sakura, Mei, Himeko) or Chinese (Fu Hua, Sushang). Susannah is from West Asia (thanks MiHoYo for making it vague as fuck), which consists of countries from the Middle East, Iran, and Turkey (it's likely that she's either Iranian/Persian or Turkish).
If you're wondering about Welt Yang, he's from Finland. His real name is Joachim Nokiavaartanen (his surname is so generically Finnish, I can't). He has a wife and a kid, which he left....

He doesn't actually need to wear glasses, as his eyesight is perfectly normal (after recreating his body the second time during his stint as the Herrscher of Reason, whose powers are to literally create anything and everything as long they understood the make-up of what their creating. He can spawn 300 nukes and an 50 of Himeko's ult if he wanted to, but only settled with a relic that makes black holes in Star Rail). He only wears it because he wants to do the glasses meme.

You really should look their model either in a video ingame, or you yourself look ingame cause most of this are old version (and the characters have different battesuit with each of their own skins), most of the characters in the game start around 15 or 16 years old but due to story progress throughout the years, most of them now are passing 20, theresa though is somewhat confirmed to be 50 years old. So you should try looking them ingame
use William Guba pv trailers playlist, for an overly accurate chronological order of the trailers so that you can enjoy reacting to HI3 if you ever feel like it
same for the Animation shorts use William Guba’s Cg animations playlist just for the Cg animations, or the chronological order of the story playlist, for the chronological order of HI3 in story format, with the animations, cuz why not right?

I'm not sure if you mistook Kiana for Kallen's clone in the video, but just for clarity, the MC Kiana is a clone of the original Kiana who went missing for reasons when she was a child. Kallen's clone is another character.

I’ve gotten some age run downs from fellow commenters don’t worry. I’m also working on a part 2 rn I promise. Someone gave me the characters with alternate battle suits all on one slide so I’m putting those together right now
5:10 the fact that you actually did miss a character lmaoo (her hair color is actually usually grey and the (also grey) one with untied hair is herrscher of sentience/senti, who is very much a seperate, although lore-related character)

Yeah wiki isn't that great to get things. the best way to comprehend the surface of Honkai is to either look in-game or watch the trailers and animated shorts if you don't plan on playing the game (there are chronicles video introducing the game premises + character story too).
What you saw were not all battlesuits but only one variant of it and I think people already answered most of the age question etc.
Hope you will get a bit deeper into it because watching the trailers will completely change both your visions on those characters + seeing their evolution from 1.0 to 7.3

We live in a day and age where people will get mad at you for literally anything on the internet. I’m just trying to minimize damage as I can lol
This game dont have many childs.... also it has time skips.. the story goes from 50000 years ago to the present and into the future.. so most of this character age quite a few years, like 10... that's why bronya it's 16 in one and 25 in other
Durandal is 19 (at the start of the game).. she was 16 in the pre-game story (from manga)... the game starts 3 years after that
Seele is 17 or 18 at the start of the game
Theresa has the body of a 12 year old, but it's +40 at the start of the game. Her powers are sealed, that's why she can't grow
And prometheus is not human(? haha but it's based on young Bronya, so 16 haha
So excluding Lilya and Rozalya, Sirin, bronya and Theresa (she counts bc she isn't just short, it's cannon she has the body of a child) The rest are all adults
This game has such a complex cast of characters and story that it will literally take like 200 hours to actually learn everything. As day 1 veteran i can say that this game changed my life and made who i am. It impacted me THAT much. You should just watch the animation cutscenes you will understand more ore less what i mean by that...
I don't want to go into detail because it would take hours so im gonna end it like this. One thing to mention that I love about this game is how the story is focused on their characters and their developments, their past and their relationships and how it all is affected by everything, it makes it feel alive and complex because you can say that there is no main character, i mean you could say that Kiana is the MC but if you read the story you realize that your are just watching a story unfold instead of being forced things to you like a self insert... I mean we are in the game as a character, we are the capitan of the Battleship Hyperion but we aren't related at all in the story because we are just a capitan and we don't know them so why should we be there interacting with the main cast... well us capitans were good friends with Himeko haha she was a drunkard that loved to drink and we often went together haha she even promised us a dance... men... im sad now

YES, Jedi Griseo goes hard! And shes an SP Valk, so she can be bought in the shop with the normal in game resources at any time (Asterite-shop in case you want to know).

Now for maximum intrigue, i recommend the animated shorts. Especially simce there are a bunch of forms of charas u missed here

@@Cpagan722 cos there are less characters but they go through more forms as the story progresses.
Think dan heng and Imbibitor lunae, but every character in HI3rd goes through that as the story goes on and as they develop and change. The characters are usually not left stagnant, cos the story follows them, and the main story is shaoed by the collection of individual and intertwining stories with each of the wider cast at its center. Unlike in genshin where they tell the story of the world but the characters themselves often do not change or grow outside of their interactions with you.

I really do wanna try the game after all these comments expressing love for it but man it’s hard to fit it into the schedule

Never saw any mention of her while looking through playable characters, and it’s a first time reaction so I went with the first thing I saw the character presented as. Hope that clarifies
@@Cpagan722 She is kinda "Dark Seele" and don't have her own name. And newer battlesuits looks much cooler than standard ones.

@@Cpagan722 Just scroll down the Valkyries roster to Seele section. There you will find her. She still named "Seele", but actually her alter personality, her dark half. You'll definitely see her. Veliona is fan made name.
