I had a perfect view of Kejuan's catch from the south endzone and could see that lane opening up on the Union sideline. I will never forget that moment or the game. Can't imagine there's been a better game in Oklahoma high school football history.
I was in the stands for this game. End zone seats, same end zone that Kejuan ran that last TD catch into with 8 seconds left. The Union defense had 8 defenders on his side, 3 on the other. When he ran that crossing route and caught the ball, there were two blockers in front of him and only had to make one guy miss! It felt like it happened in slow motion watching that last play. Most incredible ending to a football game I've ever attended, such a fantastic game, will never forget it!!
Jenks did kick the crap out of Fort Smith Northside the week before in a rainstorm like 45 - 14 or 3. Union played Clovis East or West at home from California and won 38 - 0 fumbled away 4 scoring chances and returned the game out west winning 45 - 28. To think this was only game number 3 of that season.
Thank u for this upload, I've been looking for this game for about 2 or 3 years now and do u happen to have anymore classic high school games from, Miami Northwestern, South Lake Carroll, Hoover (AL), Mater Dei, De La Salle, Long Beach Poly
I played football for broken arrow during this time. Actually played for Union before. Wasn’t any good. I was looking for this because of spencer macawayne. Or whatever his last name was. Can someone tell me? I went to school with him and played on his team and against him. To this day was the best football player I had ever seen. The kid was fearless. I heard he had passed away from a drug overdose awhile back. I graduated in 03. Does anyone have info on him plz?
I was 2 years younger than him at Union. He did die back in 2007. He only played a little in this game as he was just a Soph, but to play at all as a soph. is rare at a place like Union. He was awesome.
@@ParkerPPipe he went to New Mexico state for football and got hurt and never played football again. I'm pretty sure that injury lead him to pain killers and that's what he o.d. from. I saw him at the county court house not long before he died and it definitely looked like he has been having a rough time.
