I wish ESPN would show more high school football games at night- primarily ones outside of Florida or CA- in the Midwest or Texas. I live in Boston so obviously coverage of those teams is severely limited however I find these teams and places fascinating and entertaining to watch. That was a great game. I damn near watched the entire thing after I realized it was on.

Well Bixby beat jenks in the bounce back game in the semis then destroyed Owasso in the final. The loss to jenks was a come back to reality for them that they could lose.
Yeah. Jenks is the 2nd current best team in post seasons... and the first, overall. They lost to Bixby for 4 or 5 years, straight now. Jenks was bound to get a surprise victory sooner or later. They usually win when no one expects it. Too bad it had to be the televised game where Bixby defense looked terrible. Lol

Jenks has a demon strategy. Play to the level of their opponents, no matter how good or bad the opposing team is, during the regular season to make themselves look mediocre. They even lost to Union and came close to losing to Broken Arrow... Then, good teams sleep on Jenks while jenks goes full throttle. They've shown how easy and quickly they can score when they needed to. Its like they play in idle mode most of the season, and break out the good plays in big games.
Great game, good win by Jenks. Bixby still turned around and beat them in the revenge game in the playoffs.. I'm from ponca city and I know our high school team is mediocre and has just now started getting decent because of the coaching they've been bringing in. So I really enjoy watching and keeping tabs on all the other teams in 6a-2

If Bixby could've just snagged that last onside kick (that wasn't shown) they would've gone and won this game
They actually got lucky bcuz Bixby fumbled the ball towards the end of the game and the refs missed it.

Looks like Union is the team to beat. But both these teams will be a factor. Dispite getting blown out but Union Jenks may still meet them again and might win. Bixby may still win it all. To be continued.

Jenks has lost to Union in the regular season before and beat them in the state title game. Losing to them early doesn't matter and doesn't gaurantee anything in the playoffs.
@@BlessedDonn Jenks always plays better in the late season. Look at literally every other game Bixby has played. They completely demolished EVERY OTHER team WAY worse than Union has. While Union is Scoring in the 30's-40'srange .. Bixby is scoring in the 60's plus .. The Jenks game was a fluke. If you watched the game you will see that Jenks scored mostly on busted defensive plays, and Bixby was coming back, would have won too if they just had a few more minutes.
Bixby is still the most likely to win. Their only close game was a 3 point loss in a moderately high scoring game.. Jenks came at Bixby with everything. Bixby got caught sleeping... still almost came back from 3 scores behind to win against a team they've beaten 3 years in a row prior to that. Union is very good, but they don't completely wreck teams like Bixby does. I bet anything they will come into these next two games hot N' heavy.

Yes, that offense is hard to deal with but a team with high calibre talent and discipline can shut it down.
Several teams in AZ run this offense. It tends to be unstoppable in their own region but not once you face the top teams in the state

Bixby hadn't loss since 2018 including beating Jenks the last 3 years.
the thing is bixby had beaten Jenks 3 years in a row, including a 57-7 beatdown in 2019.
Bixby has surpassed Jenks. Not in History or Championships (yet)... but they are clearly a more powerful team nowadays. Jenks is nearly twice the size of Bixby, and the players are bigger, but the coaching and training at Bixby is completely unrivaled in Oklahoma.
