Isn’t this video just the cutest?! Such a shame Freddie was so ill at this point! He was in such pain here! But he and the band went through all this trouble just to give us fans the joy of seeing them do this! Rest in peace, Freddie. Freddie and Queen forever! ❤️

In this video Freddie was so sick that in between takes he could barely stand. He was in so much pain at the end. You couldn’t tell because he was dedicated to his music and fans that he kept going til the very end.

I think you're mistaking when he was weak with "These Are the Days" video! THAT's the video where he had trouble standing...let alone waking. Forget about him dancing and prancing all around.

@@Motown-1966 you're right. There's a video of them recording that and you can see him limping off the set.
When it shows him off set watching a playback on the screen I think he asks is he doing too much moving around.
      Gotta love him ❤️

A must listen is "Death on Two Legs". Freddie is spitting venom at their former manager who screwed them over. It's from their 4th album, A Night at the Opera. This album ended with Bohemian Rhapsody.

I feel like we all feel like this sometimes, and the fact that there's actually a song / video to encapsulate that feeling is delightful. I think Queen have a song for just about anything you can possibly think of. Even their strangest songs are fantastic.

this is one of the 3 songs By Queen that makes me sad.. it is "happy" song but theres a sadness in it he was very ill, and he had only a short time left. that adds to the surrealness

Queen is well known for their incredible lyrics. But they are also capable of tongue in cheek. Songs not to be taken too seriously and enjoyed for what they are. Artistic expression one might say. As I have said before. Diversity at its finest. Another request for you to dig into early Queen. Cheers!

  • @Chinachik

I love this video, too! It's so creative and even though Freddie was very ill during this era, I try to remain focused on what has been said about this song behind the scenes, because he was referring to some of the side effects of his medication and how it made him feel mentally, and even through all that, he still had the sense of humor that allowed him to laugh about it. That's what this song and video make me think of. It's like a way, even from the after life, for Freddie to give his family, friends and fans a reason to smile. :)

Innuendo is classic Queen in my opinion. Really captures the Queen sound and is one of my all time favorite Queen songs. But here is the crazy thing. As brilliant as Innuendo is it might not even make my top 10 Queen songs. Not from any weakness in the song. Just the depth of amazing songs Queen has produced over the years.

Thank you so much for doing this song, as funny as it is, it still makes me cry knowing how sick he was at the time. As others mentioned, he was pretty much singing about his aids-related dementia. It so sad that if it happened nowadays he may have survived. I lost my brother in law around the same time we lost Freddie, and from the same illness. Back then aids was an immediate death sentence. Freddie was in a category of his own, nobody will ever match him, he was a once in a lifetime talent, We miss you so much Freddie RIP

This video was meant to be funny, one of the last appearances of Freddy Mercury on camera ("Those are the Days of Our Live"s being his last) The back and white footage along with Freddie's wild hair and heavy makeup was done to try and hide his illness, this video was shot in February 1991, 9 months before his death. The fact that he could even do this video was mind boggling considering how sick Freddy was at this point.

Thanks for reacting to Queen's Slightly Mad. This was the first time I had seen the video in its entirety and first I listened to the song as well. I enjoyed it. It had kind of an eerie theme to it as Freddie played that slightly mad character reminding me of The Rocky Horror Picture Show.

This was about Freddie's fear of HIV Induced Senility and losing his memories because of his Illness, the Daffodils part had something to do with the Daffodil having something to do with the fast approaching of Death

If you're interested in the specific songs they're going to play in the movie the list/soundtrack has already been released. Here it is in relatively chronological order (if they play them that way, although they might play them to fit the movie narratives rather than when they were written) and there is an x after the ones that you have reacted to already or just reacted to:
1 Doing Alright from Queen, their first Album, but written before Freddie joined the band.
2 Keep Yourself Alive, their first single, also off from Queen.
Nothing played off of the second album, an absolutely great one, Queen II :(
3x Killer Queen, their first top 10 single, off of Sheer Heart Attack, their third album.
4 Now I'm Here, also off of Sheer Heart Attack.
5 Love Of My Life, from A Night At The Opera, their fourth, and best album, IMO. They play a live version; the live versions of this great song are more famous, for good reason, as you might see in the movie, but the studio version is just as excellent in different ways, IMO.
6x Bohemian Rhapsody, no explanation needed... I'm surprised they didn't play Death On Two Legs, also from A Night At The Opera, as that song is biographical and seems to fit the movie, oh well.
7x Somebody To Love from A Day At The Races, their underrated fifth album.
8x We Will Rock You from News Of The World, their sixth album.
9x We Are The Champions, which is almost always played immediately after We Will Rock You, also from News Of The World, although the version on the soundtrack is the Live Aid version, around 8 years after the song came out.
10 Don't Stop Me Now, a fan favorite, from Jazz, their seventh album.
11x Fat Bottomed Girls, also from Jazz, but they play a live version.
12x Another One Bites The Dust, from The Game, their eight album and first number 1 hit in the US.
13x Crazy Little Thing Called Love, also from The Game and the second of two number 1 hits in the US.
Nothing from their ninth album, Flash Gordon; they're are a lot of fans of this album/old sci-fi movie soundtrack, me not so much ;)
14x Under Pressure, from Hot Space, their tenth album.
15x I Want To Break Free, from The Works, their eleventh album.
16 Radio Gaga, from The Works, and the only Roger Taylor song on the soundtrack, but this is the amazing Live Aid version, a year later.
17 Hammer To Fall, also from The Works. Their performance at Live Aid features quite a bit of their work on The Works, their current album that they were promoting at the time.
18 They also play a bit called Ay-Oh, which is the famous stadium crowd interaction that Freddie does.
19 And of course they play the Live Aid version of the title song, Bo Rhap.
The movie ends on this high note (their Live Aid performance, this has been revealed already by many reviewers, so not mean to spoil or anything), rather than the more darker and depressing events that were to follow, so that's basically it in terms of their music, and there probably wasn't enough time to play something off of all fifteen albums anyway.
20 Who Wants To Live Forever, from A Kind Of Magic, their twelfth album. This was actually written after Live Aid, so i'm a bit surprised it was included, but it probably fits the narrative of the movie.
Nothing from their thirteenth album, The Miracle :(
21 The Show Must Go On, from Innuendo, their fourteenth and last album with Freddie still alive. A very suitable song to end the song (assuming as i haven't seen the movie yet either).
And nothing from Made In Heaven, their fifteenth and final album featuring all four members :(
From the soundtrack, there appears to be about 9 songs you haven't heard/reacted to yet. At least in full as they played bits of some of their earlier stuff in the Days Of Our Lives documentary that you reacted to so far. Also, if you react to their entire Live Aid performance, that is probably close to about 1/4 of the movie or so based on the soundtrack and what we've seen in the marketing/trailers. But i don't know if they're going to essentially play the entire Queen performance at Live Aid in the movie and i'm not sure if it's better to have a first time reaction of Live Aid to be from the movie or the real historical event. The movie is supposed to be very faithful to it though...

Freddie was very ill at this point. He was in a lot of pain and his legs were a mess, to the point he could barely stand. He would have to prop himself up between takes and drink vodka to deaden the pain. His very last video was "These Are the Days". His last recorded song was "Mother Love". Brian May finished the last stanza of that song because Freddie died before he could finish the recording. You would never know how close to death he was when you listen to that song.

This new generation of music is unusual. Theres no real depth. It's all based on superficiality and sex. The older stuff would make you ponder deep thoughts. Awaken your philosophical nature. There was hidden meaning and it spoke to you. Not like today. I like alot of music today because its catchy, but I cant really call many artists. They are performers. Big difference.

@Paco Fernández Jimmy was a Huge Beatle fan.
He picked up Lennons 3 finger ukelele fret style tha John used on his early track I Call Your Name , for that dirty sound.

See if there is a small community radio station near you. Go volunteer there. Earn a spot, and introduce this music to others of your generation. It could be a good start to something better.

In this video Freddie's being funny about his deteriorating health thats driving him mad. Its proof his greatness & using his tragic illness (HIV positive) to come up with something entertaining. He's such a brave great human being!

According to Brian May, the penguin actually pooped on the couch during the filming. The scene was cut.

As much as I enjoy Queen's music, unfortunately he is on record as saying he didn't want to go to Heaven because of all the interesting people one would meet in Hell and the song "Great King Rat" is pretty much a tribute to satan. I can imagine Freddie was going mad. It is so tragic as Freddie was a truly talented singer/performer.

Please can you react to Mother Love, it was the last vocals Freddie ever recorded, only roughly a month or so before he died. He couldn't even finish the whole song. He did the first two verses and couldn't manage doing the last one that day. He never got to come back and finish it. It's pretty heart wrenching when you suddenly hear Brian singing the 3rd verse, you know it's because Freddie has died. It's a moving end to a legend's life. The sped up part right near the end, is a short sample of every single song Freddie ever recorded with Queen speeded up. As you've reacted to many Queen songs, can you please do this one.

Hmmm, about the video's matching the songs... perhaps you should react to Lover Boy by Billy Ocean. Great song, and the video, well, someone was smoking something....

Freddie was really rather sick with aids here. That’s why they made it this funny video with lots of hair, makeup, costume, and in black and white to distract from Freddie’s sickly appearance! Oh, my darling Freddie!! The video is still very funny and those vocals tho, amazing!!

Further to my earlier comment...trying to have people understand how good Queen was, is like trying to explain how good Bradman was to cricket. Words just don't cut it
