  • In June 2013, Southern Alberta was devastated by intense rainfall causing multiple communities, including the Town of High River to be significantly affected by flood waters. Planning for the reconstruction of downtown began in the fall of 2013. As a result of a 26 km long wastewater main video camera in assessment, it was identified that the downtown area had major issues with the wastewater infrastructure.
In combination with the potential failures of the infrastructure, and the need for revitalization of the community, CIMA+ started planning to strategically reconstruct the downtown. Closely following the newly completed Area Structure Plan (ASP) completed by O2 Planning + Design, CIMA+ provided design engineering and construction management services for three phases of construction in the downtown core of High River.
