I've always tended to avoid Panasonic CD players due to the lasers being unobtanium these days, but that mech looks a much better design than the Sonys of the era and in fairness I've never seen one with a knackered laser! Nice vid , subscribed - and greetings from the other Newcastle (UK).

I recently had to give up on a Technics 5 disk carousel repair. I've found Sony's to be OK, but Technics have all been easy to fix (so far).
