  • Thanks to a good ol' chap on the VFR Facebook group who makes stainless oil cooler pipes, I've had the chance to replace my old and corroded ones with some absolutely stunning replacements.
    Watch as I replace my existing pipes and find a few issues with my original oil cooler. All hurdles to overcome in the progress towards making my blue beauty the best she can be.

    Just the right amount of information with no waffling. Very well presented with the camera in the right place always for a clear video. Keep up the good work you have a skill.

    Great job. Thanks. I really enjoy your down-to-earth vids.
    You could have blown out the crud that was stuck in the fins with compressed air. Also, I think I would have gone for a test ride before putting the fairing back on just to be sure there were no leaks.

    • @vfourcruza7744
      @vfourcruza7744  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Unfortunately I don't have access to compressed air in my back garden, but I did do my best to get all the crud out with the tools I had available. You'll be glad to know she's still running and keeping cool when she needs to.

    I had one of these K&N oil filters blow up on me with my vfr.. the can burst right open. First time that it happened, i used dozens of these. Costumer support was great, got a new filter and 5L synthetic oil free of charge for the inconveniance.

    The high flo are good filters that's all il use personally, or a Honda 1 obviously. I also had to change my own cooler pipes. Mine is so much handier done on the 6th gen tho haha.

      I've had real bad experience with the k&n ones with the nut on top, so it's just made me stay away from all of them that have a nut on top, hiflo does make them without the nut though and I've used them before, they're definitely good filters 😁

    Why remove nose fairing? it's a 5th Gen, not a crappy V-tech 6th Gen.
    All u need to remove is both side fairings & front mudguard, it's really easy job to drain oil & remove oil cooler pipes... curious as to how much u paid for these pipes?

    How are you liking your Michelin PR? Somewhere this season im gonna have to buy new rubber, currently running BT023 Front and rear
    PS the 'oem honda oil filter' is actually a Hiflo one. From the factory the bikes came with them. But i do agree with you on the nut filters, just get the regular ones, but hi flo is good stuff!

    That exhaust system is probably the best thing on the bike even with the nice new oil cooler pipes! Are the new ones stainless steel?
    It's probably a bit late now, but the bike should have had liberal coatings of ACF50 to protect it from corrosion. Could you not get the oil cooler re-cored? Do Mocal do one that would fit?
    You need a tripod for your camera.
