- Had a blast fishing inshore and just a little on the beach south of St. Augustine, Florida in the Matanzas River Inlet. Watch as I throw the Slam Shady paddle tail swim bait in tidal currents and pools landing four different species (Jack Crevalle, Blue Fish, Speckled Trout, and Flounder). Tons of good fishing information in this video for the land based inshore angler. Tight lines and enjoy the hot bite!
Thank you for recycling the heads of your bait ~ so appreciate you!!!
I fished at the bridge growing up every weekend. I am in North Carolina now. I sure miss fishing there. Thanks for the video.
Coolove fishing matanzas inlet, water always looks nice down there. 👍
I miss the walleye fishing in Colorado but I'm enjoying the wide variety of fish in Florida.. nice video man!
Rattlesnake island can produce some great catches. Nice video the intro is cool. I just subbed.
Thanks! I plan on hitting it often through out the year to see what fish are moving through when.
Bluefish are very tasty. Bleeding them is key.
Love fishing matanzas!!

More videos like this please. Thanks Chappy (miss ya bro)
Good to hear from you. Plenty more Florida fishing videos to come. Hope all is well dude.

That jack was a crevalle great vid I have fished there many many times
I found paradise fishing the saltwater flats in Florida. Had my chance to live there permanently but as many of you with family know if it’s not important to them it doesn’t matter how important it is to you. Maybe in another life
Great video!!!
awsome fishing skill bro
One way to tell the jack from pompino is that the jack (as that one was doing) will grunt a lot when you catch it.
That was a good day on the water, what side of the inlet was this at?
Great video Was this video in March 2021 ?
Great Video. Where exactly are you at o the Matanzas? If you don't mind me asking. thanks
Inlet
Im gonna be in Beverly beach real soon, looks like our house is very close to Matanzas, should i be thinking about fishing here compared to the surf, which, will be our backyard for a week. Any tips would be greatly appreciated! Oh Yeah Subbed!
Go back home, you don’t know what a Jack Crevalle is!! Just kidding I’m from that area and glad you enjoyed yourself and was respectful of our wildlife
Nice video brooo💯
Thanks had a blast making it!
Question: How clear is the water at the beaches in the St Augustine area? Is it clear blue water or murky?
A mixture of all depending on the day. Most times it’s more so a really dark aqua or really dark bluish green like color on a bright sunny day.
Exactly like in this video
@@Jayhal278 Thank you. Clarifying question, what is the visibility like -- at the beaches -- can you see what's in the water or is it a bit murky with limited visibility. We once visited Tybee Island and were surprised at the brown muddy water.
You can barely ever see what’s in the water around that area, unless it’s closer to the surface. The waters usually darker.
A difference between the water off of the gulf or either further south towards the keys.
When is the best time to fish this spot ?
New moon
Did some grest fishing out here tbe other day
Jack Crevalle
Jack cravalle
Great fishing. About 100 Frenchmen were slaughtered here on the beach in the 1500's by the Spanish.
Jack crevelle I think
Soak blues in milk 30 mins and fry best eatin
That’s a fluke
Why do you breath so heavily kinda annoying
Jack cravalle
Ive caught reds and flounder off that point using mud minnows
