A real nice car. I like the simplicity of regular cars from this era.

This is no ordinary car. In the 1930s, it was the only car on earth that could drive for more than an hour.

My first car was a used 1964 white VW Beetle. Great car and great memories. I could fill the gas tank for $ 3.00 and drive it for two weeks!

Beetles are a lot of fun. Values have skyrocketed for nice ones that have been well cared for.

1967 was a great year for the Beetle. The increased engine size and HP made it quick back in the day. A friend had one and took great pride in beating the typical compact cars then including Ford Falcons and the like. I had a Mercury Comet which he seriously humbled as he took off like I was standing still from a light. I was in serious awe of this Beetle.

My '68 was a very happy little car. She enjoyed going out to play with the other vehicles on the road. What she enjoyed most was when I would get her on a highway on-ramp. You could just feel her excitement building up as we gathered speed to enter. By the time her speedo swept past 60, she was doing her automotive impression of Muhammad Ali: "FLOAT LIKE A BUTTERFLY, STING LIKE A BEETLE!" Passing a Hyundai Excel on the road, she would extend a front fender and call out, "HEY, SUCKA! YA MAMA'S A MITSUBISHI!" (For those who may not know, the earlier Hyundais were equipped with Mitsubishi powertrains.) Out of reluctant necessity, I had to give her up because I needed a new truck for my work. My '00 Toyota Tacoma was a good, faithful friend, but he wasn't as fun as my VW.

Way more reliable than today's cars with all the complicated electronics, software and unnecessary features. So easy to fix as well. If there's something wrong it's so easy to figure out where the fault lies.

I’ve had the pleasure of owning three Beetles and one Westphalia. The Beetle was the best selling car in history. I’m almost sure that if they brought it back with the same body style as this with a bit more oomph, it will be a best selling again. I’m sure many, including myself, are fed up with all the stupid unnecessary technology today. I would buy one in a heartbeat. Let’s put the FUN back into driving.

My first Beetle was a '63 Ragtop. I received so much attention; many people did not know about a ragtop. My friends loved the big hole (ragtop sunroof) in the roof. I called it my little Porsche b/c Mr. Porsche designed it (His son designed the 911). Now there are companies that convert them to EVs. So my guess is, they're not going away anytime soon.

The '67 Beetles are something very special! I own a 1967 Volkswagen Beetle 1300, which still has 100% of its first paintwork. It has never been welded and of course the first engine and gearbox are still installed. The interior is also still original and in remarkable condition. Simply a wonderful car! If you're interested, I have a few videos on my channel. Regards
