    Nice video. I don’t blame you for not coming to Schneider Bulk. And what’s crazy is that no matter how much you complain to dispatch about lack of miles or low pay… they never have an answer for you. Silence. It’s like they’re programed to just not care. But if you’re running late for that delivery, they’re calling you instantly.

      That’s ridiculous. I was going to start with them a year ago. They pay just wasn’t there. The training was great. But I’ve accumulated bills in trucking so I had to slide on ‘em

    I understand the need for experience I truly do. Your life along with others life are at risk so that’s a no brainer. What I don’t agree with is the idea that new truck drivers shouldn’t be worried about pay. Everyone’s situation is different but if you’re an adult over 25 you should already be used to making a certain dollar amount . I’m coming from the cellular sales field where I am currently salaried at 50k a year. With me getting my CDL soon I will not settle for anything less as I am already struggling as it is at 50k a year. My license will go dormant before I settle for anything less, personally.

    I went local pretty fast and went into food service. Been doing that a few years now and we get paid component pay, it weeds out the lazy guys pretty fast. We make really good money, I cant complain. Our facility isnt like other food service companies, we load by the stop and use small pallet jacks that fit into door ways, coolers and freezers. Its not perfect we still have to ramp some but it sure helps. CPM is definitely a rip off, I drove flatbed for Roehl and I hated it.

  • @Ball.Daily11

    Honestly your miles ahead of most drivers. Mega carriers will always pay the least. Tanker work rates are high. I got my start in primes tanker division and the shipper messed up and put the rate con on the bol and it said they paying 8k for 621. These carriers getting too dollars for tanker work. Don’t let these companies underpay you.

    Gemini is fine if you wanna work weekends and holidays I’ve been out here 42 years yanking tanks for 30 and they all have their ups and downs but I would not pull the tanker for less than $.70 a mile so if you’re pulling a tanker for 50 $.60 a mile You need to stay home and if you pull hazmat, you need to make $.70-$.80 a mile

      @@thevnltrucker I got into a contract with the mindset of doing the year then getting tf out, but I broke it after 1 month. That 500/week training pay had me rethinking things. I passed my road test and went home, but never came back. I want to do local however I can but all the jobs in my area are full. I tried CDL B jobs but those are full, too. Should I just go back OTR with the company that paid for my CDL? They constantly send me msgs about positions.

      @scottjones6556 r&l and abf are doubles. Doubles not for everyone. Gemini is otr & regional from my location, I'm not sure they're offering per hour. For ups, everybody can't get in ups let alone them drivers aren't leaving. These trucking companies stopped paying per hour a long time ago. Cpm is not a scam. Just gotta know how to run it. So if you get paid an hour, how much an hour?

    • @Tyrone950
      @Tyrone950 2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @scottjones6556 XPO governed. I passed them all the time. Not bad outfits, but you gotta live within your means, invest, do their 401k fully funded, stay low, and a driver can live a decent life.

      OK, I see you’re new here so I’ll introduce myself. Since you’re new to the trucking industry, money is the first thing you’re going to be interested in & I understand that. The people on this page know that I do not get into my money specifically because there’s too many “subjective potholes”. If I tell people I make 150 K what do you think they’re gonna do? Apply to the job and then get mad when they can’t make 150 K.
      The moral of the video is to find a place that supports your bills and your needs. My expenses will never be yours and yours will never be mine. I’m not here for views specifically.. people find my page from other areas. Just like you did

    All these trucking companies are the same. Some of ya'll out here getting scammed, tho. I've seen ads paying 55cpm & 60cpm. But you still a company driver until you get your own authority, your own truck & trailer (title clear) and till then, you gone go where they tell you and do what they say. In trucking, you don't get it your way only at Burger King. If you aint turning them steers, go home & go broke bc you will get replaced. There is no time for complaining. You only get paid when freight is delivered. This is how the game is.
