This is such a cool series 👏 You could chip and stock pile the chips in your yard. Then when it comes to sell, you could get a conveyor belt system to reload your trailer 💪 Edit - could store them in a bunker maybe. So it’s not just a pile a brown stuff on the ground 😂
If you are going to keep chipping away at it (pun definitely intended), I highly recommend upgrading the trailer. Well, trading it in for a bigger one. Brantner Power Tube TR 34090 without extension will work with the chipper you have now (I am using it in a base game no mods test run in that configuration), and holds 30 cubic meters according to the equipment purchase page. The down side is it costs $65.5k for it (the extension adds another 5k to the cost, but makes it harder for the chipper output to work). It is expensive, but with the amount of chips you can carry in one load, should pay for itself in a couple of runs, especially during peak chip season. With the extension, the capacity moves from 30 to 46 cubic meters, which I think moves it from 30,000 liters, to 46,000 liters. That, plus the extra that is kept in the chipper until there is trailer space, should help on your chip runs.
@@hugz6559 forestry is my favorite part of the game. Love the wood chipper. Love it more that I found out (here) they the tipping trailer can be connected to the chipper.
When are you going to do factories like sawmill or carpentry.. I know you are going with a proper storytelling but It would make your life little bit easier Btw love your videos 💕💕
Thanks so much! For season 1 I am keeping it solely as no productions but for season 2 I am going to open up them up for sure! I also need to figure out what map we're going to do for season 2!
@@hugz6559 Could also consider paper making, like in the River Bend map. It doesn't have to be a game map, you could stick with the one you are working right now.
If you get a tractor with three point linkage on both back and front, then you could put a stump grinder up front and a winch on the back, that way you could haul and grind at the same time. Also the number of stumps will start to big down your game as well.
It does, but it also makes shrinking your available funds even easier. In the interim, there is a head unit that fits the Kubota for just such a situation, for a fraction of the cost. Stump cutter Prinoth SF90 is 27k The cheaper of the 2 TMC Cancela mulchers, which not sure if they can take out stumps, is 23k. Skid Steer stump cutter, 2.5K More work going from stump to stump with the last, but if you are valuing dollars spent over time spent, not a hard decision to make.
@@hugz6559 I know that a bunker works with the whole chaff/silage "production", but it might work as a spot to collect wood chips as well. To get them back out later, use conveyors. Plus they are relatively easy to move around in, the biggest one is anyway.
@Hugz If you are using the forestry mod (I think you are) and you hold left alt while using the chainsaw you can delete those berry bushes you hate so much.

Great idea :)
Dude. That’s a really cool way to use the yarder, I never even considered using that piece of equipment lol
You may have trouble making big piles of logs, but you certainly can make a big pile of wood chips ;)
You are most certainly right about that :) Be sure to watch the next episode lol.
When using the winch, drag them completely to you and then lift it. Keeps them off the ground so they won’t get stuck or less likely anyway.
Thanks for the tip! I'll definitely give that a try.

Love the series. Started my own zero to hero forestry play. I just got my skidsteer and log fork.
Nice! Its a lot of work but very satisfying.

I use your yarder setup but also used two sets of metal fencing set up like a funnel to guide the trees as they come in so they don't get all wonky.
Its pretty nice right? I use it a TON in the next episode lol.
@hugz6559 yeah it's great. Almost like cheating

Buy the lumbermill and sell the planks, and also keep dping woodchips. The lumbermill gets you some passive income
His rules prohibit productions
Woodchips we will do for sure :) I cannot do productions in this challenge though. Season 2 I will be able to though!
you can also load whole trucks like this
Just got deja vu. Very close to the end of the vid.
Yeah too many logs piled into each other will get really jittery, physics going nuts with all those collisions around them 🤔

Yes I think between the stumps and logs I definitely hit the threshold on this episode. Thanks for the tips!
The large foestry mulcher makes stump grinding a breeze

Loving the series! Can you just dump wood chips on your own yard then pick up and sell later or build your own sale point on your yard?
Definitely can dump in the yard. I just need to buy a couple more pieces of equipment to load it up off the ground.

If I was u with how many stumps u have i would use the mulcher on the froont of the tractor gets rid of stumps fast

You keep saying spruce pines instead of scotch pines at random times. You'll have it correct one minute and then incorrect the next.
Believe me, I hear it while editing for hours on end lol. I just always mess that tree name up.
@hugz6559 It's funny that you don't even notice as you say it. It makes me laugh, so you have some accidental comedy going.
Maybe it's better to force dump the wood chips on your yard than multiple logs making the game lag
I was thinking maybe I could put down a bunker or shed for storage so it doesn't feel like they are just chilling out in the open. What do you think?
Maybe you could find some mods for wood chips bunkers
MOD Burtovik sorry not Burtivic
I have a weird boredom threshold, id spend entirely too much time chasing the deer with the kabota to see if you can jam em in the woodchipper
i may have chased one or two with my truck. 😂
