Your dry humor and meme jumpscares in the middle of an otherwise serious video are integral to what made your channel stick out to me. Been watching you since you had like 30k subs.
As Jardier said you are a huge insperation to many. Yourself, Jardier and Jimmer are the reason I got into sim racing at 54, I am so happy to all 3 of you on your racing journey, you guys are perfect Ambassadors for sim racing and all deliver your unique take on it. I wish you all the best for your future.
Hello Super GT--viewer here! I've been watching you since the legendary "Shameful Ramming Attempts" video. It's always been a source of comfort and the driest humor of all time (which I love). Cheers on your continued growth; it's been beautiful to watch.
Same, and I was never even interested in racing. But that video drew me in, and suddenly I started learning about how it works, seeing how exciting it can be, and then I get to see that dry humor virtual racer guy start racing in real life with exactly the two other YT racing guys I started watching.
Steve, my dream is to be a professional drive in the FIA World Endurance Championship, im a competitive sim racing driver, and i justw anted to say that your the person who inspires me to keep pushing for that seat in wec. Thank you steve, your a legend.
I've commented many times how your content changed my life but here it goes again. I struggled with addiction for a long time. I tried many times to get clean but failed miserably. When I found your channel, I didn't even know about sim racing. I was immediately hooked and having something to pour my time and energy into was crucial in keeping me sober. I'm now 7 years clean and have an awesome sim rig; something I could never have afforded in the past. Seeing you succeed in racing reminds me of how far I've come. Thank you for all you do Steve. You quite literally may have saved my life.
You are literally the reason I invested in a DD wheel. Only 1 video on my channel but if I learn anything from this I think I should be okay. Love everything you do and my Mrs literally calls me sad when I get excited for your live streams 🤣
You and Jimmy Broadbent are absolutely the reason I have a full sim rig and spend so much of my time churning laps. Watching your videos opened my eyes to how much fun it could be. I owe you thanks for that. My wife okayed the $5k I spent getting it all set up, so I owe her more thanks, but I never would've even known about this hobby without you two.
Long time viewer, first time commenter. You're modest when you say you originally stood out largely because few people were doing what you were doing. The reason you've always stood out is because you also just seem like a good guy. That alone is unusual in the youtube gamer space. I'm sure I'm not just speaking for myself when I say that watching you transition into real world racing, and then actually being good at it too, makes all of us who've been with you for a long time incredibly proud. You deserve your success mate.
Words of encouragement, positive energy, and unwavering dedication to spreading fun and motivation have been and still are truly inspirational. I would say that the amazing Sim Racing community has in part been built by yourself, and I'm so grateful to be a part of it. Keep doing what you do, because you are changing lives for the better. Thank you for being such a powerful force of inspiration! Sparks x
There are a lot of sim racers out there, but Steve and Jimmy have always stood out as the cream of the crop. Hope you both (plus Misha and Manuel) get a podium this weekend at the N24!
you've honestly inspired me to start racing, I may be late at 17 but I want to make it to either gt4 or gt3, I have a racing insta page already and posting sorta race reports and I'm starting to film races to make some sort of content on when I get the confidence to do voiceovers😅. you are honestly such a great guy, thank you
Just heard about that mishap at the Ring, i am very sorry for you. You are just a human too, and mistakes do happen. I just hope you keep up the good work and come back stronger the next N24. Looking forward seeing you support the team from the pits, make the best of it and keep your head up mate;)
Steve, you provide me with some of the best entertainment possible, and it's much needed working 90+ hours a week building race cars for customers. You're an excellent driver and your racing is so thrilling to watch, the humor has me rolling, and I'm always proud to wear your merch and hope someone asks about it so I can tell them your incredible story. I look forward to each and every video. I think I speak for a lot of people when I say we are so proud of your determination and dedication. Cheers mate 🤝
I'm glad to say, I've been here since you started playing GT Sport - I played GT4 as a kid and haven't had time to play/buy the future games, so I wanted to find someone who played the GT games, and found your channel eventually! Been subscribed ever since; you're a testament to those who succeed in pursuing one's own passion. Cheers!
Steve, I consider you and Jimmer the OG of sim racing. Discovering you guys made me say I want to do sim racing. I appreciate all of the sim, karting, and special event videos. Watching your journey from part-time sim racer to now full-time sim racer/racing driver has been great. It's a success that's well deserved, I'm glad to be a part of the journey!
You cant hate this guy, Steve has an calm Charakter in combination with his professionalism which is really enjoyable to listen to. Keep it up man we want to see you further up ! 🫡 Love from Germany ❤️
Having watched a couple of videos in 2017-ish for the first time, you honestly got me into racing and cars as a whole so much more than I already was. Because of you I've been actively watching more motorsport series, bought my own simrig and pretty much turned into the massive car-nerd I am today. It's been so humbling to watch you and this channel grow. Thank you so much for your amazing content Steve, don't you dare ever stop yeah!
I've played driving games since Revs back in The Middle Ages and have been reasonably decent at them but leaned more towards arcade racers. Since I started watching SuperGT I've learned an absolute shedload that's made playing driving games way more fun but also made me way better. This is a channel that can teach an old dog new tricks. Fair play Steve
I am following you for like 3/4 years now and I enjoy every bit of all of your videos. Due to you I also got into racing and bought my first steering wheel (Thrustmaster T248) and my pc last year and I enjoy every second of it. Thank you so much for everything ❤ Keep the good work and get that million subscribers!
What Steve said at the end of the video about making motorsport and racing games more approachable is so relatable to me. I had never played racing games before until following the buildup of the release of GT7. I knew the game looked fun from the previews which led me to this channel. Watching Steve's enjoyment for the game and watching the professional GTWS inspired me to buy the game, and now I am a big fan of motorsport in general. So thanks Steve, this channel is great.
Thanks for this video. I am in a similar position as you were when you were contemplating quitting your job and going full time on youtube. I make much more money on youtube, but the fact that my channel can be terminated at any point without warning scares me. On the other hand, working a full time job leaves me with very little time for youtube
I love what you have done. I'm an old guy that spent boat loads of time on a PC based GT racing sim back in the late 90's. I had the force feedback wheel and pedals. I loved it !! Working out tire pressure and brake bias on different tracks and I got really good. There is nothing boring about Racing if you can translate the experience effectively whether it's in Sim or IRL. This is what you have done. While there is no physical threat when Sim racing, Your heart rate will go UP in a massive spike, Your grip on the wheel and determination to "manage" the situation to not only survive, but come out ahead. This is what it's all about. Love your channel. Can you hook up a heart monitor and show it during your races ? It would be absolutely Wild.
Been a follower of your content for around 4 years and have absoltely loved watching your channel and you grow, congrats for the hard work you've done and all you've achieved. One piece of feedback, would love to hear commentary on your future GT4 videos, appreciate thats a new challenge but I;m sure you can pull it off!
I'm not a huge racing fan so what I enjoyed about your karting videos is that when someone made a mistake and you capitalized on it, the speeds were 'slow enough' that I could see and better understand the skills involved in motorsport racing.
You’re an inspiration Steve, I remembering watching you before 2019 when you were still playing on controller. You were great then and even better now.
I bought GT7 (controller) on a whim one day then found your channel shortly after. Since then I got into sim racing (GT DD Pro) and fell in love with F1. Got to go karting not long ago for the first time and it was such a fun experience to see how the sim racing skills transferred. I owe you a lot man. Cheers!
Your sense of what's boring seems to overlap well with my tastes, as your videos have stayed interesting and entertaining for years now. You have definitively made me understand and appreciate the nuances of competitive racing on a much deeper level, both online and IRL. Let's see where the future takes you!
Steve, a year ago I didn't care about sim racing, f1, or cars in general. Over the past 6 months I've developed a really strong interest in all 3 topics and your channel played a huge role in that. Thank you and keep up what you're doing
I was/am following the reprobate who used to live in a shed (Jimmer) and came across your channel via him and have stuck with you both, putting the odd sarky comment in every now and then. Both of you have come a long way over the years and are living your dreams in different but converging ways and are about to run in the N24 as team mates. I wish I had had the opportunity to do the same but when I was your age there was no internet and no games to get into, and now at 74 my time is long gone. Best of luck Alex, sorry, Steve and have a good life!
I think what hoocked me to the channel around 10 years ago was the dry humor. And just the fact that i loved racing and didnt own a Playstation was what really made me interested in Gran Turismo and this was the go to channel for that.
Steve, I want to thank you for introducing me to motorsport in the best possible way. Your videos got me hooked on racing and I haven’t looked back - you even inspired me to make some of my own racing videos. Watching your journey is incredibly inspiring and it’s been clear to all of us that you’ve always deserved a racing seat. And you’re only just getting started!
Steve, your channel and the Gran Turismo 7 videos that you’ve been uploading have been a key part of my newly discovered interest and passion for motorsport, I truly respect all that you have done and achieved and gave to me as a viewer and racing enthusiast. I’m happy to be experiencing your videos and racing every time you upload, and this video really made me respect you even more. Cheers, lad.
Thank you. I love this for several reasons. 1, I’m always interested on people’s journey, it was cool to see your history of racing before you started doing videos. 2, I love when people do what they are passionate about and then become successful at it, makes work a little easier then doing a job you hate. 3, It’s so cool to see the progression of your TH-cam journey. Hat’s off to you Steve. So cool! I wish I had followed my passion instead of worrying about money etc. Well maybe when I retire in a few years I’ll do something I’m passionate about. P.S. I have learned so much for watching your videos and has definitely improved my GT 7 experience. Thank you.
Some of my favorite memories was watching your live streams back in the day! You're one of the OGs and I'm very happy for everything you've achieved since 😊
So happy for you mate ,keep upgrading and make us sleep everytime. I want one favor from you is to give me a membership of your channel for the whole year❤
I watch a lot of TH-camrs but you are one of few (if not the only one) I watch videos of in their entirety without skipping seconds. You may have changed in your driving style, your way of speaking or editing videos, but your willingness to be hilarious yet competitive and informative is something you’ve been having since the beginning and it’s the thing you never changed about yourself. That demands admiration and respect. More than once you inspired me to get on gt sport or gt7 and try to follow your ghost in a time trial or replicate a race you did. We even raced together a few times in daily race C and you proved yourself to be really fast, correct and hard to overtake. I began following you in the early gt sport days and what I’ve seen from you is only the beginning. Thanks for the countless hours of entertainment, I know there’s still a lot more to laugh about ❤
Steve, I was here on your channel when you had 30k subs. I remember watching your forza 6 videos, on how to shift with a controller. I was on a different account and posted a lot of sickxfth place memes, “thank you JSR Lee Campbell memes”. It is amazing to see how far you have come and you will get even further!
I remember casually being into Forza Horizon 4 and finding your videos, your style of video made me a huge fan of GT Sport and I found myself always watching your races. I've never been interested in any other racing/driving channels. Great job! :)
What I love most about your videos is just your dry humour. That is what brings me back over and over. The content is great, but it is your humour that makes it all.
You inspired me to want to take sim racing seriously and to fall in love with racing. You’re doing exactly what you hope to do Steve, thank you for all the videos.
Your actually the whole reason i started really trying to improve in gt7 and watching u play makes me realize how much room i have to grow and i love knowing i can get better if i keep practicing so thank you for everything you do keep up the amazing work on the track and on the sim
Been following you since before the pandemic, over five years, I’m so proud of you. I’m proud to say that I’ve been following your story and life. Ended up starting track driving time attack, along with sim racing as well. Thanks so much Steve
Steve, All my life I've loved motorsport and cars, and DREAMED of racing something and ever since a started watching you videos you've made me realise how possible it is. I've always thought of you as an inspiration, and after a good few years of karting, I've been lucky enough to get my own junior rotax kart this year. I just want to say thank you for all of your content and I hope you never stop.
You’re an inspiration :) I’m in 88 and yet I’m starting to chase my dreams after all this years due to space constraints and put down by peers and family. I still decided to go ahead never too late!
What you said about having nothing going on and wanting something to talk about and be proud of, that really resonated with me. I've been in the same position, but what I've put time into is writing and painting rather than sim racing. It really made me kind of emotional to hear from somebody who was in a very similar situation as I am now (I even have a warehousing job!) and who found something they cared about, put time into and kept with, and found success. Thanks for sharing Steve
What you mentioned in the last bit is exactly what drew me in. I've never been interested in F1 or any sort of racing... just your average arcade racers now and then. But your commentary made it exciting and informative!
I loved playing Gran Turismo as a kid on PS2, when I finally picked up GT Sport after getting back into enjoying motorsport with Verstappen joining F1, I found I loved GT racing and stumbled across your channel in 2017 or 2018 which really started my love for simracing and Im still doing it now. lso still watching watching and it is crazy to see how much you have achieved over the years with real liffe racing, quadrant and much more!
Thanks Steve, this was realistic on expectation and your path up to this stage. You have a new stage to come, I hope it works out for you. You're an aspiration to the community you have created!
Hello Steve, I discovered your channel in 2018 through your video “Gran Turismo Sport: Speed Vs Fuel Efficiency” and thus rediscovered Gran Turismo for myself. This is how I found my hobby of SimRacing, which I have been doing since 2019. Thank you for your work, your videos and the time you invest for us as a community. I owe you a lot.
I've been watching you since what feels like forever, and whatching your channel grow and watching you grow into more fun races and challenges is the best feeling ever. I feel like a long time friend of yours, even though you don't know me nor have you ever seen me. But, your racing style, commentating style and overall style of creating videos just work. Educative and humourous, while being very skillfull at what you do makes such great content. Seeing you win in real life races is a cherry on top. Hope to see you in GT 3 soon and keep the content coming!
Still boggles my mind that the shy kid I met all those years ago became this big TH-cam star. Fantastic to see you doing well in the GT4, hopefully it leads to even bigger things for you.
I found you in about 2018, just before you gave up your day job, through your streams and karting vids. I loved the fact that it felt like I was watching an improving driver who wasn't yet the finished article. It's been amazing to watch you take it from karts, to GT7, to real life GT4 cars. Awesome to see, I hope to see it continue long into the future. Well done mate, miracles do happen!
Hey Steve, I just wanna say that I think you’ve already done great with your goal of making racing more approachable. I never cared at all about motor sports or racing beyond playing Need for Speed until I came across one of your Gran turismo videos last year and thought it was so interesting how you commentated in such detail about what you were doing in the race. That got me watching more of your videos and ultimately lead to racing games and Motorsports being my number one hobby. I really appreciate what you do, keep it up!
I started watching by way of the Shameful Rammers video, which I discovered during the Gran Turismo Sport days. That happened in 2018, and I’ve been here ever since. Hope to see you continue growing strong for years to come.
This is such a good watch, so much of this resonates with me and what I'm trying to do right now. So nice to hear from someone cover the 'whole story'. Gives some of us newbies some hope.
Still remember the time when you strictly posted FM and FH videos, as a long time GT player you were the reason why I picked up Forza and it was a great casual experience. I, and quite a lot of other people have seen you blossom into a bigger and better person. Please keep it up and hopefully that F1 seat will give you a call soon.
I've been watching since the FM4 days, it is especially great to see you on the Nurburgring with the team. I think it is a great inspiration to a lot of people
It´s actually insane that from doing 200 laps of Nürburgring on GT Sport a few years back to doing 24 h of Nürburgring in real life in just 2 weeks. Your story already is like a movie! I´m so happy for you!
Your sarcasm and humour is the MAIN reason I continue to watch your videos. At times you literally made my day from literally LOL 😂. I watch many channels about sim racing, but your videos are the only one that I would show to my wife cuz they crack me up so hard and it also cracked her up 😂 (mind you, she has zero interest in sim racing). Thanks for all the laughter and I’ll continue support you for a long long time 😊
Ive been watching you since the fm6 days, and to watch you grow has been one of the main staples of my life for however many years its been. Im really proud of you and so excited to see you drive IRL!!!
I've been watching you since you started uploading gt sport when it was released back in 2017, and I've always enjoyed watching your videos and especially your dry humor. Thanks for giving me something nice to watch during my lunches since then man! All the love from the Netherlands
Woah, I thought you're younger than me, it seems you've got as good genes as I've got😅 Thank you for your fm6 videos, you're a very respectful driver and you taught me to respect others in virtual online racing👍 I'm happy for you and I have to tell you you're a great guy. Not just a TH-camr type of guy but you have been yourself from beginning to this day and that's what I really restecp. I really like your sense pf humor. Cheers m8, greetings from Poland
You inspire me, Steve! Once I saw your karting and IRL racing videos, I had a change of heart about my career. I want to be a motorsport engineer! I want to be in a race environment, surrounded by racing drivers and inhaling smells of burnt rubber and gasoline. Maybe once I get enough funds, I can do karting regularly as well!
I hadn't touched racing games in 15 or so years when a Super_GT video came across my feed. I've been enjoying Gran Turismo and other racing content since. This channel is easily the biggest reason why I enjoy it now.
Thank you sir for this video. You have really created some inspiration to other people to keep on chasing their dream despite some challenges along the way. Love your dry sense or humour and sarcasm, that's the core identity of you. Congratulations on all the success you have accumulated and cant wait to see what the future holds for you.🎉
Thank you for having provided me with company when I was in college. I still watch your videos to this day and it is awesome seeing your progress. Carry on, man!!!!
It’s amazing to see how far you can get in anything you want as long as you put the time and effort into it. You have proven that! I remember stumbling across your FM4 videos way back when I was a kid, however at this point I was more into the drifting side of the game. It’s crazy to see how much your channel has grown and it is definitely something to be proud of!
I appreciated the honesty in this one. Keep reaching for higher goals, and I think I speak for everyone when I say that it's been awesome seeing you grow. Truly inspiring.
All the hats in the world off to you lol! 💜 Quite inspiring story to be honest! Thank you for all the good & entertaining stuff you ever posted on this channel! I will keep continuing the support in the future as well! I hope it is going to be just as promising, eventful and successful as it's been ever since you decided to take TH-cam more seriously!
In all fairness Steve you're a joy to watch, same as you, i started GT on PlayStation (1) You gained me as a follower late in GT Sport. You've pushed me to race online for a first, i did it just this year and i've had my first win too. That's all credit to you! I'm a real world Driver/Builder/Tuner so i have massive respect for Misha, so to see you both racing together is beautiful content. Top lad you deserve where you are 🤜🤛
Hey Steve, viewer here. I’ve been subscribed to your channel since 2014 back in the glorious forza 5 days. Such great memories of hopping in your livestreams/forza lobbies trying to keep up with you. I watched a ton of your content as well as raceboy77’s, and your community was the most fun to game with. Thanks for all you’ve done man, you’ve brought a lot of people out of their shadow realm🏎️💨
Your whole community is proud of what you‘ve achieved, Steve!
i'm not even part of the community and I'm proud of him
We love your channel Steve everyone that watches I know loves your videos thanks for giving us all so many laughs we all appreciate it
And jealous, but in a good way...keep it up. Steve!
I saw ur how to use the manual with clutch tutorial for Forza horizon two and then opened ur channel.
Im proud of him, but also sad cause he is not playing Forza Motorsport at all..
Your dry humor and meme jumpscares in the middle of an otherwise serious video are integral to what made your channel stick out to me. Been watching you since you had like 30k subs.
Same bruv! 🎉😂🔥🙏🏽
Same here!
Same. The shameful rammers video in particular made me subscribed and I've been a fan ever since
Yeah, exactly that. Also no over the top stuff, just clean, funny and interesting content.
You are huge huge huge inspiration for everyone including me Steve! Thank you!
As Jardier said you are a huge insperation to many.

No joke I am pleased to be part of your journey
It’s always great to see nice people get what they deserved and worked for.

7 year's clean ... Awesome stuff... keep it up, you're doing great 🙏😎✅👍
You're a legend my man!!! 7 years, keep it up!!!
Let’s gooo
The fact you’re an introvert and still got around to recording vlogs and livestreams shows your commitment so well done
You are literally the reason I invested in a DD wheel. Only 1 video on my channel but if I learn anything from this I think I should be okay. Love everything you do and my Mrs literally calls me sad when I get excited for your live streams 🤣
Before watching, you've become a race car driver because your yt videos are epic! Been watching for about 3-4 years, enjoyed since the first video!

You have a total of 4 (four) comments on this channel m8
Been watching for 2 years now. Genuinely can’t believe how far you’ve come mate 💯
Proud of you, consistency and publicity really did speak for you. GT world championships,WEC and IMSA Is the goal

Congratulation Steve. It is so great to see someone else going from sim to real life racing driver. Inspiration for many young people out there.
One of my favorite memories was watching your stream while I was in my office and it was raining outside. Pure bliss
Thank you Steve for sharing your journey with us, what an amazing life! Well done!
You’re not done yet big bro, keep going.
You worked your ass off! Congrats Steve! I have enjoyed living vicariously through you!
I started watching when Forza Horizon 4 came out and I've never looked back. You're the man Steve
It's been an honour to be with you alex albon, good luck doing the N24 and don't meet barry_er
Thanks for sharing Steve
were proud of you steve, keep it up
Wow, I think I’ve been watching you for 10 years? It’s been incredible seeing your grow, genuinely one of my favourite TH-camrs! Thank you Steve!
Been around since the Forza 4 days, it's been truly awesome to see the growth over the years. Thank you for years of entertainment!
What you mentioned in the last bit is exactly what drew me in. I've never been interested in F1 or any sort of racing... just your average arcade racers now and then. But your commentary made it exciting and informative!
you influenced me to get a racing sim setup about 3 years ago. You've created a lot of great memories for me, thank you
I loved playing Gran Turismo as a kid on PS2, when I finally picked up GT Sport after getting back into enjoying motorsport with Verstappen joining F1, I found I loved GT racing and stumbled across your channel in 2017 or 2018 which really started my love for simracing and Im still doing it now. lso still watching watching and it is crazy to see how much you have achieved over the years with real liffe racing, quadrant and much more!
Thanks Steve, this was realistic on expectation and your path up to this stage. You have a new stage to come, I hope it works out for you. You're an aspiration to the community you have created!
Hello Steve,
I discovered your channel in 2018 through your video “Gran Turismo Sport: Speed Vs Fuel Efficiency” and thus rediscovered Gran Turismo for myself.
This is how I found my hobby of SimRacing, which I have been doing since 2019.
Thank you for your work, your videos and the time you invest for us as a community.
I owe you a lot.
Love the content. The regularity of your posts is truly inspiring. To be able to do that while working a fulltime job is incredible.
Steve your GTS videos got me through the pandemic, and helped me discover a new passion for sim racing and Motorsport. Thank you for everything!
Your channel is the reason why I bought a sim rig and finally tried GT7. It's been a blast!
You’ve inspired me heaps mate. I’ve started my own channel and post similar videos to you. Hoping to get off the ground soon 🤞
Been here since the closing months of GT Sport-I’ve loved watching the journey!!
I hadn't touched racing games in 15 or so years when a Super_GT video came across my feed. I've been enjoying Gran Turismo and other racing content since. This channel is easily the biggest reason why I enjoy it now.
You’ve absolutely made motorsport more fun and approachable for me, so thanks and cheers, Steve!
Lando Norris is a great lad. Well deserved win recently.
It's very simple, Steve. You are a very nice guy. Your comments and attitude are either positive or funny, if you can't be positive.
In all fairness Steve you're a joy to watch, same as you, i started GT on PlayStation (1)
You gained me as a follower late in GT Sport.
Thanks for all you’ve done man, you’ve brought a lot of people out of their shadow realm🏎️💨
ive been watching you since forza 4, ten years ago and im really happy for you, where you were and what you have become.
