  • Adding pictures in a field in Microsoft Access is good. The ability to take pictures from your database can often save time and give your database the flexibility that is needed for your customer. In this video, we demonstrate how to use a utility from Bukrek.net that allows you to easily take pictures within Microsoft Access. We walk you through the process of downloading and installing the utility, implementing it in an example database, and then configuring it to take pictures during the data entry process. We also show you how to customize the naming convention and storage path for the images and provide a brief explanation of the code behind this functionality.

Hello. If I may ask this. I have an AccessImagine Activex control in my MS-Access form. Overall, everything is working alright. Is there a way, programmatically, to tell if the Activex control with an embedded picture (i.e. not linked to an external pic) is empty or not? In other words, a way, again programmatically, not visually, to detect if the activex is showing an actual embedded picture or not? I need this to check an import of a large number of pictures and want to know if the vba code missed any picture. Thanks. Jean-Claude.
PS - I tried asking AccessImagine site, no reply till now. Though they usually would…

...That said, I'm still at a loss for how to control my Webcam attached by USB via Access VBA.
