I’d like to take this opportunity to share something about this group with everyone. Now retired, I spent 24 years with a local government agency. We were considered first responders, in events of emergency. In 2005 we were deployed to the Gulf Coast after Hurricane Katrina. We ran into 3 Doors Down in New Orleans. The group is originally from Mississippi, which was underwater. No job was too much for them. They worked their butts off. Doing whatever was necessary. It was impressive & heartfelt. I was so moved by their humidity, it was very endearing.
@@creinicke1000 yeah I can understand that- i also look at it as when they’re gone on deployment- that a lot of what’s shown in the video- the saying goodbye,etc.. which I why I said the video was a must-
This song is immediately relatable for most everyone. I think we've all been in that place where we miss someone so much that our heart aches and we can't wait until we see them again.
And just like that I'm a young teen again listening to this tune and hoping that someone out there was also listening and thinking of me. Basically, I wanted to be the "You" in "Here Without You". lol
When I first heard 3 Doors Down I was quite impressed, gave me hope for the the 21st century. Jay, I hope you play. Ore of their work, Kryptonite is a really great tune. Thanks for the upload.
That's so weird this was played today on memorial day! My daughter went in the Air Force around the time of this song. I would cry missing her then she went to Dubai that was really hard!😢
My son-in-law was deployed to Iraq and Afghanistan during the popularity of this song. It was hard on my daughter. Thank your daughter for her service. 🇺🇲
First of all, goes without saying, but your daughter is amazing. Also, from what I remember about this band, I believe they were quite active in performing for troops and supporting the armed forces:)
Javon ur are the second reactor I downloaded last year. Jamal was the first. I always come back too u two for my reactions to songs. Keep up the good reactions.
Love this song! Jay- They also have a great hit that would have been perfect for Memorial Day- it’s called “when I’m gone.” OFFICIAL video is- must- they’re performing on a ship- all for and about our troops-💙✌️🇺🇸
Thanks for doing this. It makes me cry for someone who died and isn't here any more. I know the song probably isn't about that, but for me it hits home. Thanks xxxx
They had some great songs back in the day. I love their song “Away From the Sun” It’s sad but really beautiful. Please check out John Newman “Love Me Again” It’s so good!!
This song came out not long after my husband died. Hurt then, hurts now. Some lines hit hard Dont hear it often, but when i do, it takes me back to my mourning. Miss you Bob.

Either way... it turned out to be an amazing song. I can't hear it enough 🔥🤘😍
Seen them in concert a few years back. Their lead singer, Brad, is one of the most humble people you could meet; such a nice guy. Check out Landing in London by them.
This song has such Special memories for me. I love it but it makes me cry Everytime. The person I connect with this song was tragically killed in 2003. It will always be our song. Check out Landing In London. I saw 3 Doors Down live, they really are great.
Took my kids to see these guys 16 years ago. I am glad 3 doors down was their first concert. The girls knew and sang all their songs. 9 and 10 years old fans.
Maybe you could try the band “Creed” They got so much grief when they came out. Frankly i don’t see a good reason why. A few good songs are “My Sacrifice” “Arms Wide Open” “My Own Prison.” ❤️❤️
They were good but Alter Bridge is better. Imo. Myles Kennedy's voice and guitars are unbelievable. Jimmy Page said if they were ever to sub a lead man, it'd only be Myles.
To this day this is still one of my favorite songs all time. I'm glad to see you enjoyed it! I would definitely recommend more from them, they really have some great songs.
Hey just wanted to say you have good energy and vibe about you. Love your smile too keep playing all these great classic songs that definitely deserves more recognition that some of the music that is out there these days
