Great improvements (all of which it has always amazed me BMW didn't do as standard or AT LEAST offer as options!!) What planet are their designers / marketing bods on these days?! I put bar risers / backs on everything. GS/GSA (of all era), S1000R, etc. The key is to fit the ones which go up AND back and to pivot the handlebars as far towards you as possible without the levers facing the sky and brake fluid going everywhere! :-) That makes it optimum for road use. I think the Urban GS model is probably an easier start with all the above? Think the handlebars on the Urban GS are slightly more generous? Either way, that's the one I would 'modify', but BMW should have got this right in the first place! They could have offered the standard one (as is) for shorter riders and 'budget' option and then a sexed up version with plush suspension and better ergos etc. Anyway, well done for seeing it through.
@@lb1672 - Great to get your thoughts and I agree with all your points re BMW - just crazy.
I should have said - my bar risers do bring them closer to me - that seem very comfortable indeed.
I will engineer the pegs to go a bit lower and it will be perfect.
Overall tho, I’m really happy with the result - probably the nicest bike I’ve ever ridden.

@@FarmerTorque Great news. It is also amazing that BMW STILL didn't fix these issues even on the very latest refreshed model (which also doesn't look as good as the earlier ones)!
@@lb1672 that’s interesting 🧐 and no, the new ones don’t look as good do they 😳 if BMW had produced a bike similar to mine now I believe it would have sold very well - Hey Ho !
