You should react to this live at Montreal. Freddie, shirtless, barefoot and in white short shorts! Freddie sticking it to the director who wanted him to wear the same clothes for both concerts and to make the same moves. Funny that you are so impressed with the drums. John Deacon who wrote this song wanted the drum sound to be a certain way and Roger, the drummer, initially didn’t want to do it the way John wanted. They are all geniuses.
In my estimation John Deacon/ Bassist/vocals who wrote this song is the star. The opening bass riff sets the tone. Roger Taylor drummer/vocals is awesome too. This song came out in 81, MTV was in its infancy so this got played a lot.
This was written by John Deacon who also plays all the guitars on the recording. Brian May contributed sound effects. The drums are deadened. Roger preferred a big ringing sound. Freddie’s performances usually relate to the song lyrics and music. Here Steve is walking down the street with the brow of his hat down low, so Freddie liked to wear a hat - sombrero, baseball cap, whatever. Love how when he does the vocal run he leaps from the drum podium. He does this live too. Note that the colour of the horned cap keeps changing bc Freddie who had a pile of them had fun mucking about with continuity. Queen’s biggest hit in USA. Go Deaky! ❤
I am surprised that you have never heard this song before ….it has always been extremely poplar. Michael Jackson who was friends with the band …..told Freddie that they should release this as a single and it became a number one hit. You watched the original studio version …. But you really should see it performed live ….Freddie makes it a longer song on stage. I am enjoying your Queen journey……but you have so much more to learn about this band. Don’t Stop Me Now” and “I Want It All” are songs that you might recognize…… please react to the official studio videos. These songs are from 1978 and 1989 ……I would love to see you react to both of these. Thank you 💕
The drummer Roger Taylor is Queen’s secret weapon with his high falsetto & brilliant harmonies that’s without singing whilst never missing a beat … can’t be beaten ❤❤❤❤
A fun piece of work! Count on the unique creativity of these iconic musicians to more than satisfactorily entertain!! Roger Taylor on Drums, John Deacon slapping that bass and Brian May getting unique sounds from his guitar. John wrote this hit.
Wembley 1986 concert check out another one Bites the Dust live. Rodger Taylor on drums. As for the guitar the( red special) homemade by Brian May and he's dad as when Brian was first starting out he could not afford to buy a Gibson or a fender so they made their own guitar out of a fireplace and an old table that's why the red special has a unique sound like no other guitar. Brian may such a cool dude did you know he's an astrophysicist he's worked for NASA all members of this band has wrote number one hits❤ great reaction
"Brian May contributed noises with his guitar and an Eventide Harmonizer. There are no synthesisers in the song, all effects are created by piano, electric guitars and drums, with subsequent tape playback performed in reverse at various speeds. Finally, sound effects were run through the harmonizer for further processing. The effect of the harmonizer can be heard clearly in the "swirling" nature of the sound immediately before the first lyric. Freddie just went in there and hammered and hammered until his throat bled."
This is literally the most famous bass line in rock and you aren’t giving John Deacon his just desserts? He wrote this number 1 hit and his bass is epic in this track. This would be nothing without his bass.
first reactor I have heard mention that piece of Guitar at the end. It's almost my favourite bit.... How about Dragon Attack or Save Me live at Montreal 1981?
The sounds are from Brian's guitar all thanks to the amp he is using this was built by John bass player he made it from junk when the couldn't afford an amp. This song was not going to be a single but a good friend of the band advised them to release it,after watching their concert, the friend was Michael Jackson. He said he got inspiration from Queen especially for Thriller
Breakthrough. Who Wants To Live Forever (Official Video) I Want It All). White Queen (Odeon) Spread Your Wings (video) Death On Two Legs. Save Me. Kind Of Magic (Wembley). Somebody To Love (Montreal. Love Of My Life (Rio) Don’t Stop Me Now. Now I’m Here (Wembley Roger cam ). 39(Lyric Video).
please just react to the full Bohemian rhapsody video. what you saw on live aid was only 2 min of the 6 min song Ray Foster: It goes on forever, six bloody minutes! Freddie Mercury: I pity your wife if you think six minutes is forever ("Bohemian Rhapsody" 2019 biopic)
If you want to see a longer version watch the Wembley concert in 1986. Its amazing xx

@@LindaChambers-gy2zl Nope just Freddie’s sense of humour. ❤🎤

Queen was so creative. They were groundbreaking in everything they did. And had such influence on the music industry
R.I.P FREDDIE WE MISS YOU

I think this is a standout for John Deacon's bass. And yes those odd sounds come from Brian's home made (with his dad) guitar, the Red Special.
Give Deacy the bass player some love! He is what makes the song a ripping bass line

Watch the live performance at Wembley 1986. A much funkier vibe.
Funnily enough the drummer hated how the drums had sounded in this song but it suits here perfectly.

Dragon attack. Liar. Love of my life at Wembley. Under pressure
Freddie lead vocals brian guitar John bass and Roger drums

Deacy and his bass something else .Guess you missed the bass.
I think it's the baseline that's bumping you, not so much the drums. Jonn Deacon- the bass man designed the equipment for the interesting sounds.
Im almost sure that the sound your hearing is the bass player John Deaken hes wrote the song and this rift is famous
