- Update 1.21 is finally here, which means it is time for operation Hellstorm. In this video we will design an orbital strike cannon capable of delivering water sources anywhere in the nether dimension, leanring about update suppression, falling block entities and the challenges in making the orbital strike cannon fully omnidirectional.
Huge thanks to @savva4424 for help with understanding the code and how the suppression exploit works.

I can’t wait for Raysworks to discover how to get waterlogged scaffolding into the Nether
For Real
I can hear his voice now about how he discovered it.
"If you don't have scaffolding you can build my super simple infinitely automatic bamboo farm that I invented. That should provide you with the bamboo needed to craft these blocks."
I knew he was scummy, but I didn't know he was that scummy
Don’t be disrespectful!! Ray is man who designed every farm in the game !! 😡

That's a small price to pay.
You only need to do it once as you can use kelp to create more sources from flowing water.

Also most of the people on the Prototech server admitted to him bullying them before he was banned

Raysworks sounds like the kind of guy who belongs in the second half of an Hbomberguy video
That is oddly specific, but incredibly true at the same time. He could be one of the sub chapters of the video subject that suddenly becomes the main character. Just like how the Roblox Oof sound video suddenly became a video about Tommy Tallarico.
cubicmetre finally being the one to bring light to issues such as paper and raysworks. these guys are the modern day shulkercraft frfr
I mean, Shulkercraft is more like a refined form of Raysworks. They actually have a buisness strategy that involves using other peoples technical builds to draw in views. They are getting better in terms of obtaining permission but there are still issues with the way they use builds sometimes.

CubicMetre isn't the best technical player on minecraft, he is just the best one on youtube. The better ones don't have time to film/edit videos for youtube, they are busy playing minecraft.
Nah, cubic was and still remains average if not bad at cannon tech, can easily confirm this via checking what others have designed
yeah, as mentioned by our favourite observer-faced technical Minecraft player (in a recent video by CraftyMasterman), the tnt-cannon part of technical Minecraft can be extremely toxic and elitist. Technical Minecraft TH-camrs as we know them are usually much better at fostering positive and inclusive environments (as far as I'm aware. I'm sure there are the exceptions that we viewers are blind to).
They are still very good at what they do, we cannot diminish that. So in hopes to stave off nasty comments from them, I'd understand him downplaying his ability somewhat.
But if I'm honest, this seemed more like him being honest and humble. Self-aware that he isn't the forefront of this sector, and it also allows viewers to know there's other things to explore. "The crazy stuff you see here is only the surface of this all"
He's still highly skilled in this regard, and it deserves major respect

To be even more overkill and fix the problem of the waterlogged scaffolding not arriving in the shape to immediately make an infinite water source, maybe you could predict the alignment with the block grid and add an input to the machine to toggle between the two distances shown in the videos set when separating the payloads, so that it works every time.
If you can predict that the scaffoldings will not arrive correctly, you could also just output on the spreadsheet that that configuration/location is not recommended.
Anyways, love the vids, they are always so engaging, inspiring, and educational.
This would technically be possible to implement, but would require a manual toggle and an indication from the spreadsheet.
I don't think that's necessary. For my nether water project, I was able to use bone meal and kelp/seagrass to spread water wherever I want. To move water up, I used a mangrove root, sticky piston, and a button on the side. Which let me get >300k water sources from just 1.

15:09 Allowing us to generate a Update Suppression server crash every single second. Amazing :D
The amount of time and effort that goes into these videos is truly insane. Not only is there the R&D that goes into the construction of the machines themselves, but then said design process is compacted down into an entertaining, well-edited video with exceptionally clear explanations of the principles at play. Cubic is without a doubt one of the best TMC communicators out there.
Wow, thanks, generally I consider my video editting to be rather mediocre as I spend a lot more time building the things. But its good that some people appreciate the format.
@@cubicmetre i like the more minimal style of editing, it matches your content. the stuff you make is impressive enough, no need for fancy editing tricks
@@cubicmetre honestly, your editing has always been clear, unobtrusive, and concise. This is a premier method of communicating complex technical details.
Some of the most impressive details from your videos have been the ways you have used visuals to explain systems better (cross-sections of/selective-visibility on the big schematics). You also have above average video and audio quality, with music that does not distract.
The qualities of your voice are nice on the ear, and your speech holds interest. You naturally add humour into the videos, while still getting your points through.
You also show a deep specialised knowledge on the topics you cover, which establishes you as a respectable authority on said topics.
Getting each of these things right isn't natural for everyone, and can require a lot of effort if they don't come naturally.
You wrap a large amount of these desirable qualities into a very polished video. And on top of that, it happens regularly (for this quality of content). And on these really interesting and novel topics!
Yeah, you do show some editing flare from time to time, and those are so lovely to see when they do exist. I definitely love them. But that's just eye-candy on top of the strong content which is the core of what you offer. The substance of your videos is what brings people back time and time again.
Eye-candy without this core, is very hollow. It can grab eyes and get them to subscribe, but it alone doesn't keep them.
I hope you don't feel as if you need to keep pushing those boundaries of those flares to keep your success going!!

Such a cool video! ❤️
Loved the video, but one comment: Instead of having to send the scaffolding to the nether, just send one through, then build the overworld contraption in the nether. Saves the effort of the waterlogged scaffolding being sent to the overworld
The player needs to go to the cannon to use it, so that would risk loading the chunks containing the scaffolding. Storing them in the overworld is much safer because the overworld is much bigger and there is much less of a risk for players to accidentally load the falling block storage.
