In later interviews, Joe Buck said he loved this segment. It was exactly what he wanted. Artie had been blacklisted by the HBO execs, and Joe demanded they let Artie back on the show. Once I heard how Joe really felt, I can appreciate how he tried to navigate the provocateur, and was actually enjoying himself.
