@@Draggy5635 Not to mention the monsters often had the party banter about their nature even voiced and written, made it a rewarding experience to face off against "new" foes!

@@FAH_26 i know this is from a year ago but you actually can quick save inside, just depends where you're standing. I loved the Water Temple because 1) It was the only temple that felt like a challenge on itself (The other 3 were easy other than their respective bosses maybe). 2)It felt more complete and longer... you actually feel like in a maze of sorts. The other 3 are very simple when you get to it. 3)The music. I really think the temple they worked on the most was Water... Still listening to this in 2024. The trials of water that test the player itself. This song portrays its underlying message very well; that in a quest to do good, one's very soul is at risk. It is a battle with oneself whenever one is pursuing good.
It makes me sad that one day, the universe will finally come to an end and all of our accomplishments, all our art, music and history will eventually amount to nothing.
When you put it that way, it makes it seem like life itself is just a dream and that we never had souls, as if we're puppets... to an even greater force.
Cant believe this is still around. It popped in my mind while I was working. The lack of life in the comment section feels like I'm walking into an empty, ancient temple.
I don't know that people really actively decide to play Zestiria given its age and order in the series (despite how relatively good I think it is in comparison). It's kind of tricky to get a hang of the control scheme for a new player as well. I literally rage quit it as a kid when fighting zaveid because I had the brain of an 9-year-old trying to understand how the Battle Action system, utilizing certain inputs for critical combos against monster types, armatize system, and item management all at once (btw I hate how Free and Free wasn't a standard toggleable option in the menu). I only recently remembered it existed and wanted to beat it. Great for nostalgia, love the skits, but I don't think I'd recommend the game to the subgroup of my friends who like rpgs. If I asked them about the Tales games, I'd get a fat "Huh?" Time commitment can be daunting as well for a working person, which also works against it some.

The water shrine trial is the best for me. It's a nice kind of annoying in the sense that it gets easier as you go through it but neither too easy nor too hard that you wanna quit. And yeah, maybe I liked it more becoz of mikleo... Blends with his character... graceful, sophisticated, intelligent but kind and vulnerable too. Like his love for sorey: sometimes antagonistic but unconditional, riddled with trials but enduring... yay, sorry just my opinion...
I honestly didn't find this dungeon that hard lol. If you're unsure if your bubble will hold for any longer, just pace around on one safe tile till you can reset the bubble again.
The Trial music is DEFINITELY my favorite!!!!! This one might be my favorite... but it's hard to say! Dungeon was definitely not my favorite though. -.-
Woah watch out we got a badass here! I'm kidding, somewhat, but depending how many water temples you've gone through, you must be really lucky/full of patience.
"oh no,I have to stop and be careful I walk on top of these two tiles with my bubble on ! It is oh so hard to do!" Yeah, totally seeing the intense amount of precision required. They even give you two bloody checkpoints.
I am not sure if you have actually played that part of the game or just saw a walk through. Anyhow, the precision I am referring to it the exact location your character must be standing in order to pass these eye thingies. Your character's toes must slightly through the floor's line, but not any more through or else you will be caught. You can only walk through two blocks at a time, No more (Witch in some rooms you need to remember that due to limited paths.) And finally, Once in the bauble, You must walk in a straight line or else it will pop midway. Now why is this all hard you may ask? Simply put, This part was introduced fairly late in the game. (Almost after 30 hours in my play-through.) And over all that time before and after this part, there was not a single part that required such preciseness in navigation. people would just blindly walk in maps but this time it was much harder thus very annoying.
***** I have played it,in fact. Just recently. Is it a change of pace, yes. Is it overtly annoying? Only if you don't get the hint to take a breather and not plow through the dungeon as usual.

"Could it be that Asura and the guy that wrote this diary are the same person?!?!" Jesus Christ, the Zestiria Cast sometimes was way too stupid to endure. Hope the next Tales gets better. Also, give the composer of the temple-themes a little more work next time, he did an awesome job.
Actually, considering they were acting under the premise that a Seraphim Lord would attempt to purify a Sheperd that strayed rather than just let him wander endlessly as a "test" I say they were mostly in denial. If you want actual pieces of stupidity go farther back to Tales of SYmphonia and Tales of Graces. LeonGun8 If you listen to the dialogue again, you will notice that they are totally clueless and suprised. I actually never played Symphonia, but I notice this habit of characters that are driven by the plot instead of a character-driven plot way too often in jrpg's. It becomes tedious.
MoreImbaThanYou And there's also a point where Dezel reminds them that Seraphimare not inherently "Good" to which Sorey's expression darkens.Basically Sorey and Mikleo operate on the assumption that malevolence is the source of all "evil", hence they can't fathom that seraphim are capable of betrayal,or that serial killers can be "pure" (it's even part of the story for them to realize killing can be salvation for those too far gone). So while yes it was clumsily done I assumed what they really wanted to drive was Sorey and Mikleo's naive belief that a "pure" Seraphim would not betray their chosen Sheperd nor use him in such a sadistic way (by letting him wander eternally as a monster rather than purifying him or giving him a mercy-kill). I pointed Symphonia because of a very easily spotted "plot twist" in it where a character ends up being one of the bad guys and through half of the game he literally drops clues in almost every scene that focuses on him.
