Weirdly enough the mall near me still has a PSA thing next to the map kiosks with Toonsylvania characters telling us to conserve electricity and turn out the lights. It has been up since '99.
Dude. This is so crazy but I just took my kid to his first nerd flea market a few weeks back and he got the same Lego -style burning Godzilla! Too cool to see a small town hosting one of these.
Omg! That Ollie Grab figure! I had that as a little kid! I even remember the sticker it came with! I never saw any of other figures of the line! I totally forgotten about that figure! I totally destroyed it lol!
Duuuude! I remember those toonsylvania toys! I've been trying to remember what they were called for the longest time! I remember being freaked out by them as a kid lol. Thanks for the nostalgia blast. I need to reaquire some of those.
Picked up the 2 big Legions of Power sets for a steal a few months back, they were sealed but I couldn't resist cracking them open. Really underrated line in my opinion.
I've got a few of those slammers figures myself, a dude on marketplace was selling a bunch of random stuff and they just happened to be mixed in, they're pretty neat toys!
I had the one but I never saw any of the others! Man that was a totally recall moment in my memory! Totally forgotten about that guy! I even remember putting the sticker on my fisher price car!
@@scockery oh me too dude, it’s most the reason why I don’t collect the vintage line. They could be missing everything with broken legs and want those prices. I’ll stick with classics and origins
@@sethious1 What kills me, is that loose MOTU were everywhere in the 90's when my family would go to garage sales and to flea markets. People were almost giving the stuff away, even as other 80's stuff was starting to gain in aftermarket value, MOTU was slow to gain traction. I wasn't interested in revisiting the line back then. So I usually passed it by.
@@sethious1 It's that dumb "I KNOW WHAT I GOT" mentality from people who clearly don't. I also spotted a Kenner Predator for 25 bucks, you could get one on ebay for about that much.
Ive been watching your videos for about 3 years!!! I had no idea you were from Springfield! I was droving down Stevenson and spotted that show so i had to stop and shop! Keep up the great videos!!!!
Thank you for the great videos and the great information from the videos. The flea market looked like it was a lot of fun.I live in Minnesota and my area has been having shows starting to come back more and more lately.I am glad that I purchased your book it has been a great help in my collecting and been very fun to look through.
Man I would of bought that eyeball guy myself... wonder if he inspired the Neversoft mascot 🤔. Been loving these toy hunting vids man keep up the good work dan you top lad.
I live in Canada and I found all the SLAMMERS toys at some liquidation store in '92 probably. My reaction to that guy at 9 was similar to yours as an adult.
Love seeing little popups that actually have vintage toys like that. Unfortunately out here in So Cal all I see are stuff from Walmart and Target with flippers doing their thing. Looking forward to seeing you at PowerCon, I'd really like for you to sign my copy of your book.
Man every time I see a video like this I get a bit jealous, not in a bad way but still... In my country things like this don't happen and we don't have special events for figures, we get some comic book and anime/manga/cosplay events but figures are never on the main menu. OFC on those geek events we have shops selling figures but never vintage toys, the figures they sell are the ones being released that I already bought for a way better price online.
I'm up in Rockford and been having some decent luck up here as of late....bought an entire basement collection of G.I. Joe ARAH...dude gave me a very fair deal.
I had that 12-inch Duke! He must still be around somewhere. I took good care of him, didn't lose his helmet, boots and backpack or holsters (I think he had a knife and pistol), but the rifle might have disappeared. My little brother had Cobra Commander. Was that SteelHeart $200? Holy crap! I might have picked her up if she was $20... I had one of those Macho Man figures too.. Oh, that Transformers/G.I.Joe booth.. I literally dream about that sort of thing. 😢
. Dragon Walker is kind of like the G.I. Joe bridge layer how would you get from one Mountain to another with a deep gorge in the middle with the dragon walker a very practical vehicle in that realm

Where IS your mouth cover? First IS your Life later IS the toys
Holy Cannoli this is right down the street from the Hardee's where we always have our classic car cruise-ins
Can you do this again next year , because I went to Portillo's that day and then I went to go roller skating and missed out completely on all the fun
whats the big green figure you are holding while looking cool? (1:02)

Your wife has the classic. "My husband's a toy collector and I have to handle the kids today" face.

Nice video my friend!
I hardly recognised you with the new look - great video
can't wait to get out hunting again seeing all these toys :-D
Nice vid Dan. Keep em coming.
I had Lip Slide from the Slammers! I LOVED that toy!!!
Toy Island also did great playsets for Robo Cop in the early 90s.
I've got a few of those slammers figures myself, a dude on marketplace was selling a bunch of random stuff and they just happened to be mixed in, they're pretty neat toys!

45 for a broken He-man, just a bit ridiculous lol
If I saw that at a yard sale I'd be hesitant to pay a dollar for it.

5:29 The guy who wrote the book on classic MOTU called Buzz Saw Hordak "Hurricane Hordak". HAW-HAW!
Man I would of bought that eyeball guy myself... wonder if he inspired the Neversoft mascot 🤔. Been loving these toy hunting vids man keep up the good work dan you top lad.

Very nice designs, but I prefer colored shirts 👍🏻🏅👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻🍻
Star Comics #1 for 15? Damn, prices have gone up. Ten years ago I could get those all day for maybe 5 bucks including shipping.
I'm up in Rockford and been having some decent luck up here as of late....bought an entire basement collection of G.I. Joe ARAH...dude gave me a very fair deal.
What even ARE those guys at 2:54 Dan is parting with?! Those are awesome!
