Pro Pinball was so ahead of its time for graphics and physics - even today it would be very playable! Got great and much deserved reviews when it came out.
From this video, there are a few things i realized, either from memory, or from an established fact: 1 - Pinball Action is the single most played video pinball game ever. 2 - Pinball Dreams, Pinball Fantasies, and Pinball Illusions, were the most well known and played Pinball game series on Amiga, and PC. 3 - There were A LOT of crap pinball games, more than i realized. 4 - There were a lot of cash-grabs. 5 - The one series that always kept the spirit of pinball, >>in a realistic manner
Oh wow! You're telling me that THE, single most played video pinball game of all time is from 1985!? I'm 45, but that fact made me feel a lot older. Seriously, is there anyone on this earth, over the age of 35, that has never played Pinball Action? Was there ever an arcade that didn't have this game? Actually i'm sure there were, but its rhetorical, this game was so common that you damn near tripped on it whatever arcade you went to.
A few games I've played that weren't here: Video Pinball from Atari (a glaring early omission I played in compilations), Horror Pinball Bundle for Nintendo Switch (bad), and some black-and-white Macintosh pinball game that had a Twilight Zone table (made using that computer's version of Pinball Construction Set, it seems).

All 4 of those tables were great. I think The Web was my favorite though. But they were all good in their own ways.
The evolution of pinball games. If any games are missing from this list, please feel free to mention them in comments. Which one is your favorite?

I remember the Pinball Construction Set, but I had it for the Tandy 1000.
