    the softness of his voice, the quality narrative content, and good videography contrasts with the punk American kid appearance. love seeing deers living in harmony not being hunted like they are here. and I love those old buildings.

    Dude I love how you work out the history into your vids. My japan vlogs are so fast its hard to get them out daily so I sacrifice history for speed. Epic Nara edit!

    Great vids Sam! Please keep them coming, best Japan videos on TH-cam!
    Those deer were a bit overboard last week and ended up with an antler in my pocket. My eldest had about 5 of them following him around looking for more food and ransacked his backpack! You're right, these deer are savages!
    Cool thing happened when we were there, donated a 1000 yen to have our name and wish placed on a roofing tile of Todaiji Temple. They say it will be up there for 60-90 years!
    Watching Nakatani make mochi was quite the experience and great mochi! Great guy, we posed with him and got some great pics!
    Appreciate your informative vids, made this a special trip for my son and I and I got to brush-up on my Japanese. Thanks again for the great vids!

    The plural of deer is "deer", not "deers" - just as the plural of "sheep" is also "sheep". Blinking American 'English' 🤣 I agree that the sign probably says "limes", as the top corners clearly serve as a border. However, the "l" has a different font. Hmm...

    Love your videos! Planning my trip to Japan and was wondering if it was easier to have a day trip from Kyoto or Osaka to Nara?

    • @TheBellTree
      @TheBellTree  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Kelli Sue You can't go wrong either way. Nara is about 30-45 minutes away from either. Osaka may be a bit closer.

    Great video and cool place to visit. Inside the temple you can pay a thousand yen to add a personal message to one of the future tiles for the roof of Todiji. Nakatanisan is a must see, I was videoing my son close to Nakatanisan and several tourist thought my son worked there. Was too funny, although he's only 1/4 Japanese, he looks more Japanese than I do.
    One last thing, don't know if anyone here has been unlucky enough to see a Japanese giant hornet. Unfortunately we did see one fly over the wall and into the Todiji vendor stalls, everyone scattered quickly including myself. Actually heard it first, sounded like a small helicopter.
